"Um, if anybody knows me and Graham personally, you know that we got married in 2023. Um, we live in Sullivan. We’ve got two dogs and we love each other deeply. So it makes me really angry, um, disappointed, and I find it really shameful that there’s a group of media outlets and people who are willing to spread gossip instead of talking about real issues that Graham is running on—like healthcare and education and childcare. Um, I’m walking up and down my road right now and this is like my 20th take. This is very hard to do, but um, I just really wanted to make sure that everyone knows that Graham and I have a great marriage. Um, being married is hard. Being newly married is hard. Being newly married and going through infertility is hard. Being newly married, going through infertility, and a Senate campaign is hard. Um, I don’t even know if I have the right words to describe what we’ve been going through, but um, our marriage counselor helps. Uh, my personal counselor helps. Graham’s personal counselor helps. Um, and we work on our mental health every day. Um, no marriage is perfect and I—I don’t want a perfect marriage. I want my marriage and I want to be married to Graham. Sorry, blackflies. Um, I knew the man that I married is wonderful and dynamic and probably a genius. Um, I knew the man that I married had been through an immense amount of violent active combat and um, he’s been in therapy for years. I just—I admire the fuck out of him.Um, so when there are news articles about our marriage, it’s just extra shitty. Can I say that online? I hope I can. Um, it’s extra shitty because people in Maine want affordable gas. They want to be able to see their doctor when they’re sick. Um, they want to be able to send like their kids to a nice school, uh, a nice daycare facility, um, and raise families the way that they want to. So I think I’m feeling angry today. Um, and I don’t normally make public statements, but it’s really important for me to tell all of you out there—especially people who are voting in Maine—that I think it’s shameful behavior to spend time and energy and resources on negative ads and negative stories on Graham when all he’s trying to do is improve the lives of people who work for a living. Um, and that’s it. He doesn’t have any other agenda, which is what I think people are trying to dig up. Um, and this is a long video, so uh, I hope my editing team isn’t too frustrated with me. Um, I hope that everyone’s having a good Saturday. Graham and I really care about the state of Maine. We really love it. We were born and raised here and I think we deserve better. I think Mainers deserve better. And I don’t know what else to say. So if you’re editing this video, I’m really sorry. Thanks for watching."A message from my wife Amy: pic.twitter.com/dbDqjssevp

Be good little harem girls and vote for the philandering rapist communist with NAZI tattoos you dumb whores.
Her husband’s belief and/or interest in Nazism is most certainly an issue along with his weird sex interests.
This woman is a complete idiot on many levels; one of them being her belief that one Senator can do a thing about gasoline prices. Doesn’t anybody know anything about economics?
We have enough weird idiots in the Senate and America doesn’t need her husband.
I can’t choose either. She shouldn’t have done this. Mistake in judgment. Her marriage and personal life are not relevant to a political campaign. The now almost universal social media tendency to bare one’s soul online is probably not a good thing to do. Whether she thinks her husband is a good guy is irrelevant.
The childcare bit is a constant annoyance. I’ve played for services in so many churches. A very high percentage are operating grant funded daycare out of their basement. I’ve got grandkids. I don’t see some sort of shortage. I see an astonishing glut of daycare offerings from pre-school type settings, to women working out of their house, etc. I don’t know how the Dems keep selling finding daycare as a problem.
Um, I voted um for evil. Um
There is one sentence in that that is a sentence for the ages: "Um, I knew the man that I married is wonderful and dynamic and probably a genius."
If this were a movie and a character said that early on, she would not be a happy woman.
“ Platner also has an active account on Kik, a popular, private messaging app. Platner’s profile shows a mirror selfie of him shirtless with a towel wrapped around his waist. Many of his tattoos are clearly visible in the picture.
The Wall Street Journal verified the account on the app, a messaging platform that has been widely used for sexual encounters.”
And while they were married, he was sexting other women.
This guy is the perfect Dem candidate for Senate. He’ll fit right in!
