"The 20 best things Trump did in 2025/The accomplishments of a stunning year can’t be captured in just 10 items."

Marc A. Thiessen itemizes the good, over at The Washington Post. That's a gift link, so you can see if you agree with the ranking and with the characterization of these things as good. You might want to read some of the comments, which can't believe what an awful idiot Thiessen is.

Owned by Jeff Bezos, a Trump syncophant, of course theyr'e lying, it the MAGA way. Look at Kash Patel, Bondi, Hegseth, Noem, big liars all, trying to cover their asses with lies no one believes. Well, at least no rational thinking American with a heartbeat. Ok, give me the libtard references, so what.

Damn! Comments don’t disappoint! If anything, they are geared up for a fully refreshed assault on sanity for 2026. Didn’t bother to jump to the 10 worst as those comments would probably send me to therapy.

I agree with all that, and it is an impressive 11 months, but without extensive election reform, it will all be for nothing, and the United States will be a non-democratic republic, as it was from 2020-2024.
Trump's greatest accomplishment has been the exposure of the real values of Democrats, some Republicans in the swamp, and the media: lawless, murderous, corrupt, for sale , and America last. It nearly cost him and us everything to find out.

bagoh20 said...

Victoria, you got anything beyond ad homonym. Should be easy with all those accomplishments to attack.

buwaya said...

Bezos is a practical fellow. He does what is best for Bezos. That does not make him a Trump sycophant, unless one is an anti-Trump fanatic wherein any laxity in anti-Trump fervor is sinful.

Vance said...

Victoria here is showing the same thing I've noticed elsewhere: the left is now openly just rejected any evidence that is not approved by the Democrat party. "Oh, the government says X which contradicts us? The government is lying!" They genuinely refuse to believe anything outside their bubble.

Coupled with the open embrace of weird conspiracy theories ("Trump staged the Butler assassination attempt and Da JOOOS shot Charlie Kirk or it was the Mormons and it is all good Kirk died!!!!! REEEEEEE")... the left is just rapidly headed towards a psychotic break. The Gods of the Copyright headings will always reign and reality cannot be denied, no matter how much leftists hate it.

Darn it. I'd love to read Thiessen's list and the comments. Those readers are so used to their cocoon, they are still being shocked by sights of the big world out there. Go ahead, test your wings, little ones. It's there for real.

My read on Bezos is that he figured the same as Andreesen, also a Democrat, that leftist mania (political and cultural) had gone way too far. Note that Bezos had cooperated with the Biden administration in 2021-22 in deplatforming right wing twitter-competitors from his Amazon cloud servers, the industry leader. He was most definitely anti-Trump at the time.

Thiessen also did a column of Trump's 10 worst things:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2025/12/31/donald-trump-2025-worst-list-marc-thiessen/

He lists them from a rightie perspective, but there is some overlap with things the left criticized: mishandling Epstein, shutting down VOA/RFE/etc, accepting the Qatari plane, making concessions to the ChiComs, etc. CC, JSM

I can give you a list of things Trump's failed on. First, lots of guilty Democrats and not a few GOPe types are still walking free instead of languishing in jail awaiting a fair trial on a wide variety of charges from treason to corruption, theft, drugs, etc. Second, China still has a navy that hasn't sunk and been blamed on the Norks. We still have way too many illegals here. And Trump hasn't managed to get the useless GOP Congress to impeach dozens of judges.

Plus he hasn't really cut government, though to be honest I never believed Trump to be that kind of guy. Trump's a 1990s era Democrat, not a hardcore conservative, so essentially this is just Bill Clinton, Part 3 that we have going on. It's telling how much the left hates the idea of a moderate Democrat running things instead of a Muslim communist.

Vance said...

Well. It may well be that, as Jeff Bezos sees the matter, right now the best thing for him is to be, or at least appear to be, a Trump sycophant. I presume that he bought WaPo precisely so that he could send that sort of signal.
I mean, what the Hell does Jeff Bezos want at this point, anyway? That he can't simply trade some money for?

Hag, we did not give Milei $20B. The US treasury did a currency swap, that is, we purchased Argentine pesos for American dollars, which helped stabilize the peso, which increased in value relative to the US$ and made money for the Treasury. Helped them, helped us.

Hey Grok, did the US Argentine currency swap benefit the US?

No, the Argentina-China currency swap agreement did not benefit the United States

While the swap indirectly helped Argentina meet some IMF repayments (a U.S.-backed institution), its primary effects—promoting yuan usage and enhancing China’s regional footprint—ran counter to U.S. goals of maintaining dollar hegemony and limiting Beijing’s influence in the Western Hemisphere. The U.S. response with its own financing underscores that the China-Argentina deal was seen as a strategic setback.
