"Working with the fantastic Governor of Louisiana, Jeff Landry, we are going to send a great hospital boat to Greenland to take care of the many people who are sick, and not being taken care of there."

"It’s on the way!!!"

Wrote Trump, quoted in "Greenland does not need US hospital boat to be sent by Trump, says Denmark/Prime minister and defence minister rebuff US president’s claim that Arctic islanders are 'not being taken care of'" (The Guardian).

The Guardian is apoplectic about first-order forcings of catastrophic anthropogenic [sociopolitical] climate change and human viability.

It seems to me that the Governor of Louisiana should be primarily concerned with the health care situation in Louisiana rather than Greenland, but maybe this ‘America First’ thing has nuances to it.

Of course, the irony of Trump’s post about the US needing to send a “hospital boat” to Greenland was that it only emphasized the point that we, in fact, do not have any hospital ships in service right now that are available, while Greenlanders have free universal health care.

Thank you to Greenland for providing emergency medical care to a US sailor on board the submarine, since we did not have adequate resources in the area to treat him. I’m sorry that Trump felt the need to cover up our shortcomings with a deranged ghost hospital ship post.

Everyone in the world has free Universal Health care.

Your posts is as stupid as usual.

Something tells me that "hospital boat" will be carrying Small Pox blankets. Hey, it worked last time!

There is that privately-funded Mercy Ship or something like that, advertised on Fox News. Maybe that's what's going to Greenland. They can update their ads with happy healed Eskimos and Nordics, to add to the happy healed Third World kids. CC, JSM

Kak is wrong again. US Naval Transport Service has 2 each with 1,000 beds.

Both still in service but undergoing g maintenance currently.

Is that the boat Trump sent to NYC to expand the number of hospital beds availalbe during the pandemic? And Cuomo did not avail himself of this resource because we can't give Trump a "win," now can we?

Denmark says it’s not needed? That's nice. What do Greenlanders say?

"Greenland does not need US hospital boat …”

How the Hell would that cow know? The only attention that Denmark has ever psid to Greenland’s medical issues was their attempt to sterilize Greenland women without their knowledge or consent.

John Henry writes: “Both still in service but undergoing g maintenance currently.”

The idiocy of you statement is apparent 🤡

Both are undergoing scheduled maintenance at Alabama Shipyard in Mobile:USNS Mercy has been there since July 2025 for an extended mid-term availability (including dry-docking), originally planned for about a year.

USNS Comfort arrived in late January 2026 for a shorter mid-term servicing period (around 102 days, expected to wrap up by late April 2026).

So … it would be factual to say — both are currently unavailable. Thanks for teeing that one up John Henry

Trump said about 15 hours ago that the “hospital boat” was “on the way” to Greenland.

Anyone have an update on that?

Where is it now?

I may be all alone on this, but I hope we can give the Greenlanders the help they need. It's the kind of thing that will M.A.G.A.. No wonder the left hates it.

Those folks up there were looking a little green around the gills. Hope this helps.

Greenland showed what real leadership looks like: competence, compassion, and action. Meanwhile, we got a fictional hospital ship to paper over real shortcomings.

Allies save lives. Egos stage photo ops. Our sailors deserve better than propaganda.

It's not an ambulance, it's a hospital.
If this is an emergency, dial 911.

LOL This deranged, pathological lying alternate reality Trumpers live in is why his polls are tanking as Republicans lose local elections everywhere. But as the incompetent Epstein-bestie paedo himself said, "We won with poorly educated, I love the poorly educated." When he's right, he's right.

Because 300lb grossly obese pig Trump definitely knows better what Greenland needs. Lol

Tariff Man and his chronically online incels are totally delusional

Doesn't Trump realize the U.S. military has excellent medical airlift capabilities?

" we got a fictional hospital ship"
Its not fictional. USNS Mercy exists.

buwaya said...

It was the sister ship USNS Comfort that was sent to New York in 2020.

buwaya said...

USNS Mercy is still under refit so I gather that it wont be departing for another 5-6 months.

So, Cuomo refused to send Covid patients to the US hospital ship in NYC harbor because he'd rather send them to old age homes where they infect and kill thousands of other people, than give Trump a win.

And Denmark officials would rather see Greenlanders die, than have the US help them.

This didn't work out well for Cuomo, and it won't work out well for Denmark