You'd think a guy with Platner's political, uh, proclivities would have access to a nice insect-free bunker.
I don't know about all the weird editorial commentary on option two there, but I saw the video and it was kind of gross to try and use her as his shield.
Where is the box to check: "this was a stupid statement to make that is going to Streisand his problems."
At least they are contributing to the livelihood of three therapists.
If there were a movie and a character said that, what would the movie be about and what kind of person would she be: "Um, I knew the man that I married is wonderful and dynamic and probably a genius."
I asked Grok (and told it not to connect this to the actual quote that is in the news.
Grok:
"She saw the "genius" when others saw an arrogant or awkward young man. But she's no doormat—she's had quiet rebellions, periods of distance, and moments where she forced him to be present as a husband and father.... She carries the weight of having hitched her life to someone else's rocket. There are scenes where she's alone at dinner, raising the kids while he's in the lab at 3 a.m., or defending him to skeptical family members. By the time she says the line, she's made peace with it—she wouldn't trade the ride, even if parts of it were brutal."
Theme of the day: Women standing by their men
Women who sacrifice themselves, and who use hooks and suction cups to mirror whatever man they latch onto.
My follow-up question to Grok: What's up with women who define themselves through the belief that their husband is a genius? Isn't that what "Middlemarch" is about?
I haven't watched the video, but by reading the transcription I think I've got the gist. I can see why she, they, or Platner's campaign advisors thought something like this was necessary. I question, however, whether this particular manifestation is helpful: will (at least stereotypically reserved) Maine voters find it "kind of beautiful" or overly revealing and personal? Are the Democrats of Maine similar enough to the Democrats of, say, California to hear "We're each in individual therapy, and we're also in couples therapy together" as a sign of mental health?
My dad retired from the Air Force as a colonel. He always said that he wasn't general officer material - not political enough. A subtext I remain certain I can make out from that is that my mom was absolutely not cut out to be a general's wife, and would've been a detriment to him in that role. She has many strengths, but political acumen is not one of them.

It shouldn't be.
But you have to understand how democrats and their globalist oligarch masters look at people.
This woman is a tool to get her communist nazi husband with perverted sexual histories elected. That is all.
TBH this is one time where I could believe there was domestic violence involved as well.
He cheating 10000%!
She was used. She may not know it yet, but she will. After Platnik (sic) gets smoke in November, she will seek greener pastures.
I'll bite...
What happened between you and Cohen so soon after bearing his children that he was sent away? Did you love him? Why not let the man who sired your sons stick around to raise them...?
Nevermind dishing on Mrs. Platner's woes. You and begley are both in the second choiceclub.... share gossip about what you did wrong in your own marriages? Might therapy have helped your boys as well as your marriage? Not worth it?
Run a poll if we think you should have stayed with Richard and notcheated?
One of the weird assumptions people seem to routinely make about the revelation that a man in a relationship is a pervert is that the woman doesn’t know about it or is an unwilling victim. I’ve lived in places like Berkeley and Woodstock. This assumption is almost always false. The woman is usually a willing and eager participant.
So now, in addition to his Nazi tattoo and shameful comments about women, we learn that he is in counseling, separately his wife is in counseling, collectively they are in marriage counseling (after no more than three years of marriage), and he apparently has PTSD. Oh, and she doesn't actually deny that she flagged his sexually explicit texts to other women since they were married.
Is that the best the Dems can come up with?
I find it interesting Achilles believes all of the globalist memes slandering this populist candidate.
um
I feel really sorry for he. She's being manipulated, and she's a weak and troubled person. It takes a "special" kind of man to allow his wife to humiliate herself in order to support his own misguided political cause.
As they say in the South, "Well, bless her heart."
You'd think a guy with Platner's political, uh, proclivities would have access to a nice insect-free bunker.
No such thing as an insect-free place in Maine this time of year, the black flies are brutal.
So much for running on the issues...
