The media are desperate to blame Trump, and smear Trump and his supporters. Ignored - as always - is the non-stop violent rhetoric that comes out of Governor Tim Walz's mouth.
How do you go from "violence isn't the answer" to murdering people face to face? It sounds like something snapped in his mind and he went over the edge.
When you have Progressive Representatives that act like THIS: "A North Carolina state representative has called for President Trump’s beheading.
Rep. Julie von Haefen attended the “No Kings” protest yesterday in North Carolina holding an effigy of what appeared to be the decapitated heads of Trump and his senior policy advisor Stephen Miller."
Is there any wonder their mentally ill supporters attack? This guy was a Progressive nut.
Hopefully this woman gets what she deserves....because SHE is a problem. (can't blame being a comedienne, like they did with psycho Kathy Griffin.)
Near the bottom, some paragraphs at Ann's link - mention dogs and dog breeding. I hope authorities are looking into that- and saving any abandoned dogs. Next - the friend who seems credible - noted that the killer never even mentioned the two people he killed. so strange.
@Peachy, thanks for the link to DataRepblican. It as quite enlightening. But I want to say that if Boelter thought he could make a name for himself by murdering abortion-rights supporters, then he does not understand the Pro-Life movement at all.
Lots of reports on Twitter that his wife and three other relatives were detained in a car with "a weapon, ammunition, cash and passports". None of the reports apparently has the common sense to raise the obvious question: did these plural passports include her husband's, or were they just the passports of the people in the car? If they did, then it certainly looks like she was trying to take it to him, and bring him a weapon, and therefore knew where he was, or at least how to contact him. It would also make her an 'accessory after the fact'. Maybe the authorities wouldn't say whether his passport was in the car, but how stupid are our reporters not even to ask?
Big Mike - agreed. If you are pro life - you respect life. Period. He is false - a false prophet. Also - the left already place harsh social demands that no one dare BE pro-life. Pro-lifers show up and pray - and that offends the left a great deal. No room for anything but pro-abortion obedience. What this guy accomplished will be an even harder crack-down on anyone's ability to be pro-life.
P.S. The relatives were apparently pulled over 90 minutes north of Minneapolis-St. Paul, so it looks like they were heading for Canada. Were they planning to sneak across the border at an unguarded crossing? Trying to take a weapon into Canada at manned checkpoint would not be a good idea.
"Dr Weevil said... Lots of reports on Twitter that his wife and three other relatives were detained in a car with "a weapon, ammunition, cash and passports". A news report I read said the list had 70 names. I'm sure it "includes" all sorts of people. It would not be surprising to me for some of them to be pro-abortion. That could be the characteristic that links all of them, but I don't see any reason to believe that at this point.
Police are saying that Vance Luther Boelter had dozens of Minnesota Democrats on a targeted hit list.
Those on the list included Gov. Tim Walz, U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar, U.S. Sen. Tina Smith and state Attorney General Keith Ellison, according to law enforcement sources familiar with the matter.
I think it's pretty safe to say he was not a Democrat.
Loudogblog asked: "How do you go from "violence isn't the answer" to murdering people face to face"
The way you get there is to first try the non-violent approach and fail miserably. And then you realize, as the anti-Kings did yesterday, that non-violence doesn't produce anything.
If Trump was King yesterday, then he certainly still is today. Nothing changed. Non-violence changed nothing.
Now if all those King protestors had brought AK-47s to the rally, and demanded change, things might be different. Better? Perhaps not. But certainly different.
That's the hard truth. People think al Qaeda lost. Go look at Great Britian today. Tell me al Qaeda lost. They've taken England. Same with Ireland. In the United States, a Muslim cannot be criticized publicly or else you will be #cancelled as an Islamaphobe. After 9-11, we immediately elected a man named Hussein.
Germany has 5 million more Muslims today than in 2001. France 3 million. Canada 2 million.
Look at history; who is writing the history books? The non-violent? No.

