The former president took four trips on Mr. Epstein’s private jet in 2002 and 2003 and appears in photographs in the files released by the Justice Department. But Mrs. Clinton did not. She has said that she “cannot recall ever speaking to Epstein,” and that she met Ghislaine Maxwell, his longtime associate, only a few times. During the period when Mr. Clinton was building the Clinton Global Initiative and interacting with Mr. Epstein and Ms. Maxwell, Mrs. Clinton “was busy being a U.S. senator,” said Ms. Doyle, who worked for her at the time. “She was not involved.”
I wonder if the members of Congress will be satisfied with the assertion that to be a member of Congress is to be too busy to get into mischief.

Comer of Kentucky, the Republican chairman of the Oversight Committee, has raised the issue of a nephew of Ms. Maxwell’s who worked for Mrs. Clinton during her 2008 presidential campaign and then at the State Department. But Mrs. Clinton’s lawyer has asserted that Mrs. Clinton never knew that the employee, Alexander Djerassi, was related to Ms. Maxwell.Mrs. Clinton’s name appears in over 700 files in the Epstein documents, almost all of which are simply news articles about her 2016 presidential campaign that were shared with Mr. Epstein. "Does not appear"? Does that mean that he did what was not easy and made it discreet and that's why there's no further appearance that there was a meeting? Interesting to see the name "Sarko," when the full name isn't in the article. I presume the full name is Nicolas Sarkozy. He was President of France, from 2007 to 2012. So, at the time of the inquiry with Colom, 2013, he was the former President. You may remember that he was convicted of a criminal conspiracy last year. The conspiracy related to campaign financing in 2007.
The NYT article tells us that Clinton adviser Philippe Reines says, "This isn’t about one Clinton defending the other. It’s about the Clintons being attacked as a unit and fighting back as a unit."

There was a time, within the living memory of many here, when reporters would look into scandals even when they involved Democrats. Iirc, the Whitewater thingy was initially reported on by the NYT. I guess those days are over........From the start, the Clintons were scandal prone, but, as time went by, the press went from reporting on their scandals to explaining away their scandals......Why do you read nothing about the Bushes or, say, Romney or Manchin in the Epstein files? It's so unfair for Hillary to have been criticized for her Alinskyite past and present, for her statements about the basket of deplorables, for her lies about the 2012 Benghazi attack, for her allowing her brother Tony to cash in on her name, for the corruption involved in the cattle futures scam, for the pay to play scam that was and is the Clinton Foundation, for her unjustified and then misrepresented firing of the White House travel office, for her incompetently designed Clinton health care plan of 1993, for her destruction of incriminating hard disks to avoid compliance with subpoenas, for her engineering of the fraudulent Steele dossier, for her inept decision to murder Ghadafi without a thought about the ensuing damage to US security, for her idiotic or corrupt involvement in transferring US uranium assets to Putin, and for a host of other dishonesties that had nothing to do with Bill Clinton, apart from the fact that it was his propulsion of this clever scheming pseudo-virtuous nitwit to power enabled all of these things.
