Obama's support is down to 56% among likely voters in the Rasmussen tracking polls and his plans are not even pulling majorities.

In the House, there are 49 Dems representing Red districts McCain won in a really big Dem election and the GOP needs just 39 of them to win back the House in 2010.

Me too. I believe in principals before party, but self interest (as far as not wanting to lose an election) works too. That’s why redistricting sucks…it would be better if none of these people were ever safe.; 3/10/09, 8:37 AM

holdfast said...: I more republicans in the Congress had resisted their party's big spending ways prior to '06, then might even be in power today. Until January of this year, I had thought that Republican congress to be the most irresponsible spendthrifts since the 1960s - and at the time they were, thought Reid and Pelosi have subsequently reduced them to piker status.
