"This is a corrupt city. That's right. Have no fear, the anti-Zionist is here. You understand me?"

That was yesterday, in Madison. Last night:

the idea that a MAN of Color is not allowed to attack police scum without being KILLED FOR HIS BELIEFS (and actions) is RACISM!
ONLY people of Color are allow to talk!

Cory Ruiz, had a criminal record dating back to 2007, including multiple felonies for robbery with force, strangulation, resisting an officer causing substantial bodily harm, battery or threats to law enforcement, bail jumping, drug possession, and repeated misdemeanors for theft, resisting, disorderly conduct, and auto theft..

But NONE OF THAT MATTERS!
Black people MUST BE allowed to do WHAT EVER THEY WANT!
anything else is RACISM!!
There has NEVER BEEN a More RACIST city on earth than Madison!

gilbar said...

so, apparently;
2024 retail theft, resisting
2024 resisting, (charge of battery or threat to judge)
2021 Felony conviction Resist Officer - Substantial Bodily Harm
2021 Felony conviction Battery or Threat to Judge, Prosecutor or LEO

that's not much of his rap sheet; just the ones that are violence against police or judges

When all you have is a hammer, the world is full of nails.

When all you have is a screwdriver, the world is full of screws.

When all you have is 'racism,' the world is full of racists. As one who's heard unguarded talk over cube walls in various workplaces...there's an awful lot of inbred bubble thinking about an awful lot of topics.

Who'd have thought that the banal morality of network TV was more coherent and unifying than the self-selected and projective tribalism that replaced it?

1. The Dems have their next George Floyd. Expect Madison to burn. Governor better activate the National Guard today. But he won’t.

2. How did the Jews get involved?

3. Why was the public allowed into that news conference? Why did the Chief allow that guy to hijack that presser?

Dave Begley said...

Wasn’t that great Forward sculpture at the State Capitol building replaced? It will be destroyed this weekend.

The usual agitators from around the country are driving and flying to Madison right now.

Combine TDS, DSA, Zionism and George Floyd and expect big trouble on the Isthmus.

i'm done being snarky (for now), but have a serious question:
WHY wasn't Corey in PRISON?
how many times do you get to attack police in Wisc without jail?
Even More serious..
WHY wasn't Corey in an insane asylum?
Bring BACK asylums! Crazy People Need Shelter!

Reminder: about 30,000 people died from the post-Floyd hysteria, and about 5,000-10,000 died from the post-Michael Brown hysteria. More than half of the dead bodies were black bodies.

At the end of the first video there are some things said that make it sound like the black man who winds up talking from the microphone is from Chicago and not Madison. Given his grab bag of lefty talking points, anti-colonialism, anti-imperialism, anti-Zionism, he certainly seems more like a person who is enamored with the idea of protesting in general and not a person who was specifically concerned with this one particular incident and wanted answers. Something tells me that man already had that bullhorn of his prior to this incident because he likes to protest and be heard.

It is too bad that there was not a police officer on hand to stop a press conference from being taken over by a lunatic, anti-Semitic, socialist revolutionary . . . oh wait . . .

Is there a difference in any of those?

He was from Chicago and you can hear people from the audience telling him "we aren't like that up here," meaning grabbing the microphone and letting only one side speak. Probably he was a White Sox fan.

Mike (MJB Wolf) said...

Sad how democrats are so thirsty for martyrs and will use any old asshole criminal as their bloody shirt to wave. Very on/Brand for the blue island of Madison though.

I heard an interesting idea about how anti-Zionism became more prominent over the last ten years or so. While we here in America have been on the internet en masse since the early to mid 2000's this was not true globally. Over the last 10 years hundreds and hundreds of millions of new internet users from poorer, and more Muslim countries have become daily internet users. That is a lot of new potential views, and content creators have taken advantage of that by shifting their content to promote more anti-Zionist ideas. This can partially explain why certain views have become far more common on the Left, but also on the Right. A lot of Tucker Carlson views are from Muslim countries and he may be crafting his positions to appeal to a more global audience instead of just an American one.

Madison Burning

wildswan said...

