Is it the beans?!

Yesterday, I fell into #beantok:

@marlenecocoabean I think it’s the beans! #beantok #beans #drivinganxiety #genx ♬ original sound - Marlene CocoaBean

Is it the beans, she asked? Who ever smelt it, dealt it.

Incredible to me that people video themselves talking about nothing and are rewarded with views. But eating beans? And never once mentioning the single most notorious effect of eating beans? Really? I fondly recall "Blazing Saddles" portrayal of such gustatory indulgence. Now that was funny!

"And never once mentioning the single most notorious effect of eating beans?"

I gave you the hashtag. Plenty of #beantok addresses that issue, which is too boring to blog about, being the first thing everyone says about beans. It belongs in a modern "Dictionary of Received Ideas."

Beans have been found on some asteroids.

Nontheless, I'd rather scroll past lame fart jokes than another Inga/Achilles cage match.

Fava beans complemented with a nice Chianti.

Pythagoras "Keep your hands off your beans" is thought to be against masturbation.

Plenty of #beantok

I saw Hoobastank at beantok. I wouldn’t give it the beans, though.

I would be a homeless man if I did beantok to my wife.

Well, at least she provides a trigger warning that #4 'might be a little bit out there'. As opposed to the other 3 perfectly logical, normal observations.

And I want to hear from Jack, and the #beantok.

Jack, magic beans, not Fava, a green beanstalk, not Green, and a goose that laid golden eggs... served with a nice Chianti.

Beans, beans, the musical fruit
The more you eat, the more you toot
The more you toot, the better you feel
Beans, beans for every meal

My college roomie, in a fit of extreme financial limitations, tried to subsist for a week on a large pot of pinto beans he made Sunday afternoon. His 7th day I took him out for a real meal, as the fuzz growing on the beans in that pot after a week - even though kept in the fridge - looked potentially sentient and absolutely malevolent.

Law clerk story. Female partner says her husband is trying a big criminal case in federal court and says he needs to get some sleep. So, he wants to have sex.

Wife, "I might as well hit you in the head with a brick!"

I just made beans yesterday, overnight soak method, crockpot, and it’s hard to not come up with something delicious, made a pot of rice, yum. Not sure I could watch videos about it though. But frying onions and garlic in the fat from a ham steak makes the kitchen smell so good

I have to admit that driving over the Buffalo Skyway can be daunting. My sister is scared to death of that bridge but resorts to the good old, tried and true method of calming herself: Xanax.

Kevin's future at the Bean Institute (https://beaninstitute.com/) was assured when he launched the "Beantok Initiative" by making 2000 AI videos of people talking about the magical powers of beans. His slogan? "You don't know beans."

I was reading the "Stall Tribune" on the wall in the public bathroom at Natural Grocers. (old / gotta pee) anyway -
They showcase a vitamin or an herb & list of all the qualities.
I had to laugh because it's always the same.

Want to experience mental clarity?
Better mood?
Increased energy?
Better steep?
Stronger muscles?
Clean liver?
...
Take this wonder herb. (fill in the blank)

"sleep" / not steep

I like beans, especially in chili, where I put both kidney and black beans. I was going to my son's for the Bears game on Black Friday, and he was making chili, but he hates beans so none in his result.

As far as going over scary bridges, try the Mackinac Bridge in high wind. Add the steel grate roadbed, major pucker factor.
