Said Marjorie Taylor Greene, quoted in "'I Was Just So Naïve’: Inside Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Break With Trump/How the Georgia congresswoman went from the president’s loudest cheerleader to his loudest Republican critic" (NYT).
This is a very long article, by Robert Draper. Let me just pull out 3 more things:
1. "One autumn evening in 2022, I ventured to ask just how she thought the 2020 election was stolen. Did she really think that a grand conspiracy, perhaps masterminded by the Obamas and the C.I.A., had secretly rigged the results? 'Robert,' she replied with a searching look, 'do you really think Joe Biden got 81 million votes without even campaigning?' 'Yes,' I said. 'They counted all the votes. That was the final tally. Why wouldn’t I believe it?' The look she then gave me, which I will never forget, was one of bottomless pity."
2. "Greene’s congressional staff had long been accustomed to her I-will-not-be-ignored tactics, a playbook they jokingly referred to as 'bitch, bully and bulldoze.'... According to a person with knowledge of the matter, Greene’s missives could come off as pushy, unconstructive and at times disrespectful...."
3. "This September, Greene spoke with several of Epstein’s victims for the first time in a closed-door House Oversight Committee meeting.... Their accounts struck her as entirely believable.... After the hearing, Greene held a news conference at which she threatened to identify some of the men who had abused the women..... Trump called Greene to voice his displeasure... everyone in the suite of rooms could hear him yelling at her.... When she urged Trump to invite some of Epstein’s female victims to the Oval Office, she says, he angrily informed her that they had done nothing to merit the honor. It would be the last conversation Greene and Trump would ever have...."