Been doing that since I learned to read, and I learned early.
"who is writing the history books? The non-violent? No."
The history books are mostly being written by historians, who tend to be mild-mannered middle-class people who rarely encounter, and seldom promote, violence.
I've read quite a few very good history books in my ten years since retirement--I report many of them here--and not even the military historians strike me (ha) as non non-violent.
Perhaps you can list some history books that illustrate your point?
BTW, "militant Islamist" is becoming increasingly redundant. The faith has been militant since its origins in the sun-addled brain of a camel-rustling, child-fucking, warlord.

Maybe the guy was sick and tired of all the threats of violence against Trump and his supporters by democrats on the list.
Suspect industrious person could look at the target list and connect each one to hateful rhetoric.

Amen. As far as I know, there are no Democrat or Republican politicians or pundits advocating masking up and shooting people. The rush to discredit political opposition by attributing the actions of clearly deranged individuals to whatever broad category of "political" views or motivations the lunatic might also be linked to is spurious and asinine. He was also appointed to state board by two, different Democratic governors, his wife worked for Walz in DC and apparently had a bunch of No Kings signs in his vehicle.
Much like you, I think it's pretty safe to say he wasn't a conservative.
The guy's history comes across as somebody that's bi-polar, all of these vectors heading off from grandiose beginnings into failure or obscurity. Not that I'm any kind of expert on the subject. Trying to guess his motivations though, I'm not sure they're going to translate through any kind of political affiliation lens. The sooner they track him down and capture him, the better. And I'll say it again: As long as he's on the loose, withholding the manifesto or at least a summary of it, does a disservice to those that might be at risk. People have a right.

