From the transcript (beginning at 54:12):
From London to Lima, from Rome to Athens, from Paris to Seoul, from Cairo to Tokyo, and Amsterdam to right here in New York City, we stand on the shoulders of the leaders and legends, generals and giants, heroes and titans who won and built our beloved nations, all of our nations, with their own courage, strength, spirit, and skill. Our ancestors climbed to mountains, conquered oceans, crossed deserts, and trekked over wide open plains. They charged into thunderous battles, plunged into grave dangers, and they were soldiers, and farmers, and workers, and warriors, and explorers, and patriots. They built towns into cities, tribes into kingdoms, ideas into industries, and small islands into mighty empires. You're a part of all of that.
They were champions for their people who never gave up and who never ever gave in. Their values, defined our national identities. Their visions forged our magnificent destiny. Everybody in this room is a part of it in your own way. Each of us inherits the deeds and the myths, the triumphs, the legacies of our own heroes and founders who so bravely showed us the way. Our ancestors gave everything for homelands, that they defended with pride, with sweat, with blood, with life, and with death.
Now, the righteous task of protecting the nations that they built belongs to each and every one of us. So together, let us uphold our sacred duty to our people and to our citizens. Let us protect their borders, ensure their safety, preserve their cultures, treasures, and traditions, and fight, fight, fight for their precious dreams and their cherished freedoms, and in friendship and really, a beautiful vision. Let us all work together to build a bright, beautiful planet, a planet that we all share, a planet of peace and a world that is richer, better, and more beautiful than ever before.
That can happen. It will happen. It will happen, and I hope it can happen and start right now, right at this moment. We'll turn it around. We're going to make our countries better, safer, more beautiful. We're going to take care of our people.
Thank you very much. It's been an honor. God bless the nations of the world. Thank you very much. Bye.
One almost expects "YMCA" to begin and Trump to dance. But that "bye" will need to stand in for his traditional American ending. I thought it was a great ending. I can't think of when I've heard anyone embrace the whole world like that. I mean, I can imagine what his enemies will drag in for comparison.

"Thank you for your attention to this matter."
Great example of "Why can't we do that?" which should be the MAGA movement's motto if it ever gets tired of "MAGA."
The shithole country presidents get behind that podium and give long rambling speeches were they proclaim their doctrines and call out their opponents.
US Presidents up till Trump felt they had to show more decorum and lead by example.
Trump realizes none of the wogs and fuzzy-wuzzies follow our example, so Why Can't We Do That? - give a no holds-barred speech. So he does.
Other examples of WCWDT: controlling our borders, being proud of our heritage, etc. So much of Trump Thought comes from 80 years of watching lesser people and peoples doing things, scratching his head and thinking WCWDT. So guess what - now We Do That Too. CC, JSM
Did he accidentally take truth serum today?

This is so exciting!
I wonder what Trump’s policy will be tomorrow!

Spot on.
From the transcript:
Many years ago, a very successful real estate developer in New York, known as Donald J. Trump, I bid on the renovation and rebuilding of this very United Nations complex.
I remember it so well. I said at the time that I would do it for $500 million, rebuilding everything. It would be beautiful. I used to talk about, "I'm going to give you marble floors, they're going to give you terrazzo." The best of everything. "You're going to have mahogany walls, they're going to give you plastic." But they decided to go in another direction, which was much more expensive at the time, which actually produced a far inferior product. And I realized that they did not know what they were doing when it came to construction and that their building concepts were so wrong, and the product that they were proposing to build was so bad and so costly, it was going to cost them a fortune. And I said, "And wait until you see the overruns." Well, I turned out to be right. They had massive cost overruns and spent between two and $4 billion on the building and did not even get the marble floors that I promised them.
I love the guy, but save something to talk about on the golf course, Donny!
Its a good change from Bumbling Biden and Empty suit Obama. And an even better change from "We're going on a world wide crusade to spread Democracy" Bush.
Protecting borders is something only Christian Nationalists do.

I'd never heard that story, so I'm happy he told it. The difference between President Trump and that mumblelump Biden is that Donald Trump was a successful developer who's had more wealth in any one building than most of his critics can even imagine.
Isn't it odd when the best message someone powerful can give turns out to be a breath of fresh air?
That was a helluva story in FT. Tl;dr: "Let's you and him fight."
As long as. we stay out of it.
Yes, of course, one almost expects "YMCA" to begin and Trump to dance. What I don't understand is why so many Trump and MAGA people now celebrate gay sex. It used to be, under Reagan and Bush, that we acknowledged that gay sex existed, but we didn't make a big deal of it. Live and let live, as people then said. But today Trump and MAGA celebrate gay sex, and even sponsor gay marriage orgies at Trump's Florida resort. They advocate gay sex orgies. What the hell has happened?
Well played RC.
We're going to take care of our people.
And what about countries that don’t want to take care of their people — places like Starmer’s UK, Macron’s France, Maduro’s Venezuela? What about them?
We can't have that.
here is the superior vision of the collective left.

That’s so funny me too. It adds this giggle factor what lowers the gravitas of what’s being said…

Via a YouTuber I came across an Ayn Rand quote I'd never heard before :
"Contradictions do not exist. Whenever you think that you are facing a contradiction, check your premises. You will find that one of them is wrong".
AI: This quote emphasizes that a contradiction is a sign of error in one's thinking, not a feature of reality itself. Rand believed that reality is rational and consistent, and any perceived contradiction points to a flawed premise.

