"I knew nothing about any other candidates on the ballot except for me and the incumbent. That is all I have ever known about. I am not interested in tricking voters."
Said Mary Peltola, quoted in "Midterm Elections Live Updates: Peltola Says She Didn’t Know About Alaska Ballot Stacking Plan/As Republican anger grew over the plot, Mary Peltola, the Democratic candidate for Senate, said she had no knowledge of any effort aimed at 'tricking voters'" (NYT).
It sounds like she's engaging with us as a human being....

Hilarious- and appropriate- video to pair with Mary Peltola's claim. Her campaign worked on recruiting multiple Dan Sullivan's. But of course, she knew nothing of it. It never came up in a meeting or a discussion. Not a note about it. Not a check in to see how it's coming along or who the finalists were.
No oversight whatsoever on her own campaign. She knows nothing.
Truly Senate material.
Should have typed 'Dan Sullivans'. No apostrophe. I hate grammatical errors.
She set it all up. Another lying liar who lies on the corrupt left.
CBS news hack soviet democrats didn't want to report the story.
Oh you know- "it happens all the time"
The actors in the video look like bobbleheads. And great job on the actress pulling off an Alfred E. Newman impression.
Denise Powell is the Dem running for the House in Omaha. At a debate, she said that her opponent had been late paying his real estate taxes 40 times.
The facts are that two some companies he was a minority investor in were late. An obvious lie.
The Dems can't help themselves when it comes to lying.
"I did not have sex with that woman, Miss Lewinsky."
"You can keep your doctor."
“It sounds like she's engaging with us as a human being....”
Fakery all the way!
From yesterday, Bushman of the Kohlrabi said, "Saw the Alaska Dem candidate that recruited Decoy Dan on the news tonight. Boy, did she look panicked…"
Oft evil will shall evil mar.
Perhaps she's telling the truth, in which case, she's going to get hoisted by her own retards.
White progressive females in power who commit fraud. Are they above the law?
Dave; reminds me of the various adds claiming Paxton gave a deal to a child sex offender; when a) the perp was fully prosecuted with the trial ending in a hung jury, b) the plea deal came before a retrial, that likely would have had a similar result, and c) it was somebody in Paxton's office that made the deal and nobody has collaborated that Paxton himself ordered or made the deal.
It would be like getting pissed that a Mass DA or AG reached a plea deal with Lindsey Clancy, at this point after a hung jury; to assure she at least spent time in a mental health facility.
No. I'm not happy with the plea deal. However, I've been a juror on a sexual assault case for a minor. It was the defendant's second trial, and we had two holdouts that almost let him walk in a second hung trial. I understand that such cases are hard to prosecute and even harder on the victims to keep having to prove their case in court.
As for Democrats; how do you square the argument the ads are making and support for catch and release program and the hundreds of deaths by criminals out on multiple bonds before trial? The real shame is that Republicans aren't making that argument in ads (although I did get one flier).
Maybe, just maybe, the skullduggery is the attempt to make Peltola look as if she was engaging in skullduggery.
cultists will make up any BS in their minds to ignore outright obvious fraud.
From the NYT article, buried in one small paragraph amid the extensive reporting:
“𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘔𝘴. 𝘗𝘦𝘭𝘵𝘰𝘭𝘢 𝘳𝘢𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘳𝘦-𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘏𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘸𝘰 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘨𝘰, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘺 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘧𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱 𝘢 𝘋𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘵 — 𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘳𝘢𝘯 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘪𝘨𝘯 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘢 𝘕𝘦𝘸 𝘠𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘰𝘯 — 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘺 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘵.”
Seems like a rather relevant tidbit.
