I clicked and was able to read the full article. No paywall. Maybe you didn't click hard enough, Peach. Maybe you didn't want it bad enough. Maybe the machine doesn't respect you anymore because you've developed lackadaisical ways with regard to your device handling...or it's entirely possible there's some other explanation.
Anyway, it's a very depressing article and maybe you're better off having not read it.

What was interesting in this article was this: It ‘s the conversations with the sex worker that draws men back. The conversation, however, is not conducted with the woman but with a moderator who speaks perfect English, is conducting many conversations at the same time and is often a gay man. (In my opinion) a gay man is more attuned to what the buyer is yearning to hear and is also more accepting of the craft of seduction.

Since at least the time of the invention of agriculture, slavery has been pervasive in human civilizations. It is politically expedient to pretend that the only truly pernicious form of slavery arose in connection with the transatlantic slave trade. That is false. Humans have always found ways to coerce people into doing their bidding, and throughout history it is unusual that they have been constrained by ethical norms.
