The RFK bodyguards' job is to assure that, you know, RFK's body is guarded. Not his wife's.

And, of course, what the stupid and devious rantmaster Stewart didn't show was a couple second later in the video when one of those bodyguards turned around and literally lifted her off the stage and carried her out.

Stewart is such a talentless hack. Cheap shot after cheap shot. What a predictable bore. I like how he failed to mention that RFK Jr has already been around to witness a family assassination or two, and was in no position to wrestle off the multiple Secret Service agents hustling him out of the room. If his wife Cheryl has a problem with how that all went down, I'm sure they'll have plenty of time to discuss it later.

And are we supposed to believe Stewart's 63 year-old ass never saw an episode of Gunsmoke? A show that first ran on television until he was age thirteen, and then in reruns for fifty-plus more years? Sure, Jan... Quit trying to pretend your part of the kool kids, you dusty old fart.

An agent got shot. Everyone is lucky he survived.

I don’t think most of you are ready for what happens when you get shot at or shot. Ann is laughing at jokes and thinks people were too mean to Norah Odonnel. Meade is ostensibly the one that is going to be protecting you.

He was enjoying himself in exactly the way I imagined he would, given the circumstances. 'Too bad the gunman screwed up, I totally get it but hey, there's some great material here, amirite?'

There must be a veritable treasure trove of active shooter video out there. Maybe there could be spinoff. They could do a whole season of shows where a wise-cracking comedian does play-by-play commentary ridiculing people as they run for their lives while shots ring out. That would be so funny.

It's interesting how differently the media treats this active shooter as compared to any others. Because that's what he is , just another nut with a gun, craving attention, fame and fleeting power.
What's really the difference between him and any school shooter or mall shooter or whatever?
I suspect the difference is, they approve of his motive and his actions.

Black humor, also known as dark comedy or humour noir, is a style of comedy that makes light of subject matter that is generally considered taboo, serious, or painful, such as death, disease, war, or trauma. It is often used as a coping mechanism to process distressing situations, aiming to provoke both laughter and discomfort.

Here is a breakdown of the genre:
Key Characteristics
Morbid Subject Matter: Focuses on topics like hopelessness, suffering, and tragedy.
Coping Mechanism: Frequently used by professionals in high-stress fields (police, firefighters, doctors) to deal with horrific realities.
Absurdity & Irony: Highlights the pointless or ironic nature of existence.
Tone: Often cynical, sardonic, and skeptical

Based on reports from January 2026, some conservative figures and Republican politicians did not joke about, but rather heavily mocked and blamed Democrats following fatal shootings involving ICE agents in Minneapolis. Others, however, expressed concern as more details emerged.

Mockery and Blame: Following the January 7, 2026, fatal shooting of Renee Good by an ICE agent, Donald Trump and other Republicans mocked Democrats, blaming them for the "chaos" and claiming the victim was a "professional agitator". Specific Incidents of Mockery: Senator Mike Lee of Utah was criticized for social media posts mocking the situation and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, using phrases like "Nightmare on Wall Street".

Dark humor is usually most effective and mostly embraced by people when it is generalized situations that we all experience or are made up out of whole cloth not a specific incident designed to mock the behavior of people in a momentary period Of extreme chaos and uncertainty.

Doctor strangelove is probably the best example of dark humor used in a movie.

A very popular dark humor joke. It'd be something like a guy is on the six hole and he hits the ball into the trees he walks over to his ball hooks up at his partner and says oh my God. Last time I played this hole I hit the ball over to here. My wife of 40 years died of a heart attack. His friend says oh my God. That must have been so horrible for you. Yeah I ended up taking a six.

Yes, we totally get it. Because people like you actually really, really hate Miller with the heat of a thousand suns, but now you have to hate 'Junior even worse, because Miller - did I mention we hate him? - Miller's behavior was comically seen as better than 'Junior's, as he was being hustled off as the Primary for his personal detail. You know - after the shots were fired.

Yes, we totally get how your own bilious hate can be derived into a special humor, that you take enjoyment from. What did you call it? Black humor? Yes Inga, we know.

I think you should look up the definition of black humor. It's a comic device used for dramatic effect in story telling, for normal people. But this was a real assassination attempt, and decent people are able to understand the distinction.

Please use the comments forum to respond to the post. Don't fight with each other. Be substantive... or interesting... or funny. Comments should go up immediately... unless you're commenting on a post older than 4 days. Then you have to wait for us to moderate you through. It's also possible to get shunted into spam by the machine. We try to keep an eye on that and release the miscaught good stuff. We do delete some comments, but not for viewpoint... for bad faith.
