Apropos of off-blog Althouse, I had the best Bolognese sauce this weekend -- you have to check out Sfoglia on the Upper East Side when you're in New York.

Equal? Yuck.

So, was it cinnamony in there? Or does your coffee shop of choice keep the spice aroma under control?

How long did the crossword and acrostic take?

Does posting this pic of the answers before they are published in the NYT infringe upon their copyright?

They do have a 900 number for clues, you've potentially cost them money.

Fabulous.

And you did the entire crossword puzzle on only one cup of java? love it! :)

Prosecutor: "Did you notice anything interesting during Professor Althouse's time at the table?"

Barista: "Well, she did turn her iPhone over as I approached, and placed it squarely on top of the red journal she had been hurriedly making notes in . . ."

Eros and Bris, side by side? A tad disconcerting!

Ann, may I ask what model MacBook you've got? Pro? Non-pro?

And exactly what part of this carefully arranged montage are we supposed to think is "off-blog Althouse"?!

Anyway, there is no such thing as off-blog Althouse for your drooling admirers. It's all Althouse, all the time, as you seem to encourage. Watch out, Annie, for unintended consequences!!

As fine an example of crema as I have seen in awhile. Nice job on the floral display of cream.

Thanks for sharing this totally civilized java time.

Ann Althouse said...

Actually, there's a mistake. It should be Hueys and Eula.

Ann Althouse said...

But it's not a posed montage (except as framed with the camera).

The mark of the aristocrat is never to finish a crossword. Smacks too much of cleverness.

Ann Althouse said...

And it's not "bris" it's "sris."

"Not a posed montage" is a PERFECT name for your posed monatage.

It captures everything Annie; the affect, the contradictions.

Cool!!!

AJD suffers so.

Oh no, Annie!

You don't get it.

But I'm totally enjoying myself--especially recently. The performance art has been perfect!

You just don't get it.

The first picture is exquisite.

Ann really does have a nice rack.

At least this time the crossword was completed!

I had to look away from the solved clues on the acrostic puzzle. I haven't done it yet! Spoiler alert, please! :)

Looks like you're having fun Ann. But please quit pimping the NYTS :)

AJD: Anyway, there is no such thing as off-blog Althouse for your drooling admirers. It's all Althouse, all the time, as you seem to encourage.

Too funny. Is the irony lost on you? You're obsessed with her.