You silly boomers.
So easily distracted.
You think America wins no matter the losing choices you make...
The world has changed boomers. Your daddies are not coming back to win the war and rescue you with neverending riches.
Your poor boys... they cant just pay somebody to clean up the messes you boomers keep making, wanting it all...
TBH this is one time where I could believe there was domestic violence involved as well.
Agreed, the whole thing (including the "20 takes" aspect) feels like a hostage video.
I got the theme for the day...
Attack the women.
Your tips will no doubt go up today.
Simp boys you and meade have cultivated.... ca ching indeed, you whore. Lol
Graham Platner’s extramarital liaisons are disqualifying ~ Pete Hegseth, Ken Paxton, Kristi Noem and Donald Trump
She’s very naive wrt to campaigns. Politics ain’t beanball, as they say.
Is that why he libeled chris kyle what a piece of vermin and oysternazi too
Well one thing good about it is that it confirms that if her genius husband doesn't get elected they could still make a great living being on the Jerry Springer Show and similar "tell all" shows on daytime TV.
Ho said: “I find it interesting Achilles believes all of the globalist memes slandering this populist candidate.”
Hard to hide a 20 year old tat, a breeding ground for memes.
Populist candidate? Who isn’t these days?
Some women are so insecure about their appeal that they will put up with almost everything that their mate does.
If he isn't a genius, he's at least a schmarty.
Gee, I forgot she said it took 20 takes to produce this gem. I’d love to see the out takes. I’ll bet there are some real beauties in those.
He could have removed it years ago, remember the black sun
I was about to say, "Come on, guys, 'hostage video'? 'Domestic abuse'?" And indeed I still think these are overstatements of the case: I think it's more likely that she is, on her own though maybe because of an outside suggestion, trying to support her husband's goals.
But I also remind myself that I regularly characterized my first husband as a "genius," to myself and to others - a troubled genius, which justified his arrogance and rudeness. (Certainly he thought of himself as one, and considered his genius to be dispositive in these matters.) That marriage lasted only two years, because even if he were a genius, he wasn't doing a damn thing with it, and you don't get to treat people like garbage AND not solve any great problems of humanity. He has, since, amounted to essentially nothing, which is not a judgment I make lightly about anyone.
I've come to think of myself, during those young years, as a) a foolish girl, and b) a victim of mental abuse (as his primary target for treating people like garbage). He didn't know what he was doing - he was a foolish boy at the same time - and I am responsible for tying myself to him even for such a short time, but his treatment of me was abusive. So. Maybe this woman is in the same boat.
Big gain for the Platner campaign if they can push the focus onto his marital issues.
Casual voters: Isn't there some sort of controversy about him?
Yeah, he cheated on his wife or something.
She blinked less than johnny depp in that australian hostage video
“Credibility is an issue in every trial.” Judge Lyle E. Strom.
“Character is an issue in every campaign.” David D. Begley.
Platner is an odd phenomenon. The Dems look at Trump and see that he is often vulgar and offensive. They don't see that he is on the 80% side of many 80/20 issues. So they figure they just have to put a vulgar and offensive man up there and the voters will return in droves. Maybe they are right, I understand droves is the term for migrating sheep. But more constructively, could they maybe change their stance on the issues? Nah.
Was that video shot using some kind of steady cam set up?
Her body is constantly moving side to side yet the camera and the background seem unusually steady opposite that movement.
Isn't she the first person to have spread the gossip? What is this baloney about? Sorry, lady, you picked that doozey.
Thank goodness we didn’t elect that horrible misogynist Mitt Romney. I never heard his wife say he was a genius but I could be wrong - I haven’t checked grok.
I suspect there is at least one other person filming and cue cards are being held up for her.
The young Americans will be focused on the important issues facing our nation in the years ahead. The silly boomer gals aging out will talk about his ink and whether he cheats. Their men at home bore them, silly little love music videos and all. The ladies say they are happy with their own commoners, but always focus their attentions on other people's men... it's like hormonally they never outgrow the girlie competitions for biggest dick and who can still ride, even toothpaste the sunset...
