"Nolan Williams, an innovative neuroscientist who developed a noninvasive brain-stimulation technique that has delivered unusually fast relief to people with treatment-resistant depression..."

"... died on Oct. 8 at his home in Northern California. He was 43. His wife, Kristin Raj, said he died by suicide. Dr. Williams himself had struggled with depression, according to two of his colleagues...."

This doesn't make any sense.

I note this from another article:

"Clinical trials led by Williams demonstrated that patients with treatment‑resistant depression experienced a significant reduction in symptoms after just a single session of targeted stimulation."

And Ibogaine works wonders too. He said. With huge percentages of remission. He said.

This doesn't make sense.

Most shrinks (and the shrink-adjacent) are nuts who go into the field(s) to figure out why they are nuts.

Brain stimulation (e.g., electroshock therapy) has long been shown to help with treatment resistant depression. However, the side effects are not good.

Any time i hear Suicide attached to anyone working on a Solution to a Problem that makes Big Pharma Big Money, I get Really skeptical. Was he home alone? How did he die? Nowhere Near enough actual information here, just someone's declaration.

After reading that book, "The Instability of Truth" and the discussion of what really happened in "The Terminal Man," well, no thank you.

Very disappointed with the comments. Apparently he suffered from —which may have been the reason why he went into the field—but sadly was in the fraction of patients that was not helped. I would be surprised if he was unwilling to avail himself of his own treatment

The idea that people with problems become therapists to find out what's wrong with themselves is a bit of a cheap shot. Troubled people want to see someone who has some understanding of their problems, not someone who may know their way around organic chemistry and cadavers, but not the problems of the heart and soul.

JPost tells us that recent DNA analysis suggests that Adolf Hitler likely had Kallmann syndrome, a genetic disorder that can result in a micropenis and undescended testicles. They add that the syndrome could have altered his testosterone levels and carried about a one-in-ten chance that he had a micropenis.

So Hitler and our lamest of lame ducks president may have more in common than was previously supposed. Stormy Daniels wrote: I lay there, annoyed that I was getting fucked by a guy with a dick like that of the mushroom character 'Toad' in the Mario Kart video game.

A very good thing it may not work with everyone