Only if your'e a complete fucking moron and a pathetic ignoramus
Last session Democrats voted to give free, which is to say "taxpayer paid for" health care to every illegal alien in MN.
This year the GOP got a split in the State House of Reps, and promised to shut down the gov't if they dint' get a good deal.
So they got one: to start with, adult illegals no longer get their health care paid for by the taxpayers.
Democrats had to vote for that budget, and Walz signed it.
The two Democrats he shot were Dems who voted for that budget. The woman he killed was the sole Democrat in the State House to vote for it, and thus the deciding vote.
He's a left wing psychotic just like all the other political killers in America
I don’t understand the roommate situation. He payed his roommate 4 months advance rent. But he also has a wife who, it seems, was willing to forfeit her freedom in a bid to help him?
Eva - Agreed - it's all very strange. I'm also reading he fled on foot after an exchange of gun fire with police. OK - how far can a person get on foot?
Reporters say that the Minnesota shooter is a Trump supporter and a fierce opponent of reproductive rights. The Althouse commentariat says he is a Marxist. For busy social media users, it can be hard to know who to trust.
Isn't it strange that the only camera image of the man in the house of the one of the victims - is a man in a strange bald mask - that completely hides his real identity.
“The two Democrats he shot were Dems who voted for that budget. The woman he killed was the sole Democrat in the State House to vote for it, and thus the deciding vote.”
Wrong…
“One victim of the Vance Boelter shooting, State Rep. Mellisa Hortman, was a Democrat and formerly the Speaker of the Minnesota House of Representatives. Her husband, John Hoffman, was also shot and injured. While both Hortman and Hoffman are identified as Democrats, their voting records on all recent legislation are not publicly available information that is typically compiled or disclosed in this format.
However, sources indicate that Vance Boelter shot Hoffman and his wife despite Hoffman having voted against a bill to remove health coverage, unlike Hortman. This suggests that at least regarding that specific bill, their votes were different.”
I'm not trying to be conspiratorial - obviously I'm only reading what everyone else is reading. It's morphed quickly.
One of my initial thoughts: the vote that just took place, where House Speaker Melissa Hortman(D) sided with Republicans. Video of her decision brought her to tears. Was this murder a way to intimidate democrats - *wink* - better stay in line - or else? Again - just a thought that passed thru...
“Did Boelter’s wife intern for Walz? There is also speculation on social media that Boelter’s wife, Jenny, was an intern for Walz. A spokesperson for the governor said that’s not true. The Walz intern is a different person who appears to be married to someone else, the spokesperson said. Were Boelter’s attacks a left-wing assault over a vote to strip health care from undocumented adults? Some on social media have speculated about Boelter’s political views and what motivated him to carry out the shootings.
One theory is that the shooter had left-wing politics and targeted Hoffman and Hortman for stripping state health care coverage from adult undocumented immigrants. Those allegations have been spread by prominent political figures with huge followings, but so far there is no evidence to support them.“
Considering the Russia Russia Maddow-Mueller Hillary hoax - and the Jan 6th lies and outrageous non-democratic treatment of American citizens- some of us are skeptical of a credibility-lacking democrat party media and possible mob narratives.
“Hortman this year was the only Democrat in the Minnesota House to vote for a bill to end that health care coverage for undocumented adults, which she did to honor an agreement with Republican legislative leaders to pass a two-year state budget on Monday. Hortman was opposed to the measure, like nearly all of her DFL colleagues at the Capitol, and was heartbroken about the vote, not terrified of violent repercussions from the governor. Walz agreed to that budget deal in writing, and also signed the legislation removing health care for undocumented adults on Saturday after the attacks on Hortman and Hoffman. Walz praised that deal on Saturday.
Boelter also shot and injured Hoffman and his wife, even though Hoffman, unlike Hortman, voted against the bill to remove health coverage.“
Does Vance Boelter’s wife work for CentraCare? Grok, X’s AI bot, said Vance Boelter’s wife, Jennifer, worked at CentraCare. St. Cloud-based CentraCare indeed does employ a doctor named Jennifer Boelter. However, she is not married to Vance Boelter.
The CentraCare physician is married to Dr. Chris Boelter, another physician employed by the health system. Jennifer Boelter, the physician, did not intern at Gov. Walz’s office, a spokesperson said.”
No evidence? What do you call Hortman being killed? It may not be the MO, but it is evidence that supports the possible MO. It is much more substantial evidence than the hearsay of the roommate and the speculation on what the list says. You have a body.
The Minnesota shooter supported Trump and had a kill list consisting entirely of Democrats and reproductive rights advocates. But it's unclear what his political motivations might be.
Kak - a - phony - you've already stated the offical democrat party line. Again - some of us are curious about what is really going on. because the whole thing is very strange.