Saddle up, annie
How many failed marriages do all you losers have??? Lolol
She placed herself in the political arena. This won’t be the last of it.
Notice the Collins camp is adhering to the adage: When your opponent is self-immolating, let them burn.
This reminded me of Harvey Weinstein releasing a statement that we should put all these rumors about him raping women aside because it's preventing him from fighting the NRA.
In all honesty, I thought she buried him. A couple of times. I found myself wondering, at different points, if this wasn't the most perfect passive-aggressive performance I've ever seen.
Even more humiliating video is wife Amy sitting next to husband Graham Platner discussing their IVF treatment for infertility. As Platner silently sits there, Amy solemnly states the infertility is solely her fault—Graham’s sperm are A+ in every way.
“ ‘Graham has great sperm’ (laughing). ‘Can I say that on the internet?’ Amy adds Graham wryly wipes his eye.”
I spent the last two weeks in Maine. Judging from signs, from Platner booths, from tv ads, and from organized street demonstrations, it's Platnermania in rural Maine. Where's the money coming from???
Mainers used to be sensible.
The way you know this was workshopped is that she dropped an f bomb and didn't flinch but pauses at sh-- because she remembered the campaign adviser wanted her to say , "can I say that online" to sound spontaneous. I can't imagine anyone under the age of 80 worried about their language on the internet. It's so fake.
I don't think Platner is that odd. Based on my experience, his type isn't that unusual in the Marines. The problem here is that he's not well matched with the current vibe in the Dems. He's a Jesse Ventura type. People like him join because they want to test themselves, they want to see the elephant. It's a very common thing in Marines especially, almost exclusively in the modern era, to join to fight. It's there right under the surface but it's not something the jedi will teach you so to speak. I'm sure the whole totenkopf has a backstory, but one that's too complicated to explain to "normals" and definitely too complicated for modern media campaigns.
“Graham Platner’s extramarital liaisons are disqualifying ~ Pete Hegseth, Ken Paxton, Kristi Noem and Donald Trump”
Platner is running in a Democratic primary. The audience for this video is democratic voters.
In mid-july I'm going up to Maine for our annual visit to the down east gun range where we camp with people from all over the rural Northeast who like to make things by hand in the old ways.
As a side note, this event is the greatest thing for young people that I've ever seen put together.
In the evening, over the campfire, the men like to discuss politics. It'll be interesting to see what they have to say about the Democratic candidate for Senate.
Hi, hon. Your husband is a commie thug.
"Um, look, I'm stuck with this genius, but Maine isn't...not yet, anyways. Think about about it...long and hard...is all I'm sayin'"
One of the writers over at Powerline thinks that what is driving Platner's success with the Democratic base is his overt anti-semitism. I agree. The party has become overtly and proudly anti-semitic. And for the anti-semitic base, nothing else matters. And, at least as far as the anti US military BS (ex. the lie about Chris Kyle shooting civilians to up his kills) they probably see it as a plus. It fits right in with what the Democratic party base beliefs about the military while still giving them hope that his status as an ex-marine gives him patriotic cover for the undecided who don't follow close enough to know.
Middlemarch. Nice. Of course, now I'm trying to draw any connection at all from Casaubon to Platner and just cracking up.
None of the above. An AWFL who is protecting her Nazi loving, cheating mate, and probably blame Jews or Trump for his actions.
Way too much information. They’ve been married less than three years. I hope we don’t have to hear, over his potential six year term in the US Senate, about how their marriage therapy is progressing.
Jamie - there is a book by Vox Day, “Sigma Game: The Complete Socio-Sexual [male] Hierarchy” that describes your first husband fairly well. He sounds a lot like a Gamma in Day’s hierarchy. Constantly disappointed in life because no one recognizes his genius. And most disruptive in a male hierarchy because of his resentment. Most of us kinda fit in. He doesn’t.
