"But did Haley Stevens expect that, by switching her support from a Democrat to a Republican, she would receive the media's Liz Cheney Country Over Party award?"

The velvet glove has been stripped away, but old Nancy Pelosi's iron fist is just a bony claw now. The Van Winkle Progressives are losing their monopoly on omerta.

Leftmedia douchenozzles like this one know Abdul is bad for the country and may even cost the Democrats some useful idiots. He just can’t help himself once his knee starts jerking.

It's funny to watch lefties discover that in fact there's NO such thing as a principled lefty.

You have to be a decent and worthwhile human being to have principles. And that's pretty much impossible to accomplish on the Left, because the Left is only about obtaining and using political power, not actually making teh world a better place.

She was supported by AIPAC, Schumer, etc, and *LOST* the primary, in other words, she's another Israel firster.

RCOCEAN II said...

I didn't see any "country over party' rhetoric from her. She missed a big chance.

Maybe she didn't go that route, because D's aren't as stupid as R's. The Democrat know that's all bullshit, and they want to know the *real* reason, she's turning their back on all her previous campaign rhetoric.

You'll notice that when Mittens swtiched from 2016 Never Trumper, we need to throw the election to Hillary cause "Country over Party", to 2018 "Yeah Trumps nots so bad" nobody said boo about it. That's because R's are dumb. They even gave him a Senate seat.

Precious example of how the media carries water for the Democrats - the no enemy to the left Democrats. Compare this to the fawning treatment Marjorie Greene received when she turned on Trump.

By abandoning El-Sayed less than 48 hours before Election Day, Stevens has reinforced the perception that her political loyalties lie more with the pro-Israel lobby’s foreign-policy priorities than with her state, her party, or her constituents. Critics have long pointed to the roughly $30 million in support from an AIPAC-affiliated super PAC during her primary campaign.

Stevens may try to dismiss the fallout as a “private decision,” but the political damage is anything but private. Her apparent capitulation has put her career in jeopardy, all for a moment of notoriety that has been widely ridiculed. And now, many are pointing fingers at her fiancรฉe as the driving force behind the decision.

"He gets progressively" is the most underused sentence in American politics.

Republicrat, the uniparty admits its existence.

Hombre said...

Steven’s had a great opportunity to say, “El-Sayed is an extremist. He is bad for the party and bad for the country!” Nothing more was necessary.

Of course Anderson is angry with her. She's committing heresy in violation of everything for which CNN stands.

RideSpaceMountain said...

Anderson is literally gaysplaining - to a woman - how the ratchet of bipartisanship is only ever supposed to move in one direction. Lol.

Her staff all quit, BTW, she should switch parties already. I was a Reagan Democrat and voted R since 1984, and am now a Trump Democrat, and after this election, I am done with voting.

Note the swift "Stevens is a tool of da JOOOOOS!" from our resident leftists and anti-semite trolls like Tim.

Funny, I thought that the Democrats were proud of having the support of Jews. Now they blame them, openly, like IEEE just did, for everything wrong.

What's the difference between todays Democrats and the National Socialists of 1933 again?

Best quip about this mess.

Abdul El-Sayed raised more than $2.4 million on Sunday, setting a single-day fundraising record for the campaign.

Turns out Haley Stevens is good for the democrats after all.

Of course he's peeved. Cooper is more invested in the success of the Democratic party than Haley Stevens is.

The Rebellion PAC ad referred to by Stevens was not produced by the El-Sayed campaign. It was not authorized by the El-Sayed campaign. The total amount of the digital ad spend associated with the ad was a whopping $5,000 in the context of an election where there has been over $100 million spent.

Stevens and the Israel lobby used the ad as a pretext for her endorsement. The irony is that they probably called more attention to the ad than it would have otherwise received.

Stevens' fiancรฉ had already backed Rogers.

What is actually going on is that El-Sayed is winning the election and the Israel lobby and Republicans are desperate for him to lose. This is a desperate last minute gambit to try to change the dynamic of the race. The initial indications suggest that late deciding voters are breaking towards El-Sayed, which suggests that voters see the act for what it is.

Stevens' career is over but she's found a rich husband.

CJinPA said...

She seemed unable to answer a basic question.

We don't see the whole interview, but she comes across here as a stammering fool who didn't prepare one bit to explain herself.

Indefinitely Extended Excursion™️ said...

As noted above -- universal condemnation of the endorsement from Democratic officials and members of Congress. Key members of Stevens' house staff resigned after this announcement.

This is not a division within the Democratic Party. This is the decision by a political opportunist to torch her relationship with a political party that had supported her, after she lost a party primary.

It should be noted that Stevens, a Christian evangelical, was recruited by the Israel lobby back in 2022 to primary a Jewish-American Democratic House member simply because the member had been critical of the Netanyahu government and had defended a Palestinian-American colleague. Unfortunately for the lobby, Stevens is very typical of the kind of low-rent, highly unethical opportunists who are willing to work with the lobby these days.

Cooper's vagina is very dry today. Luckily there are pictures of strange penises on the internet to cheer him up.

As a Michigan voter, why would I want to elect a Hamas wanna-be supporter as my US senator?

Why would my progressive-liberal self think electing El-Sayed would be in my own best interest?

Why doe CNN's Cooper think El-Sayed will strive to protect his "gay father" household?

RideSpaceMountain said...

He believes they'll throw him off a tall building last.

** she comes across here as a stammering fool who didn't prepare one bit to explain herself.**

That’s what happens when democrats no longer have a script written for them by the Party. If it ain’t rehearsed it ain’t delivered.

They're not labeling her a 'maverick'? I'm shocked!

If what she did wasn't important, you wouldn't see the fury that we're seeing.

imTay said...

"hy would I want to elect a Hamas wanna-be supporter as my US senator?"

Leaving aside the factuality of your statement, why would you base your vote for a US Senator on what is "best" for Israel, in your opinion.

Dr Weevil said...

We'll find out in a day and a half whether Stevens jumped onto or off of a sinking ship, and whether El Sayed's last-minute contributors are going to feel smug or stupid. Some people are going to be very surprised, including a lot who claim to know which way the votes are trending.

bagoh20 said...

It's not even necessary to explain why she's not supporting him.

"This is not a division within the Democratic Party."

Sure. Half the country turned into communists overnight. It's far worse if Democrats are not divided.

William said...

Perhaps she is Israel first, but, to my mind, that is infinitely preferable to someone who is Hamas first. El Sayed is not just a clunker like Platner. Platner, leaving aside his occasional bouts of rapism and Nazi tattoos, had the deep tendon reflexes of an American. El Sayed, is personable and out going, but there's much about him that's occult and he's just not America first. It's surprising that just Stevens voices his misgivings. You would think that Cooper might have some reservations about the man.

imTay said...

"from our resident leftists and anti-semite trolls like Tim."

I guess that genocide supporters like yourself can only think in terms of genocide, and assume that I must believe that the solution to any disagreement is genocidal hatred, since you seem to. It's the only explanation I can think of. Every accusation is a confession.