Kak said, “The Minnesota shooter supported Trump and had a kill list consisting entirely of Democrats and reproductive rights advocates.” How does he know? The left said it while withholding the list. They say, “We were lying about Biden’s health, but now blindly trust us.”
Let's see your evidence, or as a dues-paying member of the PBIST Club (President Biden Is Sharp as a Tack), we'll denounce you as a mendacious shill.
Hint: Before you start assembling your transparently fake evidence, forget about the registered Republican bullshit. Minnesota doesn't do partisan registration.
He may be a rabid dog, but the sickness hasn't affected his brain. He's still evading law enforcement.
MN is getting its karma leveled. The DFL's went all in over the George Floyd/BLM swindle by decimating police agencies throughout the state. Consequently a murderous criminal with a 100+ IQ has a least a temporary exploitable advantage.
I fear Boelter will kill again before he's finally stopped, and Tim Walz must accept the blame.
As of Sunday evening, I can't see that there is enough evidence to know what this guy was up to.
It's extremely unusual that someone is so anti-abortion that he shoots and kills pro-abortion supporters and yet that committed person is unknown to anyone in the prolife movement. But it could be. The violent usually despise prolifers; the violent are anti-abortion, not prolife. Or this could be false flag operation which is what I am hoping is the case. A far leftist who despises the moderates, whether left or right, decides to shoot as many as he can and blame it on prolifers. Get the moderates and the prolifers. A sort of twofer.
If he's anti-abortion I condemn violence as way to achieve our goals. If it turns out he's a far leftist, maybe an anarchist, I think we''ll see the lefty commenters blaming Trump.
How about we just accept that the shooter was anti-abortion, pro-Trump, and a former gay lover of mine in college. Now what? He is still obviously crazy. He will have no effect on abortion law, Trump didn't know him, and I can't remember if he was my top or bottom. So what is this all about? Lies, who is doing them, and why, and this time, lets cut the liars off completely from our attention, once and for all.
They found a second car of his apparently abandoned. “We have not concluded exactly how he is getting around the area,” said Drew Evans, superintendent of the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension in Minnesota....."
I'd guess, the longer he's not caught using all the resources they've deployed, the likelier it becomes that it's because he's no longer moving at all. We'll see.
Something I noted - but I'm glad Bennie made it clearer. HOW did the police allow this guy to flee? - they had him. Look at the front door- with 10+ bullets police holes in it.
Quaestor said... "The Minnesota shooter supported Trump..."
Kakistocracy claims without evidence.
They have as much evidence of that as they do that Hunter's Laptop was Russian disinformation or that Trump colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election.
They are just dishonest and violent and just terrible people.
The kicker is that even after their lies are outed they continue on as if they aren't liars.
You just cannot have a free country with people like the current democrat party in it. The true liberals like RFK and Tulsi Gabbard were kicked out by the radical violent progressive left. The progressives need to be shipped to China and replaced with the JFK style democrat party of the 60's.
Isn’t it time now to stop twisting yourselves into pretzels with mistruths and conjecture about who this man is? It’s truly mindboggling how conservatives have attempted to deny the reality of this person’s ideological bent.
“Friends and former colleagues interviewed by AP described Boelter as a devout Christian who attended an evangelical church and went to campaign rallies for President Donald Trump. Records show Boelter registered to vote as a Republican while living in Oklahoma in 2004 before moving to Minnesota where voters don’t list party affiliation.”
“The first purpose of these disinformation efforts is, of course, to muddy the waters so that people with conservative inclinations, who may still abhor political violence, have a rationale to keep supporting Trump. On Facebook, liberals posting about the shooting are already seeing confused friends and relatives show up in their comments, asserting a connection between Boelter and Walz that isn't there. But the other potential effect of these conspiracy theories, whether intended or not, is to encourage more political violence from the right.
Right-wing conspiracy theories that make excuses for MAGA violence function as incitement in two ways. First, it signals to would-be terrorists that, if they take violent action, they can expect support from MAGA cheerleaders in cyberspace. Second, it creates counter-narratives that allow potential killers a rationale that they are acting in "self-defense." That hurting and killing Democrats is justified because, according to the conspiracists, Democrats started it.”
As Benny Johnson points out in the link Quaestor provided, the person in the Walter White mask and police uniform appears to be slight; Boelter appears to be relatively large and heavy.
devout Christian who attended an evangelical church
Perhaps Inga thinks all Christians ought to be opposed to abortion? Or maybe she thinks all Christians ought to oppose Democrat lawmakers? I’m not sure what her point may be by mentioning his religion as clear evidence of his political leanings. Perhaps she just means he is a zealot, but that would implicate her just as much as him, in terms of being dangerous.