I don’t think Alaskans are particularly susceptible to this nonsense. It’s insulting to their intelligence for this blog post and the Republican Party to assume they’re too stupid to distinguish between two candidates named Sullivan and need Trump to protect them from their own inability to figure out a ballot.
Honestly, if voters can’t tell the difference between one guy and the candidate whose name is followed by “Republican Incumbent” on the ballot, I don’t know what to say.
I just read the CBS story, unbelievably bad.
This last paragraph, good Lord.
"These kind of shenanigans unfortunately happen quite a bit. This has happened on both sides of the aisle," Becker said. "This isn't unusual — it's unfortunate."
Hey! I want all the Jimmy Carters in Georgia. I want the Jim Carter, the James Carter, even the Jimbo Carter. But especially any Jimmy Carter you can find. This is a fucking big state. We are going to load the ballot with Carters. We are going to confuse the fuck out of the enemy. This is war, men. No, wait. I'm sorry. This is shenanigans! Happy shenanigans that happen all the time.
Bad Ronald Reagan: It's possible I don't need to do this. But the legal counsel at CBS has said that it happens all the time. And it's completely legal. So, for this presidential race, while it might be unfortunate, I want to stack the U.S. ballot with Jimmy Carters. Jim Carter, James Carter, and especially Jimmy Carter. I feel like six Carters ought to do it."
Al Haig: "Sir, you probably know that some of these election officials might want to mark one of the Jimmy Carters as Incumbent."
Ronald Reagan: "Sure, of course. And most people are familiar with that word. But some people might not be. And those are the ones we want to pick off. The unsuspecting and confused ones who are just trying to vote for Jimmy Carter. We want to fool those fuckers. Isn't that right, Mike Wallace?"
Mike Wallace: "Sir, these kind of shenanigans unfortunately happen quite a bit. This has happened on both sides of the aisle. This isn't unusual — it's unfortunate."
Ronald Reagan: "Thank you, quisling, for that wonderful legal advice. Let's fraud our way to the finish line!"
It's interesting that she appears to implicitly acknowledge that it was morally wrong to implement the 2 Sullivan plan. Now she needs to identify and punish the wrongdoers. They will happily confirm that this was done secretly because everyone understood that Peltola's ethics were beyond reproach and she would have stopped the plan.
Bizarro CBS news hears that Richard Nixon and his team are up to shenanigans in the 1972 election. And Bizarro CBS news decides, "Let's let this one slide. They all do it!"
I hope you are proud, Bari! Because your network has produced an epic shit piece of journalism here. In my humble opinion. They didn't want to do the story. And boy oh boy, did they hack this shit up.
It's unbelievable that these people still talk like the internet and phones don't exist. Their conglomerated media can't run interference for them anymore. We have the receipts.
Everyone is keeping them you fucking dirtbags, and if you keep playing the deny deny deny game we're going to make you watch yourself say what you said and do what you did right before marching you to a brick wall. We'll save the mainstream media for last, they get to watch.
At the end of the day, candidates are responsible for the tactics that they and/or their campaigns deploy. The buck stops at the candidate.
“I know nothink! I see nothink!”
So who is lying more, the Senate candidate who denies any and all involvement -- in the face of 12 fucking witnesses -- or the CBS hacks who dismiss this election fraud as shenanigans
"Maybe, just maybe, the skullduggery is the attempt to make Peltola look as if she was engaging in skullduggery."
The republicans did it to themselves?
You will swallow absolutely anything.
It's worse than a shenigan. It's a blunder. I would presume that by now everyone in Alaska knows that there's skulduggery afoot and that there are two Dan Sullivans on the ballot and that Peltola lacks skills in skulduggery and prevarication........The only thing I know about the second Dan Sullivan is that he has a sympathetic face and looks like a nice person. It would be kind of cool, if he uses this as a springboard into electoral politics and goes on to run against Ms Peltola in some future election.....In any event we expect a higher level of skulduggery and prevarication in our elected officials than Ms. Peltola is offering.
Why is the Senate Republican PAC spending money to boost a Democrat and a Green Party candidate in Alaska? This needs to be investigated. 😂

