Chotiner reminds her that she wrote a book about it, and he's interviewing her about her book. He's "not bringing this up randomly." Her response is to claim that the subtitle of her book — "A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines" — refers to the Trump White House.

I do believe that within a few months of Biden’s election that I posted a comment that there would be a time when the questions of who knew what and when would have to be answered. I’m pretty sure I included that in my opinion it was elder abuse.

Biden was sharp as a tack except on the day of the debate. Then, just on that one day -, and not that whole day because he was OK on the plane, probably, - but just on that one day I didn't spend time with him on the plane - and so, - but, just for those few hours when everyone was looking, then he wasn't exactly OK. And everyone started thinking they knew Joe Biden whereas, well, how many of them spent time with Joe Biden everyday in the White House. And I did and if he wasn't mentally acute, wouldn't I notice. So, if I were as out of it as everyone else because they didn't average any time at all with him each day as a black, queer woman or anything else worth being and I was. And I'm talking here about what I know about inside the Trump White House where, OK, I've spent no time as a black, queer woman but Biden isn't there either any more so it doesn't affect what I know. On average.