I don’t understand the roommate situation. He payed his roommate 4 months advance rent. But he also has a wife who, it seems, was willing to forfeit her freedom in a bid to help him?
among the places he said he had been were gaza and lebanon, of course if he stayed in minnesota, he wouldn't have to go there,
"But he also has a wife"
Like Walz, he has a beard. He's so obviously gay it's like he's a walking, talking Pride Parade.
eee gads. Kaiser Permanente had a booth at a pride parade to attract children for their transgender clinic. They’re trying to recruit lifetime patients to mutiIate and castrate.
This didn't make the Sludgey news.
Hilarious - confounded by a book
Dick Cheney is forcing me to be a mommy!
when did that book come out?
As with nearly all the shooters, he seems more lunatic than partisan.
Eva - Agreed - it's all very strange.
I'm also reading he fled on foot after an exchange of gun fire with police. OK - how far can a person get on foot?
She's got lungs... she knows how to use 'em.
testing.
Reporters say that the Minnesota shooter is a Trump supporter and a fierce opponent of reproductive rights. The Althouse commentariat says he is a Marxist. For busy social media users, it can be hard to know who to trust.
kak - a - phony
You leftists have it all figured out.
Some of us maintain curiosity .
Hi Tarheel.

“Reporters say that the Minnesota shooter is a Trump supporter”
Well, what the Hell else would they say? The half-truths and lies never end with these so-called journalists.
so far there is no evidence to support them.
No evidence? What do you call Hortman being killed? It may not be the MO, but it is evidence that supports the possible MO. It is much more substantial evidence than the hearsay of the roommate and the speculation on what the list says. You have a body.
"Reporters say..."
"Reporters"??? Hahahahahahahahahahahaha... That's gold, Jerry- gold!
So far there have been 77 comments on this thread. 22 of the comments were from "Peachy". This has to be an Althouse record.
Peachy makes interesting, on topic comments. Some just whine, or better still, claim to be something they clearly aren’t…
🤨
The Minnesota shooter supported Trump and had a kill list consisting entirely of Democrats and reproductive rights advocates. But it's unclear what his political motivations might be.
Kak - a - phony - you've already stated the offical democrat party line.
Again - some of us are curious about what is really going on. because the whole thing is very strange.
Who gives a flying fuck about the people who were murdered when we can get one up on our political rivals. Does the name Pavlov ring a bell?
Again - he was married with children - but he had a room-mate... ? who gently outed him - maybe as a "Trump supporter against abortion."
did he live in a nice house? Some are saying he did.
He had money, he was broke, he worked at 7/11,
Spin the bottle for you next clue.
meanwhile - he got away on foot.
Howard- my post at 12:13 - of course the deaths of these two people is a horrific event.
Kak said,

How does he know? The left said it while withholding the list. They say, “We were lying about Biden’s health, but now blindly trust us.”
If the Minnesota shooter supported Trump, the left can't make a hero out of him, like they did Luigi Mangione.
Iman - thanks.
exactly Bob B. - excuse us if we don't trust leftist lying liars who lie. We don't.
The killer is like a rabid dog that needs to be put down. It has nothing to do with the particular breed.
Final reality check:
The Democrat Minnesota authorities announced immediately after reading it that they would not release his manifesto.
Anyone who things it's a pro-Republican / pro-life / anti-abortion manifesto is doing serious drugs
"The Minnesota shooter supported Trump..."
Kakistocracy claims without evidence.
"The killer is like a rabid dog"
More info.
We'll see.
right. Any of you leftist Soviet Democratic loyalists care at all about the death of Cory Compratore? NO.
Something I noted - but I'm glad Bennie made it clearer.
HOW did the police allow this guy to flee? - they had him.
Look at the front door- with 10+ bullets police holes in it.
Quaestor - thank you. THANK YOU.
Something very sinister is going down.
and yes - it has everything to do with her vote.
Not abortion.
Apparently, he's been taken into custody. Imagine that.
"Here is Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz two weeks ago telling Democrats that they need to "get meaner."
Two Minnesota lawmakers who voted against healthcare funding for illegal aliens were just shot in his state.
Is that "mean" enough for the Democratic Party?"
Peachy as usual, always wrong but never in doubt.
This MAGAt crusader had a hit list of abortion providers, you fucking dolt.

Records show Boelter registered to vote as a Republican while living in Oklahoma in 2004 before moving to Minnesota where voters don’t list party affiliation.”
https://apnews.com/article/minnesota-shootings-lawmakers-suspect-21b2165404bc66f77dd5e0e36efeb065

Our resident dullard, shaking off all her previous fails, returns to provide all a breakdown of what's up. This too will end badly.

Don’t forget his “pouncing” and “seizing”, too.
“…devout Christian who attended an evangelical church…”
The proper term is “austere religious scholar”.
When he was seeking out militant Islamists, who was converting who?
I-NAG(D) - WE DO NOT require lectures from someone who is a liar - and has ZERO credibility. Russia Russia Inag.
Thanks, FLC. That's what I thought.