Funny, that’s exactly what I think about some of you loyal Trumpies. How many lies have you believed or excused that came out of Trump’s mouth? Two weeks, two weeks, two weeks, no more wars, Save the Steal, etc etc etc.
She's a Democrat politician + Her lips are moving = She's lying.
Engaging with people as a human being is important in politics.
If you can fake that, you've got it made.
In other fraud news:

"ILHAN OMAR MARRIED HER BROTHER And now the NEW YORK TIMES is actually reporting on a previous investigation during the Obama Administration where officials found evidence that she did, indeed, commit immigration fraud when she married her brother to get him status. From the Times:
Federal agents in Minnesota opened an investigation, according to several people familiar with the matter. They found evidence suggesting that Mr. Elmi and Ms. Omar were siblings, according to the six former and current officials familiar with the case. But, because prosecutors did not pursue the matter, the agents had limited investigative tools, the officials said.
Mr. Elmi had obtained a provisional two-year green card based on the marriage, two former officials said. But when he sought to make that status permanent, immigration officials requested additional evidence about the validity of the marriage. Instead of responding, Mr. Elmi left the United States and abandoned his green card petition, the officials said.
Apparently once he left the country the Obama administration just stopped the investigation, lest they make one of their rising stars look bad. Oh, and now her ex-”husband” is gay."
CBS news, you are Donald Segretti
I've been told that a news room made up of 99% Democrats can be completely fair and impartial in its election coverage. I wonder if that is true? You fucking hacks.
And Abdul never heard of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Shame on Alaska Democrats for recruiting candidates who will draw support from people who’d otherwise vote Republican. 🤣
Donald Segretti received a sentence of 6 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to federal election law violations and conspiracy tied to political sabotage ("dirty tricks") during the 1972 Nixon reelection campaign.
Trump should have taken it up with the Alaska Supreme Court back in June, when the issue was litigated and the court ruled. It apparently wasn’t a national emergency then. Why the sudden outrage now, just days before the election?
Dems also keep counting until they win.
Your lying eyes!
Bari Weiss never said she was a Republican. She's not so different from what the mainstream media was 50-60 years ago. They wouldn't have covered Watergate if a Democrat had done it.
“Funny, that’s exactly what I think about some of you loyal Trumpies. How many lies have you believed or excused that came out of Trump’s mouth? Two weeks, two weeks, two weeks, no more wars, Save the Steal, etc etc etc.”
Funny you lefties never mention the issue we elected him on.

Inga lobs her Hail Mary.
Trump will rally in Kansas and Iowa after initially canceling weekend trips before midterms ~ AP
Trump is now planning to rally in Kansas and Iowa after initially canceling the weekend trips ahead of the midterms. When they canceled yesterday, the explanation was that the rallies weren't necessary because both races were already in the bag.
Someone might want to get their talking points straight!
"He promised to take control of our borders. That’s the promise that was important to us. As the French can now tell you, everything else is secondary."
Absolutely.
Everything else is gravy.
In my opinion Mary Peltola is a bald faced liar.
Lefty scandal progression
1. It's a lie!
2. It might have happened, but who cares
3. Republican's pounce (we are here now)
4. Yeah, it happened and it's a good thing.

Reminds me of the time MAGA cunts omitted the fact that the original proposed plea deal was one day of "time served" (for a pedo!) and the judge rejected the deal as too lenient.
Earth to MAGAtards: it's not just that there was "a deal," it was that the deal was a pedo was supposed to get off scot fucking free until the judge intervened. MAGA has an honesty problem.
“One day. Seriously? Somebody has to sell me on the wisdom of it,” said Judge Roy Sparkman, according to a transcript of an April 16 hearing.

We were told America had a meritocracy problem. Now we get to see merit in action: Hegseth, Patel, Noem, RFK Jr., Witkoff, Jared. And a press secretary who lasted five days, At the top of the “merit pyramid” sits the President, whose closing argument before the midterms is a review of Jon Husted's ass, a new name for the Atlantic, and a spirited defense of the Cheesecake Factory. PCE inflation is at 3.6%. Clearly the bar was set by the DEI hires.

…and a hearty fuck you to everyone who gave at least a thimble full of credit to the notion bari was bringing journalism to CBS News. You are all Charlie Browns desperately swiping at the football Lucy duped you into kicking. Happy Thanksgiving but do better…
Who cares about wars that last 8 months when Trump claimed he won multiple times? You people will swallow just about anything, yummy Trump gravy with rubbery rancid giblets.
Bari Weiss never said she was a Republican.
No, she's not. But at the Free Press she's made great strides in finding journalists from both parties. So I had hopes that she might improve CBS news. But she can't be happy with this embarrassment.
I am a Magatard, so I looked up the actual facts in DD Driver's linked story.
"... and the young victim did not want to testify a second time.
“The child emphasized that he preferred to move on with his life and prioritize his mental and emotional health,” wrote the prosecutors, Brenda Cantu and Dorian Cotlar."
Despite being a 'tard, I understand that a half a loaf is better than none.
I assume the value of the "one day sentence" from the plea deal is that it would land the perp on the Texas "sex offender" list.
IMO, that is a valuable outcome that can help prevent the NEXT child from being sexually abused.
Bari Weiss is a pro-abortion, married lesbian.
Apparently, that is too much far-Right extremism to be countenanced by the "journalists" at CBS News.
The Sgt. Schultz defense, then- "I know nothing!"
Just the kind of person you want in the Senate- someone who has no idea what the people who work for her are doing. But then again, for Democrats, that's probably a plus.
2020 is over, Inag. Your crook won. Be happy.
As we catch leftists like this dem in Alaska - cheating - it just buttresses what we already know about the lying liars who lie Maddow BS NOW left.

