"If we need to negotiate with bombs, we’ll negotiate with bombs. And we’re very good at it. Nobody better in the world."
Said Pete Hegseth, quoted in "Iran War Live Updates: U.S. Will Strike Iran Again Tonight, Hegseth Says/The secretary of defense, Pete Hegseth, said a new American attack would be launched on Wednesday night. Earlier, President Trump said more attacks were coming, a day after he predicted peace" (NYT).

It's about time. Trump was looking like he was taken for a fool.
Telegraphing the timing is odd, does that mean regime targets are not planned?
Well , yea. The bombs always come first before the peace. Trump just wasn't sure how many they needed.
Your order is out for delivery.
My guess is that there was a snag where the Navy and Air Force needed to make some last minute rearrangements before the all out assault. Just as it took Operation Meetinghouse (the firebombing of Tokyo) and two atomic bombs to bring Japan to its knees, it will take attacks of similar magnitude on the IRGC, the Quds, the Iranian police and. Iran’s key infrastructure (electricity, water, bridges tunnels, and petroleum plants) to force Iran to surrender.
Secretary of War
The NYT is a little behind the times.
What a fucking embarrassment. He couldn't possibly sound more impotent.
Keep it up, Yew Nork Times. You’ve got the IRGC thinking they’ve got it made.

LOL!
Is it da Jooooooosss that whispered it to him and turned him into a girl?
Make sure you stay all wee weed up Howard. Trump has to keep the masses entertained.
This has been the most boring war in history. If you guys weren't gargling Trump's balls nobody would know it is happening.
NPR's wartime correspondence is hilarious if you listen to it as if it were propaganda satire. It's not the 'War in Iran', it's the 'Iran War Started By Israel and the U.S.' This re-titling is used as a substitution in each instance.
Apparently the producer's memory does not extend to 1979, nor do they recall decades of 'Great Satan' and 'Death to America' jihad language, or the various intercepted plots over the years.
Stop with the big talk and the threats. Sign a peace deal and get the strait open. This disaster - done solely for Israel - needs to end.
NPR is such a fucking joke. when they're not pushing some story aimed at Soccer moms or 50 year old Wine-Box aunts, its about somebody being raciss, antisemtic, or homophobic.
Any every story that touches on Trump has to make sure he's wrong, stupid, or evil. And i mean every last one.

"I think the Iran war is very complete, pretty much," Mr. Trump told CBS News senior White House correspondent Weijia Jiang in a phone call.
Trump also said he would end the Russia/Ukraine war within 24 hours after being elected, so take this with a ton of salt.
So confused
Is Trump Muad-dib TRUTH SOCIAL-ER or Baron Harkonnen
Is Netanyahu Emperor Padishah or Atreides
Are IRGC Sardaukar or Fremen
Where is SPICE
peace through strength
peace is our profession (war is just a hobby)
global reach.. global power
"What a fucking embarrassment. He couldn't possibly sound more impotent."
I'm sure that's what the IRGC guys are saying right now hiding in their holes and pissing themselves. At least they have patriotic Americans to say it for them.
President Trump told me that Iran called him tonight. He told me that the Iranians asked them to stop bombing, and the president said to me, the bombing will stop shortly. ~ FOX News (Trey Yingst)
This is why he has to take monthly cognitive tests. He's getting worse. Iran did not call him and ask him to stop bombing. He is literally making stuff up, and Fox is buying and selling his fever dreams as the truth.
"Where is SPICE"

The oil price is the spice, but he who controls the spin controls the universe. The spin must flow, and Trump is a guild spinmaster 1st class.
Putin thought Ukraine would fold in a week. Trump thought Iran would fold in a week. Both of them were counting on the masses wanting regime change. Major miscalculation.
Here we are.
How about you just stop fucking "negotiating" and kill them all?
The Mad Mullahs will NEVER negotiate in good faith. There is nothing you can offer them that will get them willing to give up nukes.
Trump isn't going to get teh Nobel Peace Prize, and he isn't going to get a deal. Just stop fuckign around, and wipe out the gov't.
Airdrop AK-467s and ammo to neighborhoods in every city and town in Iran. When the gov't puts together troops to stop teh civilians, bomb the troops.
Have a massacre and get it over with.
Threats lose their meaning if not followed through on. We bombed Japan and Germany into submission. If that’s what we have to do here let’s get it over with. I hate to see it but we’re becoming a laughing stock.
Agree with Greg the Class Traitor.

