"Dad, are you running for President?... You can't... I'm too young. You need to spend more time with us."

Gavin Newsom quotes his son:

"How do you deal with that one?" Newsom asks. "I'm asking you," he says to Dana Bash, who says "I'm not running." Then Newsom switches to inane verbiage: "That's the point. And the point is the point. And so what matters is what matters. Like, what matters is what matters."

That poor boy!

That video is from last month, but I'm looking at it now because it came up in this new NY Post article, "Huge wake-up call for Gavin Newsom and Kamala Harris as dire poll released."

Gavin's political function: Throw out F words and imitate Trump to help generate Party energy during late-stage TDS and to distract from the Biden/Harris/DEI fiasco.

The left doesn't believe 80% of what they say. Getting that 20% boost from nutty activists to "beat Trump" chewed up their "progressive" souls.

This is Nuisance's excuse to bow out.

I never knew who 'Griff' was before the 'Zippy the Pinhead' references, yesterday. But I think we should be applying this nickname with reckless, uncritical abandon, because it's almost perfect.

This photo makes me think Gavin is past it. He's only ever been a front for the Californians-in-charge. If the Californians-in-charge were Pat Sajak behind a curtain, Gavin would be the equivalent of Vanna White - and now he's losing his looks to late middle age. He's not going to get a pass on closer scrutiny any more, and he's too disordered to answer questions in a way that make him at least appear to be on the ball.

I wonder if that's the purpose of this 'learning disability' canard, maybe it's designed to alert journalists that they should be too embarrassed and ashamed to probe his intellectual shortfall.

Temujin said...

Must be weird for the man who was literally measuring windows in The White House for new curtains during Biden's term, to understand only 27% of those polled found him acceptable.

My question: Who are those 27% and do they even know what a Governor is, or if California is actually a state or just a state of mind?

Gavin Newsom's youngest child, a son, is just 10 years old at the end of February. Meaning he would be 13 yrs old just after the inauguration, if there is one in 2029. Just at that age when kids no longer want their parents around so much.

Barron Trump was 10 when his father entered the White House in 2017. Perhaps Gavin's wife is less capable than Melania?

Gavin was able to name three of his four kids before he cut to “you get the drift” and Dana offered to help him name the rest of his kids.

Did he forget or does he have a deal with his oldest child not to mention her name?

"How do you deal with that one?" - You don't run for President, that's how. Why is this difficult for him? Because like all national-level politicians, he's consumed with a desire for power and glamor. I don't understand why he would want to bring this to the foreground. Does he think it will make him look good when he inevitably announces his candidacy? "Look everyone, I rejected my child's plea for a closer relationship!"

That's at least two interviewers who've had to tell Newsom he's the candidate who must explain his stance after Newsom has tried to turn a question back on the interviewer.

"Dad, are you running for President?... You can't... I'm too young. You need to spend more time with us." Gavin Newsom quotes his son.

Newsom is setting-up his face-saving "Cat's in the Cradle" excuse if his potential candidacy continues to flounder.

My son turned ten just the other day
He said, "Thanks for the ball, dad, come on, let's play
Can you teach me to throw?" I said, "Not today
I got a lot to do" he said, "That's okay"
And he walked away but his smile never dimmed
Said, "I'm gonna be like him, yeah
You know, I'm gonna be like him"

And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon
Little boy blue and the man in the moon
"When you coming home, dad?" "I don't know when
We'll get together then, you know we'll have a good time then"

Democrats are still counting on gaming our system.

I suspect there are a few real democrats that are pissed off they might either have to sit this out, vote third party, or even vote Republican, because they know the Democratic Party is setting up the ballot to be Newsom. The thing is, whether they know it or not; there will still be a ballot of them voting for Newsom.