This is a lame take. She blew up 60 Minutes and is making a sincere attempt to drag CBS away from socialist and feminist stupidity. I'm a subscriber to The Free Press and you, obviously, are not. So I have a better idea of how honest she is (very, in my opinion).
Thanks for the drive by commentary.
Reforming CBS will take a while. 99% Democrats, how many of them are sane Democrats?
For everyone saying "The Alaska Supreme Court investigated and ruled that the second Dan Sullivan's candidacy was a 'good faith effort'!":
Have you figured out yet that they did that because they were lied to? That Peltola or her lawyers swore under oath that they hadn't recruited him, but now we have proof that they did? That fake Dan Sullivan hasn't campaigned at all, he just sits at home with his name on the ballot, not even trying to convince anyone to vote for him by doing rallies? Does he even have a campaign website? That looks like proof of a 'bad faith' candidacy to me. Lawyers familiar with Alaska and Federal law could tell us exactly what laws were broken, but it looks to me like the laws were multiple, and the crimes felonies.
I assume the value of the "one day sentence" from the plea deal is that it would land the perp on the Texas "sex offender" list.
Of course you would assume that. LOL. You know what they say about "assuming" things. It makes an ass out of a backwards emu.
You would be wrong. The pedo did not have to register for he sex offender list.
Do you hear what a loser you sound like? Your "defense" of Paxton is that his office botched a child predator prosecution and to "fix it" they tried to let the perp walk with zero punishment and no entry on the sex offender registry.
Making America Great For Pedos!
The Onion headline, "Mary Peltola insists that scheme to put another Dan Sullivan on the ballot was the work of Mary F. Peltola.
D'oh!
Movie clip of the decade.
Has anyone looked into why the NYT's is sabotaging a Democrat Senate Candidate? This is very unusual, and I've read nothing that indicates Peltola is anything other than your standard liberal/left cookie-cutter democrat.
Maybe sullivan is a secret liberal - a McCain type - and the MSM wants to protect him.
What.....we have here....is implausible deniability
As many have said, especially recently with Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, that if the NYT is doing the sabotaging *it's probably much worse than what they're printing*.
"How do you know when a politician is lying?"
Come on, you know the answer....
So let's just have a look here. On one side, a raving, spittle flicking fool is ranting about a candidate's past court case with a light penalty for a pedo, for reasons he doesn't like, and on the other side, the candidate who approves of sterilizing your child before surgically mutilating him/her, without the parent's knowledge, with coaching provided by his/her school professionals.
Let's see.....which one is worse, now.... Tough, tough choice - for some. One subjectively-evaluated court case, or one whole extensively documented philosophy? hmmm.
HA! You are getting close but here is the secret: you don't have to be one "one side." You can be on the side of the children instead of your corrupt, grifting, shitfuck political party.
It's possible to oppose child genital mutilation AND ALSO want to see pedos (like the ones Trump is protecting) put in jail. You can want both things but only if you leave your blue or red cult.
Dave Begley said..."The Onion headline, "Mary Peltola insists that scheme to put another Dan Sullivan on the ballot was the work of Mary F. Peltola.”
THAT is funny!
But it's not possible to oppose kids being mutilated AND vote for James Talerico, who stands as a stalwart in defense of this and other perversions. Unless you're a spittle-flicking, unhinged, raving lunatic struggling to string words together while turning purple.
Dr. Weevil nails it at 11:11.
Here, from the BBC is Peltola's denial.
While it might seem implausible that she did not know who she was running against and she just might be lying, let the Beeb set you right -
"The Peltola campaign has denied those reports and Sullivan has denied any links to the campaign.
But those denials have not stopped the US Department of Justice and Republicans from attacking Peltola."
Believe all women, or else.
What I think is happening is this: The Republican Party has waited until a week before Election Day to raise the alarm and start the press cycle. The Media (D) cannot fail to report on a flurry of subpoenas and Grand Jury investigations, as well as involvement from the Governor of Alaska. The idea is to create so much publicity around this scandal so that everybody hears about it - before Election Day. This way, the voting populace will at least be primed to scrutinize the ballot perhaps a little more closely and be aware of what scams are being tried on by the phony (R) candidacy by the (D) candidate.
But it's not possible to oppose kids being mutilated AND vote for James Talerico, who stands as a stalwart in defense of this and other perversions.
