Regarding "86" as meaning or insinuating murder, surely there are many many quotes from movies, TV, fiction, etc. Grok did a poor job, finding only one or two very obscure examples. Likewise, Perplexity could only supply one, although less obscure, example (movie "Casino"). Popular culture should be teeming with examples. Let's hear 'em. I'm open to being persuaded.

There are two possible meanings from "8647."
Trump was hit by a bullet from a leftist who was obviously connected to the FBI and also clearly had inside support with people in the Secret Service.
They have unleashed violent mobs on cities dealing billions in damage and killing hundreds of people. They have colluded with the largest corporations to systematically censor political opposition. They have spent most of a decade changing laws, extending the statutes of limitation, and criminalizing widely practiced business activity to throw Trump in jail. They made up lies about the J6 protests killing police officers and used these lies to throw peaceful political opposition in jail.
These people do not get to claim the benefit of the doubt.

Apparently it has been used that way enough times for it to to be a generally acceptable, assumed use. It's in some dictionaries as such. I'd like to see actual use cases, even if in fiction. I've found one or two (Perplexity says: movie "Casino", Grok says 1 novel). I find that lacking and unpersuasive.

After a quick search, all other mentions of 86 as military jargon are just references that it is, or could be military jargon, but no actual uses. Compare to: roger, FUBAR, klick, KIA, MIA. Also military jargon. If those terms are searched, there would be millions++ examples of actual use in books, magazines, news, etc. That doesn't seem to be the case for 86.
The next logical question for me might be, how many examples would it take to persuade me? At this point though, shouldn't there already be thousands? The whole internet, moderate recreational effort and about 20 minutes yielded 3. Admittedly though, I'm not counting Reddit.

We all know that Comey wants Trump gone, as in no longer president.
This desire is irrational, as he knows that if Trump were no longer president, the current VP would be his worse nightmare as president- the same aims, even more motivation, and with fewer flaws that would limit his effectiveness.
Nevertheless, Comey wants Trump gone.
There are several ways to make a sitting president gone.
1. Wait for the end of his term. Not good enough, obviously.
2. Have him resign. Not gonna happen.
3. Impeachment and conviction. Not gonna happen.
4. Die of natural causes. Tell me another one.
5. Terminate with extreme prejudice. Now we're getting close to what would fill Comey with joy, and what Comey is trying to encourage someone, anyone, to do- he's not courageous enough to do anything other than cheer others on.
There is no defending what Comey is doing here. He's not inciting Trump's coronary arteries to spasm, he's not encouraging the House to impeach and the Senate to convict. He's hoping that his perfectly deniable tweet will push some lunatic over the edge, convince another suicidal confused loser to climb onto another roof and aim a little straighter than the last guy.
Comey will never be indicted, never be convicted. He'll be asked some pointed questions, will deflect them with one lie or another, and make a public statement that this is all just a misunderstanding, maybe even have some of his cronies remind us that politics ain't beanbag, and it will all be forgotten.

I'm saying that if 86 means murder, there would be a crazy number of examples on the internet (from movies, TV, books, magazines). I looked and found almost none. I see that amt posted some rap lyrics. That makes it 4 or 5 actual (found) use cases on the entire internet. Multiply that by a hundred and compare to Whack, rub out, bump off, offed, etc. There are probably hundreds of thousands/millions of use cases of those words. Maybe I'm way off on the scale of that, but the point stands. It's mentioned by reference (slang dictionaries and such), but without any actual usage.
I've never heard it used that way in person. Nor have I heard it used in the restaurant context. I have heard it used to mean run away, hide, duck out, discard, expel (like tossed from a bar).

Second, the Supreme Court cannot be dissolved, at least not without a Constitutional Amendment passed by Congress and ratified by the States.
Or the States could call a Convention to do that, and/or to revise the entire document.

Second, the Supreme Court cannot be dissolved, at least not without a Constitutional Amendment passed by Congress and ratified by the States.

I have often heard to “deep 6” something is to bury it. I think of 8 as infinity. 86 means to bury something so as never to be found.

It appears to me that if the Democrats want Trump dead right now (i.e., early) in his 47 Administration, then (in part) they must be effectively writing off electoral success in 2028 in lieu of forestalling J.D. USSSA did not drag-in South Afrikaner immigrant Elon Musk, who has never been subjected to security clearance investigation, to question him about his Nazi Salute. Why did they feel it necessary to question Jim Comey who was granted the highest security clearance possible?
Spacex is ITAR. It is also involved in launching military satellites. I guarantee Musk has been through the wringer.