The crowd in the march looks like a small crowd of young whites, probably DSA types. It isn't the kind of large, mixed crowd George Floyd got.
Madison doesn't need to import demonstrators so when I see imports I think to myself: "This attempt to hijack a black issue and turn it into an anti-zionism issue won't work." It maybe that this is a signal on how the DSA will do in US politics.

The Running of the Astroturf Dunderheads. Next: Occupy the Capitol.

wildswan said...

There's two reasons for the anti-zionism. First, the Dems, especially Biden, brought in large numbers of Muslims who feel free to despise us. They especially despise the Jews, but really they are contemptuous of everyone not a Muslim. Second, a whole generation has grown up since most American industry was sold to China. These young people can't get good or interesting jobs because of that sell-off. But no one talks about the sell off. Instead, the young people hear it's the Jews' fault and since no other explanation is given for their situation (which is unique in American history), they attack the Jews.
Trump is bringing back manufacturing but the judges and the Dems are doing all they can to block that effort. The Dems need despair to bring socialism to power. When in power they will settle down to stealing everything that is supposedly being redistributed and things will be worse and sadder than before. That's the arc of history with socialism.

Aggie said...

Isn't that properly called 'the Heckler's Veto'? What mistake was made? Was it a career felon, stabbing a cop while resisting arrest, who was then shot, or was it allowing a public news conference discussing the incident to be hijacked by an outsider seeking to use it to advance his own political agenda? Who showed courage, the stabbed cop making the arrest, or the police official relinquishing control in front of the cameras?

Good Luck Madison.

Madison: If you need plywood better head over to Home Depot ASAP. "Mostly Peaceful Protests" are in the forecast.

Aggie said...

So the convicted felon with the long rap sheet was carrying a knife? What kind of knife? Did the cop stand by politely while the felon removed the knife from his pocket and fumbled it open, to stab him? Or was it the kind of knife designed as a weapon, not a tool, designed to attack and injure? Funny, what doesn't get explored.

Aggie said...

The cop at the lecturn should have directed his removal, and when the histrionics started, should have pointed out: 'See? This is called resisting lawful authority, and this is what can get you shot.' Instead, he provided another example of how it's likely that disrespecting and being belligerent toward cops is allowed, condoned, and not challenged. More shootings to follow, guaranteed.

Over the years I've come to believe that Madison is a protest waiting for a reason. This will go on for weeks. Not sure where the 'antizionist' bit comes in, but we're apparently responsible for this, too.

Known Unknown said...

Police need to say "here is the transparency: Stab a cop, get shot." That's it.

Big Mike said...

It must seem strange to the lefty loonies of Madison that police are allowed to defend themselves with lethal force if attacked with lethal weapons. Almost like self defense is a thing, you know.

Once upon a time people understood that trying murder a cop was risking death, and succeeding guaranteed it. That’s worth going back to.

That Police Chief is a beta cuck. I'd be worried if I was the officer who shot Ruiz.

It was asked yesterday if Madison had any real men. Sure, plenty. They are fat, have short hair, wear flannel shirts, and drive Subaru Outbacks.

There is a huge problem with people you can't talk to. You can talk to them, but they don't hear you. Maybe because they are always yelling.

Was in Madison about a month ago and took a walk down State Street. So sad to see how lunatic leftists have converted a onetime jewel to a somewhat lifeless stretch with various vagrants and a sprinkling of empty storefronts. None of the vibrancy it had during my college years. On the bright side, if they riot again, there’s not nearly as much left for them to destroy.

hawkeyedjb said...

Another low-rent martyr for The Cause. People will end up marching, yelling, rioting in support of the dude with the 20-year long rap sheet who tried to kill a cop with a knife. They're pissed because they want the cop dead, not the lowlife. The Mob will perform outrage for this addled, useless, loathsome criminal because... well, because they can't seem to acquire a better caliber of martyr. Why not have one of the wrathful white women take a run at a police officer, and get yourself a more sympathetic fatality?

StoughtonSconnie said...

The “systemic” problem we face isn’t what these protesters and their leaders think. The systemic issue is refusing to treat the actual underlying cause of this person’s homelessness and criminal behavior, which is likely a mental illness that requires involuntary commitment. Without that, a person in the deceased’s situation will never, ever get the real help they need.

Meanwhile, the Mayor is largely absent, other than an anodyne statement.
