A consistent theme in the WPATH videos is that whatever gender clinicians tell the outside world, in their own internal discussions many freely and proudly proclaim that they conduct no assessments, either of mental health or even of gender identity, and base treatment considerations on an individual’s cosmetic “goals.”
AND:
The goal of treatment, Ashley wrote, should be achievement of “gender euphoria” and “creative transfiguration,” which means “see[ing] the body as a gendered art piece that can be made ours through transition-related interventions.”
This new paradigm means that clinicians no longer understand themselves to be treating a mental-health condition, even if they tell insurance companies for billing purposes that’s what they’re doing. And even if they tell parents of minors and the public at large that the medical interventions they propose are “lifesaving.”
Isn't that plainly insurance fraud? The author of the Free Press article links to another article of his: "Insurance Fraud Is Widespread in Transgender Medicine/Evidence of billing fraud is fueling a nationwide probe by the Trump administration" (City Journal).
If it's art, let the patient co-artist pay or seek art funding or acquire a patron. (And don't touch the children.)

I don't think it's about the money. There are other ways to make money as a doctor that are less fraught with controversy that insurance company is willingly pay for.

Between this post, and the previous one, I have seen some incredibly weird twisted stuff this morning.
Surgeons are frustrated artists. They pride themselves on their flawless technique and take it for a sign of genius and vision. A technically perfect procedure justifies itself whatever the science or thinking behind it.
What you don’t understand Howard, is if wasn’t funded, they wouldn’t be able to do it regardless of how ghoulish.
TO THE GALLOWS with these demons.

Note that before Obamacare many (most?) health insurance did not cover sex-change surgery. Mine certainly did not. After Obamacare, all health insurance was required by law to cover it. So why is anyone surprised at the transgenderism fad? It's always been about the money.