Hey Congesswoman, why the long face?
Trump is right that the D's are using Epstein to attack him. But he's been playing it all wrong. Refusing to release the files and not meeting with the victims was a bad move. It lost him support and gained nothing. He should have taken the "L" and done what MTG suggested.
I suspect that some of his Big Donors, like Addelson, don't want the Epstein files released. And some of his Margo Friends might be made to look bad. He personally is not at risk.
So after making fun and attacking MTG for 5 years, suddenly the NYT's wants to hear her side of things. LOL. Strange new respect.
"I’ve always been uncomfortable with how those women puff up their lips and enlarge their breasts."
Any idea which women she is talking about? MAGA Mar-a Lago leadership?
Man, the weird way the MSM constantly asserts there's no evidence the 2020 wasn't stolen and acts like its "C-c-ccrazzy" to say otherwise is incredible. Its not a stone cold fact. All the evidence was either ignored or lied about. No audit of the votes was ever undertaken. From Day 1 after the election, the Trump hating establishment just started chanting "The election was fair and honest - no audit of the votes".
Which means it really wasnt.
When does Trump go after Bill Cassidy? He voted to impeach Trump.
its robert draper, he will savage anyone, most recently Charlie Kirk
I suspect you will never hear taunts about Jewish space lasers or about MTG's "bleach blonde, bad-built, butch body" ever again from the left.
There are lots of really crazy people in the world, Georgia has a fair share.
"Cheerleader" is sexist, and it fits Tim Walz far better.
Of all the GOP females to talk about phonies, the $24 Million Dollar Woman should be the last.
We’re up to three battleground stares where, with evidence, it was concluded votes that should not have been counted were counted…and why so many voted that year? 2020. What was unusual about it?
…five years later they are still demanding universal acceptance of the dupe. Just go away and enjoy it…
MTG showing why some supposed fans can't be trusted with responsibility, and why even the do-nothing Congress didn't trust her. I really thought she'd have more staying power, but she doesn't even have the resilience of Sarah Palin.
she did some good, and now shes throwing it all away,
I doubt there will be an election in my children’s lifetime fairly won by the Democrat without a temper tantrum by republicans crying fraud. Cause who wouldn’t love a charmer like Trump.
I wonder how many people did not like MTG before and still dislike her the same amount. I am in that group. FO MTG. Find kak and circle jerk.
Last I heard the left said this woman was a kook, now we’re supposed to accept the left’s narrative she’s an all knowing truth teller…
When a woman in California calls a voter in Arizona or Georgia or Wisconsin and says hey my team noticed you didn’t send in your ballot- can I send it in for you? then sends it in because the person on the other end says fuck off, is that a vote? Our experts say absolutely because nobody’s checking…
yeah 2000, 2004 and 2016, pull my other finger,
then they put their secretaries of state in ahia and other key states, for the 2008 election,
end italics
Italics Off.
I think she has a point about the fake women in the close orbits around this Administration. I don't like it either. I like to see well-groomed attractive women in positions of power, but I notice that all coverage of the social environment around Trump seems to be the same people all the time. There's no greater public sphere shown, and that seems to me to be a bubble. The Trump MAGA Administration should be a universe, not a mere planetary system of players orbiting around Trump.
I have an open mind, bordering on approval, of puffy lips and enlarged breasts. That look certainly worked for Bridget Bardot. However, that look does not work for bald, middle aged men such as we saw during the Biden administration.......My money was on Robert Kennedy to leave Trump in a huff. MTG would be far down in my list of suspects. Compared to his first term, Trump's doing pretty good. I didn't read the article, but the picture in the NYT makes her look like Joan of Arc. She seems sincere, and like, say, Rand Paul, she's still okay in my book.......Here's an insight I could only offer in the anonymity of the internet. Those girls volunteered to give a reasonably hygienic older man a hand job in return for money. I don't think it's an optimal or idyllic experience for a young girl, but I just don't see it as some kind of overwhelmingly traumatic experience. How much sympathy do these girls deserve?
Majorie Taylor Green looks like a fucking dumpster. She shouldn't be commenting on other women's looks.
She is hideous.
“I doubt there will be an election in my children’s lifetime fairly won by the Democrat”
I’m well into my 70’s and doubt there has ever been, in my lifetime, an election won fairly by a Democrat.
No audit of the votes was ever undertaken.
This is a bald-faced lie. They recounted the counterfeit bills in the cash register five times over, and got the very same sum every single time.
Shades of last week's Poppy Sowerby Magababe makeover and Mrs. Mamdani. The intersection of fashion and politics is a trivial distraction.
2020 election: It's not the 81 million votes. It's the targeted fraud in the key swing states.
I am surprised they used such a bad picture of her for a fawning article.
as greg kelly pointed out, at least one of these 'victims' miriam farmer, is a bald faced liar,
or course there were a host of data points, that suggest why epstein was kept out of scrutiny, but they really don't examine that, (mike benz for instance)
cheat the vote is not a CIA conspiracy. It's a mass vote fraud theory - based on all the last minute covid rules changes to how we vote..
Including but not limited to the ballot box stuffing at 3AM via remote drop boxes - many of which were provided by Mark Zuckerberg. Bogus signature verification which should be banned universally.
that Trump and the GOP won't do this - really pisses me off.
he put out an executive order, and one of the judges froze it
I think it's up on appeal on one of the circuits,

Inside and out.
I agree with some of MTG - but never really liked her operating procedure. She is/was frustrated with not just Trump - but the fact that the rest of the GOP house isn't following thru with basic promises.
Trump likes to crap in his own sandbox. I hear he pissed of Elise Stefanik, too, now.
Good going - jackass.
¿Quién es más macho, MTG or Tim Walz?
He did Stefanik a favor. I like her, and think she'd make a great governor, but she was gonna lose that NY election, even if she managed to win the primary. New York is broken.
“I want you to know that Johnson is not our Speaker. He is not our leader,” Greene told The New York Times in December, according to a profile of her published Monday. “And in the legislative branch — a totally separate body of government — he is literally 100 percent under direct orders from the White House. And many, many Republicans are so furious about that, but they’re cowards.”
Stefanik is going to resign her house seat because of Trump.
As far as running for Gov - that's probably separate. She can read the tea leaves.
'They counted all the votes. That was the final tally.
And that is the problem many of us see. They counted ALL of them. Not just the legitimate ones.
We know, for example, about 300 m illegitimate Georgia votes. We'll know more in coming weeks.
We suspect, with good reason, many more.

