Madison is going to end up burning.

I am reminded of something Michelle Obama said back in 2008: "Barack Obama ... is going to demand that you shed your cynicism. That you put down your divisions. That you come out of your isolation, that you move out of your comfort zones. That you push yourselves to be better. And that you engage. Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual, uninvolved, uninformed." You can find that quote in "It’s All About Him," a William Kristol column in the NYT (gift link).

Dear liberal white Madison woman:
They don’t care that you just want to get to your house. They don’t care that you have two children. They resent that expensive red car that you own. They just want to protest and impose their opinions on you regardless of the pain on you.
And they also want Net Zero. They want electricity prices to triple. They want blackouts.
Been the knee and obey or we are coming over to your house to burn it down. We want all the power.
/s/
Antifa, BLM, DSM, Democrat party, Joe Stalin and National Socialist party
She’s wearing expensive and nice jewelry. Super rich! Are the diamonds conflict free or Blood Diamonds?
Oh, I don't know. Maybe put the car in gear and go for it. What's the downside?
The cult left need this stuff so they can rage and assert their commie power.
And, lady, if things continue as they are going, when your kids are your age and they are in power, expect political oppression against whites and wealth destruction. Look at South Africa today if you doubt me.
Teach your kids about South Africa.
The Democrat party white left built a permission structure to give blacks full range to behave badly.
You can defend yourself and others from the tort of false imprisonment. And I would bet at some point under WI law, false imprisonment becomes at least a misdemeanor. Which strengthens the case for the one who defends against it.
Of course, the Madison PTB would subject any defensive action to the Rittenhouse treatment. WI has no stand-your-ground statute, so they would force you to prove every point of your affirmative defense: you couldn't turn your car around, you would be committing another offense if you just abandoned your car in place, you were too far from both origin and destination to just get out and walk anyway, etc.
So most people with jobs and families are going to opt for a few minutes, or even a couple of hours, of losing their liberty.
Would be great to flood the courts with a couple dozen battery cases, but the mass of ordinary working people isn't organized. You'd have to rely on an instinct for defending the commons that has been taught out of us. CC, JSM
Yeah, but that's not what Obama wanted. He just wanted to eat his waffles in peace, help Israel and Big Business, and throw a few crumbs to his base. He was just George Bush with a tan and a wicked jump shot.
I know this is awful to say, but I don't care. Actually, there's a certain sense of gratification in seeing this incredibly liberal town, full of overeducated, preening, elitists get a taste of the consequences of their actions. Their police force is run by a bunch of sensitivity trained pussies too scared of being called racists to do anything, and that's exactly what the residents voted for. Let it burn.
I'm assuming that it's the protestors who have shut down the road, correct or incorrect?
Assuming yes, I am completely opposed to protests that shut down streets and prevent people from going about their daily lives. I DO find this lawless, and I don't respect positions that advocate this.
Yeah, she just wants to go to her house. That's nice. But the outside world intrudes.
I'd write her off as a dumb normie who doesnt follow the news - or doesnt care - and then is shocked and amazed when politics affects her life. Except, this is Madison, the state Capitol - so I doubt she's non-political.
BTW, I hate that stupid little red car she's drving, and she probably has a "I hate ICE, Elect Joe biden" sticker on it.
**The protesters are not just expressing themselves but demanding that other people stop living their lives freely and become one with the protest**
Yes. Like BLM and Occupy and the assassins who targeted Trump. Leftists are driven to violent change and there is always collateral damage to Leftist violence.
Honestly, did anyone in Madison give a rip when BLM/Antifa was literally burning and looting in the Summer of Love? Now, Im supposed to sympathize when a street protest shuts down one road?
Looking at that map reminds me of Seattle. That town is very easy to shut down. Squeezed in between Lake Washington and the Sound. You can shut down I-5 and couple other streets and block all the North-South traffic.
The obvious response to the last X post is that they do understand how important the street is and that is why that street was chosen. The AWFL voted for what she's getting. Even a worm can be trained to avoid pain.
There seems to be an assumption that we should know exactly what this protest/demonstration is all about.
Ask statue Hans
Well the Obama‘s sip champagne on the terrace of the mansion that sits on a lake, somewhere in Italy, and clink glasses with George Clooney, they would like you to burn it down on their behalf
"They resent that expensive red car that you own.... She’s wearing expensive and nice jewelry. Super rich!..."
I think you're joking. The car looks like a Fiat, and the sheer size and number of the "diamonds" suggests costume jewelry.
But it seems that there are people at the intersection making rough calls about who should get through. Who is coming to be part of the protest and who will interfere with it? It's an interesting process considering that the protest is about the police supposedly judging a person by the color of his skin.
