Sad, but not remarkable. Most people mention their last day or last night on vacation... using the words "this is our last night here." but very sad... :(
If long flights deterred travelers - no one would do it. Long flights do suck. Crashing 30 seconds after take off. Again - very sad for all of the people lost.

Overheard in an airport men's room:

"If your 10 hour flight is going to crash, would you rather it happens on takeoff or the landing?"

"Depends on the airline."

"The Wellness Foundry, which is located in Vauxhall, offers psychic readings, tarot cards and aura readings, and has partnered with major brands such as Netflix, Google and Dior."

Psychic? I did not see that coming.

Seriously though. Anybody who has been to India and looked around at literally ANYTHING ABOUT how it runs its entire society ... from top to naked bottom pooping publicly ... should be able to extrapolate what they see to make an informed decision about whether you want to get on their airline.

Maybe the guy who knew the password for the Iranian air defense system was on the Air India flight. His lieutenant in Iran the night of the attack was frantically clicking "Forgot Password?" and checking his emails.
"C'mon! C'mon! Fuuuuck!"
"Yes! Yes! I want to chat with a gearhead!"

Right now, our 4-year-old grandson is in China visiting his mom's relatives. So when I heard of a family with a 4-year-old all dying on that India flight, I was rattled to the bone. Such a loss, especially of a kid who never had a chance to live her life. And what a soul-destroying event for her relatives.

You can bet I will be sleepless the night our Jules is flying home over the Pacific. I know it's not rational to worry, but's still very, very human. The stakes are just too high.

It is true that unless we’re terminally ill; receiving medically-assisted euthanasia in Canada, the Netherlands, or some other such country that prunes the elderly from the general population; or sitting on death row in a prison, you never know when you’re living your last day. So enjoy every minute of every day.