The top MAGA women tart themselves up in part to prevent insults from the left. Look at how Sarah Huckabee Sanders was treated for just looking like a decent mom. So instead they get called puffed up female drag queens.
Heaven forbid any rightie ridicule the black female Dem politicians for their straight-outta-Sally-Beauty-Supply getups. Gutfeld makes fun of Maxine Waters' wigs, but he gets away with it because Dems don't want to give him more eyeballs. CC, JSM
Epstein is a third rail for Trump. Lotta smoke for a nothing Burger
Mtg gets a bad rap on the Jewish space lasers. Listen or read what she says, not just the sound bites mocking her.
Tesla, 125 years ago proved the concept of wireless power at usable levels (not data) Heinlein was writing about beaming nuclear power from space in the 30s ("blowup happen") I've discussed it several times here. I still think it is one of musk's goals.
There was a story yesterday about some Japanese breakthrough.
The technology exists, numerous tests have been carried out over the past dozen or so years. Laser is one way, microwaves another and there are others.
A known danger is if the be wanders off target. If it hits something flammable it might cause a fire.
Do space based lasers cause forest fires? Dunno, but it is at least possible. That is what Mtg was saying. I agree with her.
I still think it a great technology if it can be made to work economically.
The big problem is getting the gear into orbit. Musk is solving that. Along wit robots to erect and maintain it.
John Henry
"I’ve always been uncomfortable with how those women puff up their lips and enlarge their breasts."
Why is she body-shaming other women? MTG herself is striving for a beefy look that many people find unnatural and disconcerting in a woman. To each his own, Congresswoman.
Mtgs Jewish connection is a bit more far fetched but has to do with a Rothschild bank financing tests.
John Henry
This shouldn’t surprise anyone, but it’s still shocking to read.
Maybe don’t be friends with pedophiles, just saying.....
Marjorie Taylor Greene tells the Times that when she threatened to expose the men who abused Epstein’s victims, Trump called to scream at her.
“My friends will get hurt,” he said.
Microwave transmission might be plausible (but thats not important right now)
Full disclosure
I like mtg. She and djt are the only 2 pols I've ever given money to.
Other than to both gov candidates in 92 where wife and I maxed out because son thought he wanted to go to af academy and go has appt power.
It was a bribe, pure and simple. Legally a contribution. In reality a bribe.
In the event so decided against af so the money was wasted. I wanted to ask for a refund but wife told me not to be a troublemaker

kak - Unless you have proof - you are just another token hivemind- loyalist - a-hole leftist liar.

There will be some of those in there.
But just say it out loud. The CIA and Mossad don't want the files released.
And most of the victims got paid a lot of money so they obviously aren't interested in speaking up.
MTG wanted to be Senator.
She doesn't have the chops for it. She got mad Trump wouldn't endorse her.

