Well such women are so common as to be unremarkable, it's when men do it that it becomes fodder for the NYT, which tells you something right there. Most men limit their "looksmaxxing" to keeping trim and exercising to stay in shape, and you know, showering and getting the occasional hair cut, so this guy is newsworthy. He sure seems to have a low image of women though, which he will probably tell you is justified by his experience. Fortunately for guys like me, there are all different kinds of women attracted to all different kinds of men.

Although, if you go back even further, before the homo-ization of Western civilization, it was common for males to hold hands, to embrace, and to express their fervent love of each other in florid terms.
