It is a glorious new morning. All of the countries of the world were just informed that they need to become self sufficient and stop depending on the US.

They were told to become sovereign.

The WEF crowd doesn't like Sovereign countries because they set up he systems of dependency. Democrats/Globalist require dependent serfs that need them and that gives them control.

All you are seeing today is the whining and gnashing of teeth and a globalist parasite class that attached itself to American productivity as it is being detached.

Is Meade planning on going out tomorrow morning?

Sooooo… probably more for Meade since Althouse will likely stay bunked up but what kind of weather are ya’ll expecting up there this weekend? We are expecting about an inch of ice follow by a couple more of snow with lows in the in the single digits and windchills to -10*. In Dallas. Texas.

We don’t do well if a snowflake is spotted and ice is just not a good thing anywhere. Stay safe up there!

A preview of February. The winter equivalent of the dog Days of Summer. Fortunately it's a short month.

Unfortunately, I have an important appointment tomorrow morning. Would love to stay home, but it is not to be.

I was out today too. Just saving my pictures for the last post of the day. As the post titled says, I feel acclimated now. It didn't seem unpleasantly cold at all.

You can see me, walking on the lake, in Meade's other video, here.

I had a historical pattern of depression that landed in February.

Took me decades to figure out that pattern. That was the first time I identified a pattern in my life.

How long do I need to let my car warm up in order to prove Al Gore right?

The weather channel is saying Madtown will be -17 F tomorrow morning. Enjoy! We are in a warming trend and it will be down to 58 F here, PCBFL.

….A relatively balmy 24 degrees…celsius here today. Windy bit a break from the rain what caused some big floods…

You're more acclimated than me. 25 this morning didn't feel bad, but I have concerns for the -15 we're supposed to see this weekend. I haven't experienced that in 30 years.

Achilles: Lack of solar energy. Why do you think they the Vikings in Iceland drink cod liver oil by the gallons? You get the omega-3s you get the vitamin d and the vitamin A. I find that the best cod liver oil is the stuff that they pack the cod livers in.

Our first full winter after moving to Madison from SoCal was a bright, sunny, winter day at -20° on which the wife's van stopped working and I drove over to the hotel on the East side to try and figure it out. I tried everything I knew, one thing at a time, but could only be out in the weather for about ten minutes at a time before I had to get back in our other vehicle to thaw out. Turned out to be a a part in the camshaft that had sheared off, so we had it towed to a local shop. Glad I didn't have to stay out in the cold any longer than I did.

Do people in Wisconsin actually need a warning about severe cold weather when the temp is forecast to be 4 degrees above zero? Those cheeseheads are getting soft.

As someone who's never experienced real cold on a daily basis, I'd assume that 6 degrees isn't really that much worse than 20 degrees. Cold is cold, after a certain point. Just like rain with 40 degrees isn't really any worse than rain with 50 degrees. Its all bad.

Good thing about cold weather? No mosquitos

The warning refers to tomorrow. It will be -18 at sunrise tomorrow, not counting wind chill.

Well, -18 is pretty brisk, but even so, seems par for the course at this time of year up there.

Ah, no.

I just spent half the day preparing the snowblower and generator. I’m in Virginia and haven’t used them in eight years. Hope all goes well for everyone on the board here.

Glad you’re acclimated. I’m looking forward to some nice sunrise photos tomorrow.
