I love living in the Deep South. Three days ago, I pulled in the plants for our first (let's hope the only) freeze of the year, and today it was in the low 70s. There's never a shortage of green in the landscape.
But I've lived where there are real seasons, and these pictures left me longing for some time up North. I miss the Berkshires, where we spent a couple of months during our Katrina evacuation.

That couple walking down the road in such think fog...brrr...what about cars that can't see them until it's too late? I don't want to think about it.
Looks like your getting your annual January thaw.
Wow. That first one is breathtakingly beautiful. I still think you should publish a book of your best work.
Ron, it's a bike path. Built on an old RR right-of-way.

Whew, good it's just a bike path!
And I am often in a think fog when I type!
On this blog the think fog creeps in on little squirrel-like feet...
Ron, you're on a roll!
Those are simply stunning photographs.
Thanks Theo...As I am German would that be a.... Kaiser roll? (drum snare sting)
I'll be here through the end of the week! Try the veal!
Nice 'hood. Looks like one of those paintings... by that guy who's name I can't remember. You know "The painter of light"? That guy.
Art snobs say you're not supposed too but I like his pictures.