Only interested in saving his political career. All of it would stop if he dropped out. Typical politicians wife.
Democrats are definitely anti-Semitic. I know Rand Paul libertarians who have taken up that ma toe as well.
Did you give up on birding already??
I used to be very active in local Republican politics. One of the things I saw behind the scenes was how difficult the role of political spouse could be, and often is. That’s true even when the candidate is female and the spouse has full-time job. Despite this, I have little or no sympathy for Amy Gertner. She is clearly ill-prepared to do this cheaply-shot video, and if she’s that uncomfortable about the role of candidate’s wife she should have tried harder to talk him out of the race.
And if Platner really has been sending sexting texts to staff and really does have a Kik account, and he’s nevertheless running for a major, national-level, political office, then he is not within light years of “genius.”
PS: Who else besides me picked up on her admission that Platner is undergoing two forms of therapy? With all the money pumped into Platner’s campaign they couldn’t afford a politics-savvy video editor?
I'm rooting for Platner. Collins needs to go. People don't understand that Collins has been sabotaging Trump for over 10 years now, and its getting old. She's basically a Democrat and uses her position to make sure we get nothing done in the Senate.
Of course, Stupid Maga/conservative types never understand that a RINO in the Senate can cause more damage than an actual Democrat. But i've learned these types cant think about politics in a sophisticated way, nor think long term. Get rid of Collins and you can run an acutaly MAGA type in 6 years.
8:12 Tim Maguire - indeed.
Anti-semitic = doesn't kiss Israel's ass or doesn't stay silent when Israel commits war crimes. People are getting to the point where if you're not called "Anti-semitic" by Israeli-first, you're a creep.
Whoops I didn't mean "creep" thats too harsh. I meant "Amoral, souless creep".
Tucker lives in Maine and supports Planter.
Those two seem made for each other. A precious thing, rarely seen inside or outside of politics.
She's a mess. He's a worse mess. They'd make a perfect DC couple. Just not in my lifetime, please.
Fetterman’s wife was a weirdo, but in a different way.
Some Nazi's are more equal than others.
Somebody actually wrote this on X:
David Klion
@DavidKlion
The messier Platner turns out to be, the more I hope he wins—not because I like or respect him more, but because Susan Collins, one of the most evil people in public life, deserves to be humiliated as much as possible.

“… he’s been in therapy for years. I just—I admire the fuck out of him.” There you have it. Catnip for Democrats.
Collins really is the worst. She's now chairman of the Appropriations committee. And she's always been a great friend of Mitch the Bitch. They think and act alike. She's also on the intelligence committee but that's become less important because Trump has wised up and "The deep state" cant pull another Comey on him.
RCOCEAN (10:16): “Whoops I didn't mean "creep" thats too harsh. [sic.] I meant "Amoral, souless creep". Sarcasm notwithstanding, RC is getting closer to understanding the nature of antisemitism.
I'm so in love with my wife that I frequently say "I just—I admire the fuck out of her."
Collins has never been a solid vote to confirm judges. She voted against ACB and also opposed Bove. She was part of the McCain "Gang of 8" which let the D's filibuster conservative judges and keep them off the bench. She's 100 percent open borders and Amnesty.
Hard to say which is more creepy, Platner's Totenkopf tattoo or the missus' message.
As usual, neither of your options come anywhere near my response. It wasn't beautiful, but I also don't think he made her do it. She wants to be a senator's wife. A lot!
Um, it’s extra shitty because people in Maine want affordable gas.
Then you need to stop pushing the climate change bullshit, and stop sabotaging oil pipelines and drilling. IOW, vote Republican
They want to be able to see their doctor when they’re sick.