Trump resonating is just a restoration... a restoration of what has been, because "what has been" has never been a burden.
You didn't mention that the escalator stopped working right after the Trump's stepped on it and the teleprompter went on the blink as he started his speech.
What I don't understand is why so many Trump and MAGA people now celebrate gay sex.
We don’t. We celebrate a good song. Republicans don’t do identity politics.
Trump testimony to Congress on UN HQ Renovation.
But today Trump and MAGA celebrate gay sex, and even sponsor gay marriage orgies at Trump's Florida resort. They advocate gay sex orgies.
There is something really wrong with you.
Who would have ever imagined that Trump and MAGA would be the biggest defenders and supporters of gay sex in America.
On the link to the Trump UN video I posted above you will want to scroll back to the beginning. For some reason it always opens in the middle of the video. Trump gives a master class to a Senate committee on NYC real estate and building renovation.
Finally someone found a use for the U.N.: a place to berate the world for it's lack of courage, vision and action. It won't change them, because they are weak, immoral people, but it's at least valuable to point it out to the world.
It’s just the typical mix of narcissistic delusions, outright lies, and trudging up of petty old grievances that defines all of his speeches.

Trump won’t forget. The wisest move on the part of the UN leadership would be to send the technical staff responsible for that down to the White House with the nooses already knotted around their necks, lest he conclude that the leadership was in on it.
Also unmentioned is Trump calling Vlad Putin a paper tiger. Are Ukrainian Air Force pilots going to be flying F-35s?
Apparently, kak-ah hardest hit.
Just another 1537 keystrokes more and you’ll have your day’s pay… enough for dat bottle o’ Mad Dog!
"Not that there is anything wrong with that."
At least Trump has actually built things, and knows what he’s talking about. I don’t doubt that the UN building would be a lot nicer if he had been in charge. The actual renovation looks like it was done by a committee of Joe Bidens and Kamala Harrises. Which it pretty much much was: useless people spending someone else’s money to poor effect.
“It’s just the typical mix of narcissistic delusions, outright lies, and trudging up of petty old grievances that defines all of his speeches.“
And every other political speech since the 20th century. Some people have a fine ear for the faults of their hated enemies. Bla bla Trump is bad. Do you knowTrump is bad. Bla bla everyoneknowsTrumpisbad. I bet you did not know Trump is bad.

What’s the word, Thunderbird, what’s the price, a dollar twice. But some like Night Train.
It sounds like the intro to one of the Civilization games...
“ It’s just the typical mix of narcissistic delusions, outright lies, and trudging up of petty old grievances that defines all of his speeches.”
That’s what my Grandfather thought after hearing an FDR fireside chat.
Gay marriage won out in part because the opponents were always talking about anal sex, and the supporters were talking about weddings. That still applies. If Trump makes his estate available for weddings, Mar-a-lago isn't going to discriminate. If some people assume gay weddings means sex orgies, that's their problem and bound to be thought in poor taste.

Democrats pounce! "Trump Whines About Not Getting U.N. Renovation Job." That's the New Republic. The conclusion of the speech was actually quite inspiring. Quite a contrast to Joe Biden telling us "We're the United States of America. We can do anything if we put our minds to it" and demonstrating that there was hardly anything we could manage to do.
“ It sounds like the intro to one of the Civilization games...”
I used to play Red Alert and civilization on x86 and now we have gpus and I would expect games to be better, but where do you go to get good games, I have been using gpus to train models and have not played games. Is it steam?
lonejustice doubling down on the gay sex stuff. He (she?) sure seems to think about that a lot. NTTAWWT.
The latest instructions from the DNC are to focus on Trump supporting gay sex.
Kaki and lone justice are basically bots.
I think the latest Civilization (VII, I think) is available on Steam. I mostly just play The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which is almost 14 years old but still my favorite game ever. It's possible that The Elder Scrolls VI may come out within my lifetime, since I'm only 65, although I'm not counting on Todd Howard coming through any time soon. If not, I'll keep enjoying Skyrim.
Trump walked into a bar. The bartender said ha ha I turned off your escalator. Trump says I don’t need an escalator to be bigger than you.
Thanks Clyde I’ll have to check it out, trade some ore and tobacco.
Let us protect their borders, ensure their safety, preserve their cultures, treasures, and traditions…
Trump is taking “law and order” global.
It was very rough. It’s clear the US is not fielding our best and brightest and sending them to the international stage.
Is it lying, if dementia causes you to say it?
If his base could process reality, they’d be pretty upset.
If a piece of fruit looked like that, you’d throw it out.
Gay marriage
Transgender marriage? Couplets? Sure, why not. Without discrimination for sexual orientation (e.g. pedophilia, polygamy, etc), proponents of political congruence ("=") will have to be more inclusive. #NoJudgment #NoLabels #HateLovesAbortion
That said, civil unions for all consenting adults. #LoveWins
Trump's proposal do to the UN building renovation both far better and cheaper was the first time I ever really noticed or took him seriously.
From CBS:
- After heavily criticizing the U.N. during his speech minutes before, Mr. Trump said during a meeting with U.N. Secretary General António Guterres that the U.S. is "behind the United Nations."
"Our country is behind the United Nations 100%" he said. He thanked Guterras for "treating us so warmly" and saying the U.N. brings a great opportunity for peace.
"I may disagree with it sometimes but I am so behind it because I think the potential for peace for this institution is so great," Mr. Trump said. -
More of this, please. We all can get along.

I should have thought that was clear when Barack Obama addressed UN, not to mention Joe Biden forgetting where he was at and why he was there.
Huge, if true!
Jim Jones’ lieutenant spoke quite highly of Jim Jones as well.
I like terrazzo better than marble.
If you cut Joe Biden's or George Bush's or Barrack Obama's teleprompter you will watch a bucket of slobbering failure. They were pathetic losers with a teleprompter.
If you cut Donald Trump's teleprompter he doesn't miss a beat and you get a one hour call out of all of the world's failures and globalist sellouts.