My attention was drawn to all the e-bikes in the opening frames. The riders are dressed in dark clothing and aren’t wearing helmets. Same is common in my town. There are going to be heavy casualties from this. Those e-bikes move at car speed in town, and they’re very very difficult to see.
A glass of wine in her hand
I knew she would meet her connection
At her feet was a footloose man
No, you can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometime
You'll find
You get what you need
“The protesters are not just expressing themselves but demanding that other people stop living their lives freely and become one with the protest.”
And the amusing thing is that that’s exactly what this dozy bint wants to do. She says she just wants to get her car home so she can come back and join those assholes, and I believe her.
There are towns that have occasional protests. And then there are protests that harbor an occasional town. Madison appears to be one of the latter.
You get more of what you subsidize, less of what you tax.
Let's say you have an abusive husband and wife. The husband blocks the exit to a room and refuse to let his wife leave. Clearly he is initiating a physical confrontation even though there has been no physical contact. Obviously, the woman can physically force her way out and it would justified self-defense.
These protesters are also physically restraining people on the street using their bodies despite not being in contact with them. Why don't the same standards apply? All of sudden, this Madison woman is surrounded by five masked men on bikes who want to talk politics. It's hard not to feel for her and, I think, she would have been entitled to use of force to stop the "conversation." You don't want to see her use her car to plow through these bastards but if it happens, it happens.
If only there were some government institution that taxpayers pay for to keep order and enforce the laws. They could perhaps arrest people who block public roadways. Nah, Fuck The Police. Defund The Police. When "the People" get what they want, everything will be just peachy. That's why we vote for the people we do, here in Madison.
When and if the police show up, does she think the police should use...I don't know, force? to get the "protesters" out of the way so she can access the home that she pays taxes for? What if the "protesters" refuse to move? How does that work?
Where is Ma Deuce when you need her help most?
That’s a sweet little Fiat 500C, lady. Rock on!!!
Chris Christie in New Jersey was called a murderer for closing one lane of traffic on a busy road.
You say you wanna revolution, well, ya know
Just like what Mousey Tongue led
You left the mental institution
Now get that cheese out of your head
But if ya got dinner to cook
And you can’t be late
All I can tell you is “sister, you buy you a pair of skates”

'...The protesters are not just expressing themselves but demanding that other people stop living their lives freely and become one with the protest....'
I'm glad you said it, but isn't this really the hallmark of leftist Progressive political moves? How many of us have been harangued by the Pride marchers, by the Drag Queens, by the BLMers that it's not enough to allow them room on the political stage, we have to cheer them on as well, applaud their parade, admire their efforts. How many times is a small crowd amplified into 'thousands' by clever camera work and press coverage?
Engaging in such dishonest sophistry is polarizing: Some will acquiesce and go along with the nonsense. some will even put up signs in the front yard 'in this house...'. But the rest become resentful. We've already had this national discussion. It's now a stale tactic, and counter productive. The ideas behind it are corrupt and against society's best interests. Go Away.
All I can tell you is “sister, you buy you a pair of skates””
Hahaha. Or *au pair*…
Incendiary rhetoric from Michelle. But she and Barack just turned out to be more grifters -- grifters who didn't even pay their bills.
always remember!
freedom MEANS you are required to OBEY!
deversity MEANS you MUST comform!
democracy MEANS do what you are TOLD!
Your mayor needs to plan a junket to confer with other isthmuses (isthmi?).
for those that are counting..
it took twenty five minutes for rco to blame it all on The Jooze
My son, a PSU grad, would occasionally travel to attend their away football games. He said attending the PSU - Badger game was by far the world treatment he ever experienced. Cursed, hit with projectiles, the usual crap. The place hasn’t changed.
"It's an interesting process considering that the protest is about the police supposedly judging a person by the color of his skin."
But, Ruiz's arrest record says he was white.

I'm all for getting water cannons to deal with these punks.
“Do people understand …?” Oh my. If only they understood, they wouldn’t be assholes. /s These people are supposedly protesting the shooting of an habitual felon who was in the act of stabbing a cop. Especially in Madison (Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis…) they understand perfectly.
Just need a lot of bear spray and that will solve the problem.
What Madison needs right now is a good long heavy rainstorm.
If we all pitch in, we can buy an Island in the south pacific and live in peace and reason. Who's with me? The official language there will be Shut Up.
Whatever, they asked and vote for it, hope they get it good and hard.
@bagoh20: I'm in.
Again, I can only speculate about those inconvenienced, and if they have reflected on their past votes in any level of election or any yard sign activism with this current outcome.
Kind of thinking about what Mosby wrote….like all of us drive up to Madison (for the farmers market’), get blocked, start filing lawsuits.
To the leftist voters of Madison I say......."Sin in haste, repent at leisure"
Just ship all of these shitheads to China so they can have the government they want.