So you're saying ObamaCare is a total failure. Got it. Again, vote Republican
Um, they want to be able to send like their kids to a nice school
So you want school vouchers? Again, vote Republican
a nice daycare facility,
If the amount the wife makes by working is less than what's needed to cover the expenses of her working, sounds like she shouldn't be working out side the home when you have kids of child care age
In any event, it's not MY job to pay for YOUR child care
raise families the way that they want to.
Well then, you definitely want to vote Republican, since we won't chemically castrate or surgically mutilate your kids, and we won't sick CPS on you if you refuse to do so, too.
Thank you, Amy, for telling everyone they should vote for Colins, not your husband

Is RC an idiot, or just full of shit?
Collins was the deciding vote to confirm Kvanaugh.
Do name the Republican judge where the judge lost because she voted against the judge. I'll wait
She voted against ACB because it was a free vote. Only a moron, or a Democrat, cares
I just told you why she was unreliable. She didn't vote for ACB, she was part of mccain's gang of eight, and she's voted against various Trump appeals court nominees.
How many times do you want me to write it? I can do it as many times as you want. But y'know you can lead a dumbo to the written page, but you cant make him think.
Mark Levin, is that you?

She didn't vote for ACB, who won anyway.
Someone who wasn't a moron would say "gee, I guess that vote didn't matter, now did it."
Sh makes performative votes "against Trump" to keep enough Dem voters voting for her, but votes the right way when it matters.
So, agin, name the GOP judge whose nomination she suck. Or, admit you're full of shit, again
Having her make the speech while baking cookies would have solved the bug problem.
IYKYK.
If you’re wondering why hubby Graham was not in the video, he was busy installing a porta- potty nearby.

Compared to Collins you are probably right I guess.
Collins shouldn’t be an issue. As soon as Burr and Thune and Murkowski are removed McConnells legion will be dead.
We are just in the cleanup phase right now. Only a few more traitors to Remove and all we will be left with are quislings and cowards. Those are manageable.
Um, I don't care if, um, you don't like your husband being called a cheating, Nazi jackass and, um, this is your best attempt to, um, distract from the fact he's, um, a cheating, Nazi jackass.
Janet Mills is out today reminding people she didn't withdraw, just stopped active campaigning.
I just don't get a feeling of a woman in love from that woman. I get a "dragging myself through dreary days which just got worse and it's the voters fault, It's the campaign staff, it's me - but it's not Graham's fault, Graham is a genius." Picture yourself, Mainers, trying to bow down like this woman to the Nazi-lover in his porta-potty.
Maine resident here. Flabbergasted Platner was best choice. Incidentally, Mills " suspended her campaign," however, she never officially removed her name from ballot.
Video hurts more than helps. They sent her out there to announce an additional laundry list of red flags re: his capacity for sound judgment. Someone who currently needs his, hers, and ours counseling to deal with being married, plus having the stress and schedule of treating infertility, whose closet is full of skeletons and fetishes, thinks, "Seeking elected office would be a good idea at this time in my life!" is not someone I want making big decisions that affect me.
Maine resident here. Flabbergasted Platner was best choice. Incidentally, Mills " suspended her campaign, " however , interestingly, she never officially removed her name from ballot.
RCO supports the Nazi over the RINO.
Did anyone not have that on their ticket?
Collins must be a damn Zionist Jew lover, eh RCO?
In other news, former Governor Janet Mills has had her nap, and wants to point out that she's still in the race, just in case, you know, people are wanting options.....
"...“People have the impression that I withdrew or dropped out, but I simply suspended active campaigning. I am still on the ballot.” ....."
pic.twitter.com/3cXyieoMp2
Yes, I wonder where people might have gotten 'the impression' that she dropped out. Looking at you, Legacy MSM.....
Sounds like he picked a bad time to run for Senator; new wife, infertility, PTSD, anger issues, new tattoo. But he does just want to help. If by help you mean cradle to grave big government help. What could go wrong?
Tonight I'm telling the FWB she needs to admire the fuck out of me. "The $50 admiration or the $100 admiration?"
