In short, it's a big Saturday, but a normal Saturday. A protest at the Capitol and a big football game at Camp Randall. The crowds should flow in and back out as crowds have ebbed and flowed from the isthmus from the beginning of football.
UPDATE, the next day: I'm seeing estimates that 10,000 to 15,000 attended, so that was much more than the "expected crowd" Grok put on the chart I asked it to make. The crowd was very peaceful. Reminding me of the Tea Party gatherings of yore. No one got arrested. I didn't see any hecklers or counter-protesters. There also weren't traffic problems. We easily drove downtown and parked in a parking structure a couple blocks from the Capitol.

Yeah the official name of that protest is "I Was Told I Have A King -- Where's My F'n King???"

I think we’re thinking of the same guy — didn’t he drive a garbage* truck on the side?

I know OSU blew out the Badgers, but their defense hung in there considering.
So both ended up being a bust, huh?
Nothing more Democratic than scheduled impromptu grassroots protests financed by billionaires.
And, let's pretend the left's concern really is deportation, as opposed to banning boys from girls locker rooms, and encouraging juvenile sex change
Ohio State did pretty well. Justin sayin'
Well-put, Yancey.
From the printed schedule, someone smart decided to keep all the youth away by having the rally coincide with getting into the stadium to see the football game. Priorities prioritized!
There was apparently a big march in Portland, Oregon, yesterday, and I saw a bunch of people walking to it, but I didn’t see the march. What’s more notable is that I walked about 5 miles though Portland, from NW 25th down to the farmers market next to Portland State University, and from there into the Pearl, and then back home though Alphabet City, and I did not see a single tent or encampment. Two years ago I’d have seen 20 or so on that walk. Yesterday, none. I think the city has pushed most of the feral homeless into the few blocks around Chinatown or into the fringes of parks on the city’s outskirts or into industrial zones. That’s an improvement but there’s a long way to go.
Edit: Y'all's right, I was thinking Ron Zook. My mistake.
