"Donald Trump will launch a 'revenge' attack" — why is "revenge" in quotes? The article doesn't have Trump or anybody else using that word.
They've replaced the comedian with a mentalist? What's the thinking there? Could a mentalist tell me? I don't blame Trump for walking out before the mentalist, but it seems like they picked a mentalist so Trump wouldn't leave, so he wouldn't need to withstand the horrors of comedy. In any case, he's sure to bring the comedy to his own speech.
By the way, according to the linked article, Trump says he loved that time in 2011 when President Obama made fun of him at the Correspondents' Dinner: "And you know, there is this theory that I was there while Barack Hussein Obama was speaking, and he was hitting me a little bit. Actually, it was very nice, and I was actually, I loved it. I really loved it."

I refuse to read any "news" that purports to tell me what will happen tomorrow.
So, the Washington Press Corps has gone mental. How surprising.
From what i can tell, "Mentalist" is just "Pyschic" or 'Mind-reader". And he's also a magician. Good God, its like the WH Press Corps dinnner has turned into the Iowa State Fair.
Just as I thought, this will be his first time as POTUS. I'd hoped he'd stay away and not give this Leftwing Clown show any publicity. But y'know Trump, he loves a battle.
Oh, and its a "Revenge" attack. Because any attack on the WH Press is illegitimate, I suppose. What about a "Defense of his adminstration" or a "rebuttal to the constant attacks on him".
It seems that the media already employs enough mind readers.
The Mentalist was a really good show. One of the few that sustained good quality throughout its entire run and had that balance of keeping to its story while not taking itself entirely too serious. The show Psyche nicely played off of that, making two fun shows out of the concept.
Trump should be the comedian. But they can’t afford him.
Why give these assclowns any attention at all? Ignore them.
…the ‘leak’ thing is a non event. Sounds like the targets hoping to blunt the blows or desperately hoping the dragon they can’t slay doesn’t show and spoil their fun. Trump’s never had an issue confronting these dooshbags. Why not have some fun?

Why attend and give the event more credibility? I had liked the fact that Trump broke tradition and stopped going.
Is there any doubt tuxedos and gowns will be replaced with Roman togas and brandished pugios and daggers so that everyone will sate their blood lust there on the ballroom floor?

I would have sprinted to this post based on the title, only to be let down harder than Lizzo's coffin. PDJT showing up with belt fed weapons would be the battle of the year.

When Trump didn't attend the WHCD they decided to have a lecturer, rather than a comedian. You know, the usual chat about threats to the freedom of the press, etc. Then COVID struck and I think they cancelled the event. It should have stayed cancelled. A mentalist is not a bad idea. It's a break with hoary traditions and the insincerity that pervades such events. Why not have acrobats or lion tamers next year?
The Press is totally dishonest and anti-America.
"Rage", "flee", have these people ever seen, or listened to, Trump? Ridiculous.