I know they want to be in charge of the maoist cabal that jails everyone and tells everyone what to do.
But tough shit.
The blond woman in the red car is the living embodiment of suicidal empathy. She voted for the politicians in charge. They control the police, who could, if ordered to do so, easily arrest and remove the protesters who are causing her inconvenience. She will keep voting the same way.
They're not protestors if they've interrupting traffic flow. They're rioters, insurrectionists, revolutionaries, or take your pick of other words. One of the first steps in any revolution- or any attempt to put down a revolution- is blockading streets and controlling movement. A tactic in existence ever since there were streets. Named after the Catholic league used barrels - barriques in French- and paving stones to hinder movement of royal troops in 1588.
The vast majority of that crowd of 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘴 are in reality 𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘪𝘥𝘪𝘰𝘵𝘴 with no clue of what they're actually doing or what they're trying to achieve. The organizers are hoping for a violent crackdown. Some of us on the sidelines would be happy to see a really violent crackdown.
I'm certain there are civil war reenactors with functional and legally owned private cannon who'd be happy to supply a whiff of grape to clear the streets for the police.
Arrest. Incarcerate. Charge. Deny bail due to risk to public safety. Let the process play out. Slowly. First "judge" who says, "NO" goes into lock-up for aiding and abetting.
If these assholes insist on interfering with people's lives, people should return the favor
Progressives 2026: "We're a big tent party."
Also Progressives 2026: "If you're not with us, you're against us."
"sweet little Fiat 500C"
It's the Jimothy of sedans.
Arrest the subhuman protest-oppresors. Including the judges who let this scumbag off for decades. List their names.
The police never let this guy go. They arrested, processed, and tried to get him locked up dozens of times. Corrupt judges and DAs cut him loose on the community. List all their names. Let them feel some fear. Don't forget his defence attorneys and legislators who let these garbage people loose on society.
There's no justice. There's just us.
A protest requires a permit. You cannot get a permit to illegally block traffic, even in Wisconsin.
With ongoing opportunities for racial incitement in Mississippi, Wisconsin and now Texas I'm concerned that the protest industry will be stretched to it's limit and Madison may not get it's fair share of "good and hard."
Plus there are too many White people involved in Mad City for things to get satisfyingly fiery.
All you had to see was the way the police chief acquisced to the POS shouting over and intimidating him at the "news conference" to understand how things work there.
The DSA and its minions do not intend and have never intended to seize power through elections. They will use revolutionary ways and means.
This is another post where our Leftist friends here slink away and hide in the weeds. Some of us notice.
I used to think Madison was a nice town.
"It's an interesting process considering that the protest is about the police supposedly judging a person by the color of his skin."
(D)emocrats: It's (D)ifferent when we (D)o it.
Just another day in lefty loony-land. As it happens, I live in one too but the looniness expresses itself differently here.
Madisonians love this. They vote for this.
Whose Streets? Our Streets.
This shit doesn’t happen where I live. The George Floyd Battakim tried it and got their asses kicked by civilians while the cops watched.
*You don't want to see her use her car to plow through these bastards....*
Actually, that's exactly what I want to see.
Start running over these assholes and this crap will stop post-haste.
Jim at: "Start running over these assholes and this crap will stop post-haste."
Didn't happen when that was done in Charlottesville. Apparently need a lot more drivers to sacrifice their freedom for the lefties to get the message. CC, JSM
Remember when there were police? That was pretty cool.
I sympathize with that woman, not because she's caught in a protest in the street, but because she's trying to identify with them. She's the reason militants can block key intersections unimpeded by police. She shares the blame with her sisters, creating the environment for such actions. Things will probably worsen, and she will support it. She’s a victim of the media.
Whole lotta privileged white chillens disrupting the lives of people who do, you know, actual work. Same as it ever was. Same as it ever was with every single socialist revolution.
In a proper nation, those protesters wouldn’t dare block traffic. If they did, they would be removed immediately, by police, water cannons, dogs, whatever it would take. If bullets we’re necessary, the rowdier would get shot, and the rest would scatter, learning a lesson in the process. As things stand, the only way to restore peace and order is through rivers of blood
Borderline kidnapping. Obstructing egress for sure. Obama created more division than Trump, by far, it's not even close. That was by design. Trump is just trying to make America better, Obama was intent on destruction. Imagine the outrage if Trump said, "if they bring a knife, you need to bring a gun". "You need to get in their face". The Lightbringer my ass. Obama was/is a full-fledged commie revolutionary. And Michelle can KMA.
Rco OK everyone acknowledges and I mean everyone acknowledges that you hate Jews. You seriously think that Obama supported Israel? He despised Israel. He despise America. He despised Western religion. I think you are a bad person, but I don’t think you’re stupid. Maybe we need to add stupid?
