Intelligence assessments say that Iran retains most of its missile sites, launchers, and uranium. An alcoholic, woman-beating former Fox News host says that all of these were obliterated by kinetic lethality. For presidents busy designing ballrooms, it can be hard to know who to trust.

Argued my 8th Circuit case today. It’s a major civil rights case.

The panel was tough on both sides.

Coin flip. Could go either way.

The first case was out of ND. One lawyer was excellent.

I was sitting in the courtroom and snapped a picture. Later the Clerk told me that was not allowed. I had no idea! I deleted the picture.

Huh?

Lots or unanswered and currently unasked questions about that.

Who in the CIA?
Who ordered it? And what idiots thought it was a good idea to obey the order?
What authority was it ordered under?
And last- Did it actually happen?

That's a problem with breaking news- verifying veracity.

Watched a video of TMZ questioning Pratt over where he lives. Spencer Pratt’s response is great and consistent to his message. What I find interesting is that the Marxist (Pratt is a Democrat and he is running against Socialist) trying to make hay of his temporary living arrangements.
These are the same people who say illegal aliens should get to vote because they pay taxes. Homelessness is temporary because they can’t afford housing and just need free housing. Yet a citizen, who is homeless but isn’t being allowed to rebuild, shouldn’t be allowed to run for office? I know my argument is assuming basic moral principles from Marxist, who only have the principle of power, but why do Democrats allow these people in their party? Why defend Karen Bass simply because she calls herself a Democrat?

john mosby said...

Most likely explanation for the DNI 'raid':

Congress and Trump told the IC to save all the JFK and MK Ultra files.

Shortly thereafter, a bunch of people went into Gabbard's office and...saved all the JFK and MK Ultra files.

That's kind of what happens whenever there's a data call: Congressional, FOIA, lawsuit discovery, etc. All the relevant documents get consolidated in one place. Including the ones the boss has lying around her office.

Earnest pro-Trump sources saw this happen, concluded the worst, and contacted Luna.

Embarrassing right now. but does send a useful signal to any remaining deep staters that anything remotely resembling shenanigans will be immediately reported out of the building. CC, JSM

Had that Denver Airport suicide been about 1500ft further up the runway, the results could have been much worse. I understand they were at about 80kts, which is below V1 commit to takeoff, so they could stop. A single engine failure can be managed, but that impact also damaged the wing leading edge and the pilots saw what happened and were shaken up.

I also saw a law firm is already moving to cash in by suing the airport and officials for not securing the airport. I hope the lawsuit fails. The security meets federal guidelines. More would just increase the cost of airport operations and there flying, while likely not stopping someone determined to commit suicide. Maybe you think that will lead to a terrorist attack, but haven’t we’ve seen that more security is just theater in that regards?

I found the Sundance article (and comments) credible. What appears to have happened is that the CIA agents (unbeknownst to CIA Director Ratcliffe) waltzed into the office containing these records, and waltzed out with 40 boxes of them, during the govt shutdown, and refuses to return them. And without the documents, themselves, they can’t be declassified, as ordered by the DNI.

Before the inauguration, maybe before the election, Sundance had suggestions for who should be placed where, to get control over the Intelligence Community (IC). I think that Radcliffe was suggested for CIA and maybe Bongino as FBI DD. BUT, the key to cleaning up the IC is the DNI. I think that Tulsi Gabbord was a dark horse there, but has performed well. Being an attractive Democrat female has helped. Plus military intelligence training.

DNI is a uniquely powerful position in the Executive Branch of our govt. According to Sundance, absolutely key to reform. They have the unique power of being able to reach into any intelligence silo and getting what they want. Anyone else, besides the President and his DNI, can be frozen out through classification. The President and his DNI, can legally see anything and everything, regardless of its level of classification. Whenever you hear an attack on DNI Gabbord, realize that it is invariably coming from some IC agency, trying to take her out, or at a minimum, distract her. And this is why the FBI’s Counterintelligence Division and the DOJ’s Counterintelligence and Export Control Branch (both IC members) worked so quickly and brutally to take LTG Flynn out as Trump’s incoming DNI (who is the one person who could have stopped their Crossfire Hurricane and RussiaGate investigations cold).

Usual absurdities by this TDS addled propagandaest. Maybe we didn’t actually destroy all of the Iranian’s enriched uranium - but we did destroy their access to it. Uranium, being as hard and dense, as it is, is hard to actually destroy. But we know where it is, and are working to get access to it, so that we can, at a minimum de-enriched it, and hopefully remove it. That is one of our key requirements in our negotiations with the Iranians. We could do it without their cooperation, but that would require boots on the ground.

The idea that we haven’t taken out almost all of their missiles and missile launchers is absurd. Their use of them has followed a classic exponential extinction curve. Triple digits expended a day, early on, then double digits, then single digits, then very sporadic use. Moreover, their proxies demand more, and they can’t provide them. We now have loitering assets (A-10s, AH-64s, B-52s) in the vicinity, which hit their launch sites within minutes of launch. If they still had very many of them left, they would have been using them against shipping and our warships for control of the Strait of Hormuz. They mostly aren’t, and instead doing such things as using a flotilla of 6 or 7 small craft (sunk in minutes by one or two of the loitering AH-64 Apache gunships).

Judges were tough on both sides!

Judge Kobes, from SD, asked the most questions. When he was up for confirmation the ABA alkeged he was “not qualified.” LOL. The ABA claimed he wasn’t qualified because he is conservative. The ABA opinion was a political hit job and the “not qualified” comment was pretextual. Heck, he worked for the CIA. I’d say a well-rounded legal background.

For those of you too lazy to check this out, the Jefferson County School System (JCPS) has decided that school kids, on Overnight school trips, will sleep with those of the same alleged sex, and not the same biological sex. Biological boys, pretending to be girls, sleeping with girls, regardless of the wishes of their parents.

JeffCo is the county just west of Denver. It covers a bit of the front ranges, and that part is rural. But almost all of the population is in close in suburbs of Denver. We moved into JeffCo in 1955 (though my grandparents had a girls’s camp in the rural part of the county even earlier). I attended JCPS at least 1-12, and my 4 younger brothers K-12. Daughter would have too, except that she was in private schools. And, if they don’t move, so will my 20 month old granddaughter. Until maybe a decade ago, JeffCo was reliably country club Republican. Not anymore, of course, with mail in voting. Even with that, the JCPS school board has long been problematic, controlled by the JCPS teachers and their union, probably for 40-50 years now. I expect to be helping with tuition, to send my granddaughter, and hopefully sibling(s), to private school to avoid this sort of nonsense.

I was going by his interview with Joe Rogan, when he seemed to side-step the question. Maybe he said he was Republican in the interview, but it seemed clear to me that he considers himself a Democrat in the traditional sense, as does Rogan. My point is, I think similar to what Pratt is attempting in his campaign, questioning why these Marxists are allowed to represent the Democrat Party, when they don't represent Democrat/Liberal values.

Does that mean the market isn't overvalued. No. But the same person raising the alarm had done so three times now as the market was reaching new highs. Last time was just before it hit 50,000 prior to the war. And here we are, 60+ days into a war; yet the market is stable and strong.

The CIA said Russia was solid and strong right up to the moment it collapsed. Now it's saying Iran is strong. We know Iran has lost money, allies and its armed forces and is shooting and torturing its citizens. It may be "strong," i.e., able to pay 2-3 hundred thousand of its citizens to loot and shoot. I refuse to believe it is even as strong as present-day Russia.
