Jeffrey Epstein was hired by billionaire Leslie Wexner (founder of L Brands, including Victoria’s Secret and The Limited) as his financial advisor. Epstein received power of attorney over Wexner’s finances (extremely unusual) and Wexner became the primary client of Epstein’s money-management firm. Epstein acquired a massive Manhattan townhouse (valued far higher than $3 million at the time) from Wexner in the mid-1990s for a nominal sum - essentially gifted.
This is so crazy unusual. They met in 1986. In 1987 Wexner gives Epstein power of attorney over his entire fortune.
Facts about Wexner:
1. He didn’t date.
2. When he married in 1993 at 55, it was to a woman 24 years younger - which isn’t so unusual in his income bracket.
3. In unsealed Epstein-related court documents Virginia Giuffre alleged she was trafficked to and had sex with Wexner multiple times (up to 10, per some reports) while she was underage. However, these allegations have been heavily disputed bu Giuffre’s own former attorney, Brad Edwards, who said he doubted the accuracy of those specific claims about Wexner.

Wexner was Epstein's first big score, his admission to the Big Leagues.
