A stellar peek through the trees into the woods. An enlightened glimpse of a warming climate and life awakening.

I happen to love this story (by way of CFP):
Bay area student decides to fake her identity in order to get into Yale, is accepted, then wants to build a cage in her dorm room for her submissive boyfriend, gets found out and is now back home living with her parents.

Is the girl with a boyfriend in a cage as good a story as the woman with a chimp in a crib and her faceless anomaly?

Eva Marie, ref the girl who faked her way into Yale: The Ivies' no longer requiring standardized-test scores definitely helped. The scores get sent directly from ETS, so that would be nearly impossible for an impostor to fake. I suppose you might be able to register for the test with a fake name, then make a fake ID card to take the test, but that would make your fraud effort more complex - plus you'd actually have to do well on the test. Ah yes, reminds me of watching the day come alive after sitting in my tree stand in the dark seeing God's evening turn into His beautiful morning ,as I seek to fill my Archery season Deer tags in New York in October to put at least 2 clean killed, dressed and packaged in my shed to my freezer ,and extra tags would send one to the VA locker to be shared. Miss those days a lot. Also early morning race running competitions on woodsy trails best conditioning for marathon training, In New York October could be 15 degrees or 80 degrees and sometimes I would sit in the dark in full camo hood and heavy overalls and by noon be stripped down to my camo wife beater t shirt and knowing any take would have to be hustled out of woods, into shed for dressing and butchered and packaged rapidly for no spoils. Tough time for ticks though and I got bite and got real sick last year in the north ERLICHIOSIS I think thy called it. Ill for more than a month. Before moving south I would go up into my stand,no weapons and just watch Night turn to day and the nocturnal life turn into the day creatures ,just take pictures. Always alone, never went out with anyone too distracting.

Explains a whole lot, Dinky. But it was either Lyme disease or Anaplasmosis.

ERLICHIOSIS is what you can come down with from watching too much “Silicon Valley” on HBOMax.

@Dinky. I have three deer tags to fill. I am just south of NY border in PA. Archery for us started yesterday. I primarily hunt evenings and watch the sunset. Without question, this is the best time of the year to be in woods.

I see in the Wall Street Urinal that Chicago is afraid that Ice and the National Guard are going to instill fear. We can’t have the wrong group instill fear around here, can we.

The up side of getting booted from Yale is that she doesn't have to have a roommate who sneaks into her room and goes through her purse. That person should be expelled for that.

Currency arbitrage costs Milei US$2 billion a month in Argentina ~ Buenos Aires Times

Milei must surely delight in watching these individual actors follow their own economic self-interest? Thatcher wanted to create a nation of shareholders whereas Argentina is a nation of currency traders.

"Individual traders snapped up $9.5bn from Argentina’s central bank ...to sell them for more pesos on a parallel exchange market," illustrates political incompetence, and probably political corruption, to allow this to happen, and to allow an infrastructure to exist for it to happen. And it explains why Trump was so interested.

Portland police sergeant appears to criticize assault victims for antagonizing anti-ICE protesters

https://www.foxnews.com/us/portland-police-sergeant-appears-to-criticize-assault-victims-for-antagonizing-anti-ice-protesters

"Despite repeated advice from officers to stay away from the ICE crowd [anti-ICE rioters], they [counter-protesters] constantly return and antagonize the protesters until they are assaulted or pepper sprayed. They refuse or are reluctant to walk away from these confrontations, even when police are in the area trying to meet with them."

In other words, "They were asking for it."

Why aren't those committing assault arrested? Some protesters are more equal than others, it would seem.

The one incident that made me laugh the most was when our Secretary of War lectured all the generals about not being fat or gay. Yet the Commander in Chief of all of our Armed Forces was the fattest person in the entire room, and he celebrates gay sex and gay marriage.

lonejustice seems to have an obsession with gay sex. Trump, on the other hand, seems to value people for their abilities.

No, I just think it is not appropriate for the Commander in Chief of the United States Military to celebrate gay sex in our military forces. Not that there is anything wrong with that, of course.

Yes most seasons I had 3 tags also. There is nothing like Bow season sitting in a tree in -10 during Gun season wasn't as enjoyable but sometimes I had tags to fill to stock freezer.
I sold all my gear(basically gave it away(JENNINGD FORKED LIGHTING 60lb pull ,shotguns, tree stands ,ladders etc. had to ship my handguns(Walthers 32 original ,my pops) my 9 and 45 S&W SHIELD PLUS (CONCEALED CARRY and M&P45) not like my military 1911 carried on watch. Greatest asset I had for taking deer out of deep woods(hunted always by myself)was the Cabela deluxe Game Cart. I left it chained on private land in one of many tree stands I had up, never got taken. Good luck in the season, may your shafts fly straight and clean and hit for minimal run.

Nice I always uses EASTON Carbon light and fast shafts, fixed blade broadheads standard 8-32, 1 PIN ON MY JENNINGS FORKED LIGHTING COMPOUND, fast ,quiet and deadly ,never flew any arrows more than 20 yards for accurate kills, nothing worse than watching and seeking out a wounded animal on the run from a poorly placed shot.My brother in law avid recurve, wooden arrows shooter, shunned compounds. Holding 60lbs on a recurve in my late 60's was trying. That was almost 20 years ago.Safe and prosperous hunting during the season
