Vance "intervened"? Vance published a statement. He said something. (We talked about it here, yesterday.)

The London Times piece is by David Charter. Excerpt:
The vice-president feels ties with Britain personally — he announced himself to the world in his 2016 memoir Hillbilly Elegy by writing that “to understand me, you must understand that I am a Scots-Irish hillbilly at heart”....
Trump also feels a personal connection to the UK, directly through his Scottish mother but also ideologically through a romanticised view of Empire and Anglo-Saxon culture. Both of these are code for his core supporters of a time when both nations were more white and, in Britain’s case, more globally dominant.
The UK has become, for Trump and his senior officials, a warning to American voters of how a once powerful nation declined by pandering to liberalism. Individual incidents such as the murder of Nowak are used to bolster this narrative....

Edit: "Individual incidents such as the murder of Nowak are used to bolster this narrative" . . strike "are used to."
They left out "without evidence". That's basic gaslighting 101.
Perhaps Vance feels, like Brett Weinstein and his wife, that the West is worth saving.

JD Vance has aged five years in one year of office, without having lifted a finger to do anything. What’s his secret?
From a strictly psychological and unconscious point of view he seems to be quickly growing very tired of himself.
Both of these are code for his core supporters of a time when both nations were more white and, in Britain’s case, more globally dominant.
Reminds of that old "dog whistle" trope about racism. I always enjoyed the rejoinder to that one: if you can hear the dog whistle...
His "core supporters" probably think of the British Empire as often as they think of the Roman Empire. Which, I might add, actually has been near the forefront of my mind as I read Thucydides' history of the Pelopenesian war. That book is actually quite interesting. It really de-romanticizes both Athens and Sparta. Also the context with which he uses race. Very much a breath of fresh air even though the thing is something like 2500 years old.
JD didn't kneel down, like Starmer did for Saint George Floyd of Fentanyl
Remember when Starmer took a knee? Remember when UK's Labour Party sent people to the US to campaign for Harris?
Spare me concern now about intervening.

"...The alleged degeneration of London through mass immigration is an oft-repeated article of faith among leading figures in President Trump’s Maga (Make America Great Again) movement....."
The rumors of England's demise are greatly exaggerated, apparently. But I note they didn't adhere to the style guide of using 'without evidence', or 'debunked conspiracy theory'. Just 'alleged'. The jury is still out.
Nowak was killed by the police. The foreign invader was just an accomplice. Democrats are doing the same thing in the United States.
Just like the democrats killing Kirk and almost killing Trump we see examples every day where democrats and their foreign invader allies are killing the people native to our countries so that their globalist masters can get cheap slave labor.
Keep pushing democrats. We see you now. Starmer has recruited a foreign army to invade Britain and attack his political opponents just like democrats are trying to do in the United States.
"JD didn't kneel down, like Starmer did for Saint George Floyd"
Yeah, blow it out your ear, Starmer.
It’s not like JD Vance took a knee with a photo op to show his support for protestors, as well as make a statement.
In British usage, an 'intervention' can just mean intervening in the conversation. Making a speech in Parliament, for example. CC, JSM
"Both of these are code for his core supporters..." I feel so clever being part of these core supporters. We communicate in code - like secret agents.
Both of these are code for his core supporters of a time when both nations were more white and, in Britain’s case, more globally dominant.
Oh, please. What facile BS.
"Intervened" is the wrong word. It should have been "pounced."
People are just now realizing that the appropriate response to an accusation of racism is: So?
Keir Starmer has provided an invaluable service to Americans by disabusing us of the misapprehension that everyone with a posh Brit accent is smart.
Starmer is engaged with saving Britain from the words of the likes of Vance and Musk. Meanwhile, sticks and stones from elsewhere are destroying the country. It is so tempting to dismiss Starmer and his ilk and American Democrats as stupid. That is dangerous. They are evil.
The Times is garbage
He has twitter feeds with the bulwark not a serious person
“Incredibly the judge in the trial ruled the killer’s own recording of his murder, “too disturbing to be shown” in court. Digwa did not call for an ambulance after stabbing his victim but did take pictures and record Henry Nowak. However, the killer’s own video was NOT shown in court! The footage the court ruled too disturbing to show was five minutes of Vickrum Digwa filming the 18-year-old as he bled to death on the pavement”(CTH)

Starmer took a knee in support of George Floyd, so I don’t want to hear squat from him about politicians opining on the affairs of other countries.
Starmer is pushing a digital ID requirement to use cell phones.
Let that sink in while you watch him use foreign invaders to attack his political opponents.
Try being a Jew in Britain these days.
The only difference between labour and the national socialist workers party is about 5 years.
Herr Schtarmer doesn’t have enough sense to realize his ass is biscuit.
Yes but burnham or rayner arent any better
I suspect Eva Marie, that if they showed the video, everyone would hear exactly who was making racist remarks.
Politics operates in the same way whatever side you're on. The trick is to portray your own side as righteous and the other side as devious, conspiratorial and destructive. So George Floyd was used to "bolster a narrative." Now it's Nowak's turn. Sometimes the narratives are true. Sometimes the events are disturbing, even monstrous. Ignoring or dismissing that is part of the propagandist's job.
@Leland:
I hadn’t thought of that. It was probably less about protecting the jury and more about insulating the professional class the judge is part of from the kind of anger the full video might provoke.
They always protect their own - and criminalize any attempt by us to protect our own.
In what way is Vance "stir[ring] up division?" Who are the two sides that are being divided? Be explicit about what the two sides believe, and how do Vance's words act as a wedge between them?
"Stop being divisive."
"Okay, you got me. I'll be a unifier. I'll treat you exactly like I want to be treated. And you'll do likewise to me, right?"
"No, that's divisive!"
CC, JSM
ONLY CORRUPT LEFTISTS ARE ALLOWED TO SPEAK.
My hatred for Starmer is right up there with my hatred for maddow and Walz.
"Stir up division"
You fucking leftist assholes are addicted to division. so you can all go f yourselves.
I have vivid memories of UK politicians "intervening" on the subject of George Floyd.

Murderers are going to murder. That's expected. What the police did is worse because it was done under color of law.
Is it official law enforcement policy that White lives do not matter?
Since Starmer and the police chiefs will never kneel for Henry Nowak, will UK citizens do what needs to be done to demand justice?
Which is more likely, that Sikhs are required to disarm or that all citizens have the right to carry a similar knife?
Trick question. Neither will happen.
…starting in on the JD Vance is literally Hitler?

I find it amazing how ignorant so many are of the psychological dynamic of projection. Starmer here could be the face of the dictionary definition.
As distinguished from The Times, The Telegraph sees things Vance's way. That's the reason I subscribe to the latter and not to the former.
"Which is more likely, that Sikhs are required to disarm or that all citizens have the right to carry a similar knife?"
If a man can become a woman just by claiming it to be so, why can't British citizens who wish to carry knives claim to be sikhs?
Asking for a friend...
In what way is Vance "stir[ring] up division?"
By talking about things that certain people would desperately like to ignore.
