And perhaps that's exactly what Trump wants in a person who will speak for him to the press. If he wants a "Fighter and Warrior," why not someone who conveys strong emotion — vehement, passionate emotion?

Those UFC fighters are athletes in top shape. They can take a punch. A lot of those reporters are overweight and out of shape. The first time Dana White body slams one of them, there will be hell to pay. Sure, as Dave Chappelle would say, you'll feel good watching Jim Acosta getting thrown against the wall, but that's really not the way polical discourse should be handled in America.

I hope that all of the Republicans in Congress understands that the deeper Trump sinks into his division, this will stick to them like tar. They may roll their eyes, but if they don't speak up, in 2028 they will be tied to this craziness and go down like a duck tied to a millstone.
Cutting DEI, welfare and federal employment is not going to win the female vote. Closing the border forces wages up, disproportionately favoring working class men. Trump stopped student loan forgiveness, something that overwhelming favors female students. On any number of issues, Trump took the anti-woman position. The women who decided this election, didn't give a fig about the Iran War. They weren't fighting it. They didn't care about plummeting crime rates because men are the principal victims of violence. Enraged women who showed up to vote didn't care that median income levels were at their highest levels because they just lost their no show job at an NGO, their food stamps and Medicaid.
Trump and the Republicans are not going to win single women or minority women's votes. They need to appeal to men. Appointing Dana White Press Secretary is an extremely heavy handed way of doing so. But it's the first step.

Dana is a very smart guy. He's built an empire through sheer will and hard work. And he's learned a ton along the way. I'm hoping he is smart enough to not get caught up in Washington DC bullshit. Politely decline.