I am not.
She is 51 by the way.
“Marjorie Taylor Greene tells the Times that when she threatened to expose the men who abused Epstein’s victims, Trump called to scream at her.
“My friends will get hurt,” he said.”
Astounding that the Trump administration DOJ is redacting the names and faces of the perpetrators, treating them as if they were the victims.
direct quote from NYT - or it didn't happen.
"they had done nothing to merit the honor. " said Trump
I actually kind of agree with that. Some of the "victims" stayed quiet for a really long time - because they stayed with Epstein for the money. Again - women - young and old - have agency. You're being abused? Leave. Call the police. Tell someone. Nope.
Some of these women lie, too.
funny how we never heard a peep about Epstein's victims during 4 years of Biden.
Well there was a big settlement negotiated in '22 sotto vocce
Cause who wouldn’t love a charmer like Trump.
As opposed to the mobbed-up, mean, vindictive Senator from MBNA? Also known as the Dumbest Person in the Senate?
So inspiring.
"Marjorie Taylor Greene tells the Times that when she threatened to expose the men who abused Epstein’s victims, Trump called to scream at her.
“My friends will get hurt,” he said.”
According to Marjorie Taylor Greene. Is there any other witness to this conversation? Is there any possibility she might be - shall we say paraphrasing, to support her position?
I am married to an inveterate paraphraser. When he tells me someone has "said" something, and the something is inflammatory or controversial, I have learned to ask, "What exactly did she say?" And the answer is always, "I don't know, it was something like that. What are you, the Word Police?" as if the person's actual words don't matter.
In other words, she doesn't even have to have ill intent to be paraphrasing. But did the reporter ask, "What exactly did he say, ma'am?"
If you recount bogus votes multiple times, you get the same results. The very notion that Biden was more popular than Obama is ludicrous. And yet Biden got the most votes in American history. 12 million more than Obama in 2008, 15 million more than Obama in 2012, 15 million more than Hillary in 2016, 6 million more than Harris in 2024. 81 million votes stick out like a sore thumb. Trump's total in 2024 was 77 million, good for the second-place all-time. So yes, it's 81MillionLOL.
well trump WAS pals with Bill clinton.
The least kept secret in history
There is absolutely nothing preventing MTG from reading the names of "the men who abused Epstein's victims" on the floor of the House, with full immunity.
"Stefanik is going to resign her house seat because of Trump."
That's a negative in her column, not his. She's supposed to be representing her district, not having a pissing contest with Trump.
That makes women look unfit for office. Same with MTG. It's not a damned soap opera. Am I right, Hardin?
If you want a factoid which shows how fake the vote was in 2020. Trump won the votes on election day in Pennsylvannia 60-40 and lost the mail-in vote 2-1. He lost the state by 80 thousand votes.
They did do a half-assed review of the 2020 vote in Arz and found Mariposa county had lost lost chain of custody, and allowed thousands of invalid votes from dead people, out-of-staters, foreigners, and with people with no address. Enough to swing the election.
MTG looking for respect from The View and the NY Times? She's a party of one now. Someone should tell her.
On the bright side: Losing in 2020 meant Pence had to show his true colors. That fake got exposed on J6.
Bagoh
I was just thinking about that. While I get their gripes - quitting is just weak.
I heard someone say/ or I read - that Trump really treated Stefanik poorly.
Stefanik is a good egg.
I wasn't in the room. who knows? But Stefanik was rightfully angry.
He hadnt endorsed yet that was the size of his decision

Of course, Maricopa is the only county that really counts in AZ…
Throw in the >300k illegally counted votes in a single Dem run county in GA, and the Dems picked up 4 Senate seats, they shouldn’t have had (and Chuck Schumer as Majority leader there), and the corresponding electoral votes.
Oh, and it gets better. Apparently in Somali fraud drenched MN, someone with no ID, on voting day, can bring in a dozen new voters, also without any IDs, as new voters, on their say-so, alone. Wonder why MN Gov Walch is so adamant about ignoring the Somali fraud in his state? Why such a fraud heavy constituency is so important to him? Look no further than their electoral power. If they can invent fraudulent day care centers and home health care recipients, many of which don’t physically exist (but collect $billion$ in tax money), inventing enough voters to swing elections is child’s’ play for them.
What’s interesting to me, in regards to Stefaninc, is that the Trump Administration was going to offer her a job - which she apparently turned down, because the loss of her House seat would have made the Republican edge in the House too tight. What’s going on here - with the possible loss of both House seats, this term in Congress? Can the Republicans afford to lose the House, and the advantages of majority rule - such as Comer’s Oversight Committee’s investigation into Dem fraud? Who, if anyone, is behind this?
I like that Trump has surrounded himself with beautiful women. Powerful beautiful women. It’s a public perception issue. Beautiful women prefer the Republicans. And we saw that with young women before the last election.
It’s a stereotype, of course, but a good one to have on your side. And if it takes a bit of hair coloring or breast jobs to pull it off, Thats a cheap price to pay. We want young women to think that the beautiful women are Republicans, and only the ugly ones are Democrats.

And God created woman, and The Donald noticed. He was 10 years old when Bardot appeared. What was he supposed to do? ignore women created by God? Or enjoy their beauty.
