That comparison is too convenient. The U.S. may be having a strong quarter, but a 5% GDPNow estimate isn’t evidence of a manufacturing boom. I hope that after Trump’s term, there will be a thorough, impartial investigation of those closest to the center of his administration—to identify anyone who broke the law, abused positions of trust, enriched themselves, or sought to obstruct accountability.
Many may have pardons. That should not stop the investigations. The public deserves to know what happened, who was responsible, and how it happened.

It’s a due process decision. CNN, MSNOW, and Politico had no time to dispute the ban. I guess all the times Trump called them Fake News wasn’t enough notice. It’ll be interesting to see if he provides notice now, and with what rationale. Can’t be for pure free speech, I.e. not liking what they report. It’d have to be some national security angle I would think.

The best thing to push for is the dismantling of the WHCA, which vigorously maintains a caste system for journalists. That should be illegal, as it distorts the market of news and opinions. It’s essentially antitrust.
