I'd never noticed this ban until now, mixed in with the news of the death of the man who got very rich building the platform and who died at the age of 43.
UPDATE: This post seems like a deliberate trick to lure readers into revealing their familiarity with OnlyFans! It was only after posting that I realized that Hollywood Reporter was bad at reporting the complete facts. Neither the new article nor the 2021 article revealed that the ban was never implemented. I suspect it's because of an assumption that its readers know what goes on at OnlyFans. I knew enough to write "I'd never noticed this ban until now." I never noticed what was not there to be noticed. Noted.

There's an article in the NYT about Leon Black. Black was a billionaire who made use of Epstein's services to arrange payments to his "yoga instructor". I didn't read the whole article, but apparently some of these girls were getting millions. Well, if you're a billionaire, what's few million here and there. And how better to spend your money and free time than by investing in yoga instruction.......Anyway, these Only Fans women could perhaps use it as a way to arrange for other arrangements. Exploited/exploiter is a dynamic relationship and the fulcrum point can shift according to the negotiations.

I think the point of OnlyFans wasn't so much the pornography as getting to see women naked who you encounter in the world or on social media. A typical route is TikTok to Instagram to OF links. As a man who enormously enjoys objectifying women, I have sometimes looked. For example, there was a girl from West Virginia who pronounced things in a cute accent. After about a year of seeing and enjoying those TikToks, I wondered if she had an Instagram. Yes, and there indeed was her OF link.