It is unfortunate Trump has to do it this way.
I wish Trump supporters would have the patience for an actual war.
But it looks like Americans will not be able to fight a real war again. Hopefully we don't have to.
The "war" with Iran was over months ago. The reason it is possibly ending now is because Europe bent the knee last week and begged us to open the Strait.
But my feeling is that Trump is going to let the British Regime fall first. AfD and National Rally might take too long.
I agree that the closed strait has destabilized Europe and the UK, but prolonging the war is only helping the left stay in power there, because they don’t have free speech and only the propaganda critical of Trump. You can’t criticize obvious success, just as you can’t hide your people being murdered in the street.

This just isn't true and you know it.
Paris is burning as we speak. Police are being run out of their towns in many British cities. AfD is leading CDU by double digits. The German economy is in complete meltdown because of oil prices.
The problem is they have boiling the European frog for decades. They are well below Mississippi now. They didn't even really understand how far behind they were.
Strangely enough the World cup is opening eyes in Europe. The University stadiums particularly in the SEC states is opening eyes as to just how poor Europe is compared to the US.
I wish people had patience. Europe needs to be pried away from its current rulers. Oh well.
Trump seems to be doing a decent enough job of leading people along. His sense of timing here is pretty good.
In general, we have the support of those bordering on major threats to world peace and freedom - East European nations, Gulf states, Israel, Japan, the Phillipines. In general, the Dems lead a group which has only heard half the story for the last ten years and which is now descending into madness because, having heard only half the story for so long, they cannot comprehend opposition. They aren't skeptical. They think 60 Minutes wasn't biased. They are now supporting a Nazi thug, racist street murderers, jail for speech as in Britain, calls for murders of all American Jews and they do so because they think they must oppose the US, their own country. Madness.
We bombed Japan and Germany into submission.
Japan, yes. Germany, it took 5 million ground troops to make them submit.

The same statement can be accurately applied to the US by any other nations looking at America, and by anyone who has even a cursory familiarity with our history domestically and internationally.

No, he doesn't. I don't give a fuck about what he wants to get from the EU. Whatever he thinks he's going to get out of this, he's being too cute by half, at best. Win the war against Iran, and by that I mean "eliminate the Mad Mullahs."
Whatever he thinks he can accomplish with Iran blockading the Strait, he can accomplish more with the Mad Mullahs dead, and Iran run by people who know that when Trump says jump, their only possible response is "how high?"
Never, ever, ever, under any circumstances, make any threat you won't carry out. Trump is violating that, and it's turning him into a joke.

You are such a pathetic ass, Cookie.
US has had nukes for 80 years. We used them to end WWII, and that's it.
And do tell which treaty / deal Trump's agreed to and then violated. I'll wait.
TDS makes people pathetically stupid
Another week of attacks, after the mad mullahs sue for peace, would be useful to obtain a proper surrender. I suggested that at the beginning of the conflict. Looks like I was wrong by a few days. So far.
Aggie, above, notes the word games of NPR. This morning an NPR reporter kept calling the Gulf of America, formerly the Gulf of Mexico, just "the Gulf," and went so far as to use "Gulf of Campeche" to describe more exactly the body of water where a tropical depression is headed. Yes the Gulf of Campeche sits to the west of the Yucatan peninsula. But it also abuts not "the Gulf" but the Gulf of America. But never did the reporter use either the Gulfof Mexico or the Gulf of America. That would be Trump-associative/supportive, or some other NPR stylebook wrong.
I suggest Althouse take a look at NPR propagandistic word usage. Hilarity will ensue.
