Here's an popular song from WW 1 and WW 2 from Irving berlin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O928hGPQ6yc&list=RDO928hGPQ6yc&start_radio=1
What a great song. And i loved it. And I wondered why. What does it speak to us? The love of social equality? The love that all that peacetime nonsense is over, and now we have a war?
It was written in 1918, and recycled for WW2. Amazing how all the "Smarties" know how to push our buttons and get us average joe-six-packs to go out and fight.
Attorney General Dana Nessel, who is Jewish and backed his primary opponent, has endorsed him. So has Al Franken. So has Mort Halperin, Mark Halperin’s dad.
Apparently Jewish voters are free to vote however they like—as long as they vote the “right” way. Funny how quickly “individual liberty” becomes a religious loyalty test.
And there’s an obvious irony: Jewish voters are perfectly capable of deciding for themselves whether a candidate’s positions are acceptable. Disagreeing with their choice is one thing; treating their religion as evidence that they should have voted differently is another.
Calling Jews ‘self-loathing’ because they support a Muslim candidate is quite a way for an attorney to argue that Jews are entitled to vote freely—provided they choose correctly.
Apparently, the Omani co-pilot asked the Indian pilot if he could leave his seat to go pray. The Indian pilot granted this permission, at which point the Omani co-pilot retrieved the rescue axe and proceeded to attack the pilot, in an attempt to crash the plane.
Isn't that a terrific metaphor for what's going on in the West, especially in cases where a Muslim politician promises his credentials as a moderate just before an election? The post-election playbook is crystal clear, even more clear than the playbook of those western politicians that pander to their Muslim constituents for their votes, until that magical 10% threshold is reached.
Funny how some become offended when the predictable future consequences of voting for your demise are highlighted as a reminder during the political season, especially when such a consistent track record of the same phenomenon that has already taken place, in other locations, is available. Why the protest, one wonders. It's not as if they're literally wishing for your eradication as an ethnic religious-based group. Oh - wait.
@ DB: The interesting contradiction is that your comment says Jews can vote however they want, then immediately explains why Jews who make a particular choice supposedly aren’t thinking properly. That isn’t really an argument about political freedom; it’s a loyalty test dressed up as concern.
I would distinguish between Jewish politicians like Emanuel and Nessel from rank and file Jewish voters. The Free Press had a story about the Detroit-area synagogue that had the terror attack. Virtually all liberal Democrats who'd never voted for a Republican in their lives (it's a Reform synagogue), but ot suggested 70% were going to vote for Rogers. You might wonder about that 30%, but that's still a big deal.
"Apparently, the Omani co-pilot asked the Indian pilot if he could leave his seat to go pray."
Even putting aside the attempted mass murder, WTF? 'Can I be relieved from *flying the plane* so I can go pray?' Your responsibility is to the 180 people (IIRC) onboard. Why must we put up with this shit?
If El-Sayed beats Rogers, perhaps we should ask what voters saw in the candidates rather than declaring Jewish voters “self-loathing.” Voters don’t surrender their political judgment to a religious identity card. They can disagree with El-Sayed on Israel, support him despite that, or simply decide other issues matter more. Calling that “self-loathing” doesn’t explain their vote it reveals Dave’s assumption about how Jews are supposed to vote.
Interesting paper from the NBER, 2 to 6 cents of each us supplied foreign aid dollar is deposited is someone’s cryptocurrency account, sounds like it’s well spent.
Crypto Capture of Foreign Aid Sumit Agarwal, Peiyi Jin, Eswar S. Prasad & Daniel Rabetti X LinkedIn Facebook Bluesky Threads Email Link WORKING PAPER 35655 DOI 10.3386/w35655 ISSUE DATE August 2026 The 2016 Panama Papers leak tightened regulatory enforcement around money laundering and offshore banking. We investigate whether the diversion of foreign aid in developing countries led to a shift to cryptocurrency as an alternative laundering platform. We develop a disbursement-timed forensic measure of cryptocurrency activity, combining on-chain Bitcoin transactions and wallet creation, off-chain exchange records, and IP-linked web traffic, and apply it to World Bank aid disbursements covering $238 billion across the 93 recipient countries in our estimation sample during 2018-2024. Exploiting the administrative timing of aid tranche arrivals, we find sharp, short-lived surges of crypto activity at the disbursement month, driven mainly by anonymous and newly created wallets on both tax-haven and mainstream exchanges. Blockchain forensics reveal patterns consistent with the placement, layering, and integration sequence of conventional money laundering. We estimate an implied leakage of 2 to 6 cents per aid dollar, which amounts to roughly 1.7 to 4.4 billion dollars of aid diversion across the tranche arrivals we study. Capture carries no funding penalty: the four sectors where we detect it, Transport, Water and Sanitation, Social Protection, and Governance, still absorb half of subsequent World Bank funding. Cryptocurrency facilitates aid diversion, but its transparent ledgers also leave forensic traces that may help detect and recover diverted funds.
Is another possible explanation that even/especially honest 3rd World officials use crypto as an alternative to their countries' unreliable banks and creaky access to the global wire system?
And/or the final aid recipients, classically unbanked, use crypto as their primary finance method? CC, JSM
Yeah, why??? I have seen some antics from women who were drunk and they were the aggressors. This is why you don't get yourself into these situations to begin with.....

I had to double-check it, but it is true. The Jewish Rahm Emanuel endorsed that Jew-hating Muslim who is running for Senate in MI.
Dem party discipline is stronger than the Mafia’s. And the omertà is too.

Rahm Emanuel also want Ds to talk ethics during campaign

IEE:
Yeah, Jews can vote however they want, but supporting Muslims like that MI guy is a death wish. I guess self-loathing Jews are a real thing.

IEE, your portentous navel gazing about what we should ask ourselves contingent on future outcomes really interested me.
“verisimilitude“. I’m watching “Vugonia” 2025