Exactly. And, it's impossible to vote for ANY GOP member and expect pedos to be put in jail. The GOP is the party of kiddy-fuckers and the people who love and protect kiddy-fuckers.
If I want to sit at home and be a candidate, I'm gunna sit home and be a candidate. Don't tell me how to campaign. Buchanan didn't campaign at all; he sat on the front porch and won. He was probably watching The View every day just like I am. We Democrats know how the system works.
"That fake Dan Sullivan hasn't campaigned at all, he just sits at home with his name on the ballot, not even trying to convince anyone to vote for him by doing rallies?"
Seemed to work for Joe Biden. But then, when you have "the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics" on your side, anything's possible.
Go PAXTON.
I did that just to watch you turn purple again.
Peltola Says She Didn’t Know About Alaska Ballot Stacking Plan
Well, it's not she's gonna cop to it...
Precisely how gullible do you have to be to believe Peltola?
‘Attorney’ dr weevil speculates: 𝘏𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘧𝘪𝘨𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰? 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘗𝘦𝘭𝘵𝘰𝘭𝘢 𝘰𝘳 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘭𝘢𝘸𝘺𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘴𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘳𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘩𝘪𝘮, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘥𝘪𝘥?
What specific laws were broken? Can you identify the statutes and explain how the reported conduct satisfies the legal elements of those offenses?
As of now, nobody has been charged with a crime. The Justice Department is investigating, but an investigation, subpoenas and newspaper reporting are not findings of criminal wrongdoing.
More importantly, an Alaska elections attorney has said that even accepting the facts reported by the NYT as accurate, he doesn’t see a violation of Alaska election laws.
https://www.alaskasnewssource.com/2026/10/30/government-investigates-democrat-involvement-dan-j-sullivan-candidacy-does-collusion-break-law/
There’s a fundamental distinction here between political dirty tricks, questionable campaign tactics and criminal offenses. One may reasonably criticize the first two without automatically elevating them to the third. Let’s not confuse political outrage with evidence of a crime.
“I knew nothing about any other candidates on the ballot except me and the incumbent”.
Well, that is simply a ridiculous lie. Not knowing the full slate would be political malpractice. This is not her first campaign. Jeesh.
Also, once she saw the decoy Daniel J. Sullivan’s name on the board, did she not notice the similarity to the incumbent? Did she ask questions of her team, of DNC, of Schumer? Did she read about the issue in the local papers and not even then have a hint that something was rank about this? That she went along with it is all we need to know.
No, it sounds like she's a lying sack of shit.
“I knew nothing about any other candidates on the ballot except me and the incumbent”.
If that's true, then she and her team are utterly incompetent. They should be deeply researching all their opponents, if for no other reason than looking for ways to get those other candidates' supporters to rank Mary next.
So the answer here is that she's obviously guilty, or else so fucking incompetent that no sane person should vote for her.
In any case, don't vote for or support her if you're a worthwhile human being

"Or else"? I'm thinking of a three letter word that would work to replace those two words just fine.
She's lying.

*Maybe, just maybe, the skullduggery is the attempt to make Peltola look as if she was engaging in skullduggery.* - Inga
Yeah. The Republicans did this, and our good friends at the NYT exposed it just this week.
You know, that is quite possibly the stupidest thing you've ever written. And that's no small feat.
Lying turd IEE (3:01pm) pretends I've claimed to be an "attorney". I have never done any such thing. When I wrote "Lawyers familiar with Alaska and Federal law" I certainly was not implying that I'm a lawyer unfamiliar with those things, and I have mentioned my actual professional qualifications (Latin and Greek) many times on this site. I thought of writing "IANAL", but I find that acronym disturbing: it makes me think of an "I♥ANAL" bumper sticker.
Is it not the fact that the Alaska Supreme Court took testimony before ruling that Sullvan II's candidacy was "good faith"? How would lying to the Alaska Supreme Court not be a serious offense - whether felony or contempt of court? And how can a candidacy that doesn't include any campaigning possibly be in good faith? Finding one "election attorney" to say it's OK would be more impressive if anyone checked the attorney's party registration, and checked what the other election attorneys in the state say. Is he the only one that thinks that?
