Maher isn't used to people taking a personal interest in him, and he's flattered, and responsive. I think he has developed his craft as a way to be popular in life, but his guests always see him as the interviewer, someone doing his job, and they're there to be pumped - and he's just the qualified attendant.
Listened to her on other podcasts. Very smart person. Does her research. Improvisational comedy background. Very, very impressive.

This is Maher’s framing: Why isn’t the left (or the right - in my opinion) interested in gender apartheid. I can’t decide if that’s the banner under which to fight for women’s rights around the world.But it’s interesting.

Unscripted yes, but Curb only had 12 seasons.

Hines got a chance to show us who she is: Intelligent, observant, a clever converstionalist. It takes a lot of toughness and courage to be married to her husband. Good on her.
