Tim Walz’s daughter announced that she was accepted into a graduate school but has decided not to attend, stating that as a “privileged white woman,” she does not want to support institutions that fail to protect student protesters. 🤡 pic.twitter.com/F995YVHPrl

I wonder which institution "said institution" was. It would help in understanding how much of a sacrifice this is. In some cases, an ambitious person, who can afford to take a year off, could do things to bolster her credentials and gain access to a more prestigious school. Why, this public declining of an offer is itself a credential! Especially in some fields... so I have to wonder what she majored in, undergrad. Sociology? I looked it up. It was indeed sociology! And a minor in women’s gender and sexuality studies.
So, great viral video. Great audition tape.
I remember when feminism involved seeing woman as the victim, but now we see young women contemptuous of that viewpoint and not worried about whether I would be protected.

I wonder if she enjoys smelling burning tires, like her mom.
Gender Studies.
These people are a sad F joke.
This cuts both ways. What do most Americans think about institutions that coddle and enable protestors?
Don't cry for me, Columbia.
I'm taking a year off to protest white privilege is fucking brilliant and I will die on that hill.
great video showcasing mental illness.

She did it so she could go on the Quixotic adventure that will be the Tim Walz Presidential campaign. Which will make missing a year even more credential-y because she'll be able to talk about the trauma from the knuckle-draggers rejecting her father.
My %100 disabled Brain Injured wife got an MSW.
Rigorous studies.
White leftists just let in 5+ million illegals - to import a slave class that dutifully votes for a$$holes like Tampon Tim.
translation, universities that protect jewish students or a similacrum of same,
Were I an admissions administrator, I might just make certain her planned behavior at my institution would comport with the mission statement and ideals of university attendance, and that she isn't planning on using the university as a mere backdrop for political performance art on her part. Unless of course the university supports that sorta s#it.
How to use a gap year for maximum cultural leverage. That's a bold strategy, let's see how it works out.
"I'm not worried about whether I would be protected because, like, I'm not a Jew."
I'm not sure a graduate degree in any of her pursuits would make her more employable. Her only avenues are to work for an NGO, a university (cranking out more people like her with useless degrees), or a Manhattan based magazine- if there are still any in existence. She does not hold the gravitas of a Chelsea Clinton (hilarious that I found someone who makes Chelsea seem substantive) so I don't see her landing with NBC.
Incredibly brave.
Hope Walz can't just say that she's taking a gap year, she has to be a virtue warrior and make it cause.
As governor, Tim Walz is making $150 k. If Hope needs to go into debt to get her Masters, Tim is bad with money or doesn't support his daughter.
"How to use a gap year for maximum cultural leverage."
Would it mean more if she included celibacy for the year off?
and by "protesters" she means Hamas supporters who vandalize and destroy University property, illegally occupy community spaces and buildings, and terrorize Jewish students and faculty.
So, she abases herself from her perceived allotments. This is like our policy leaders taking their knee. Nature abhors a vacuum, so I'm sure her sense of virtuous accomplishment will be amply rewarded by the newly privileged rushing in. I doubt her living standards will meaningfully change.
The Walz family are typical white Minnasotans. Clowns and weirdos.
She's pro-Hamas. There can be little doubt. (Apple, tree)

I know, I work with a lot of them. They trip on themselves trying to out virtual signal each other.
The privilege of feeling yourself to be fully educated before you've even been to school.
I'm, you know, Privileged White Woman...
She says, stating her indigenous American name.
"...institutions that fail to protect student vandalistic terrorists."
Fixed.
Are Privileged White Women no longer getting raped left and right at universities? Good to hear.
I view Walz as the Manchurian candidate, his wife as an evil Angela Lansbury, and his daughter as one of Cinderella’s step sisters.
Sheesh, what a family!
Anyone else think of Piper Ratliff?
Just AWFL.
the privilege that gets the cuomos the ferraros the bidens into college,
It’s a smart move. Monetize the moment while the hysteria is fresh. Walz himself knows he has no political future but lately he’s been putting himself out there to hoover the TDS dollars before the frozen chosen thaw. For Donks, political losses can be parlayed into serious cash.
Main Character syndrome. I don't think that's a good thing. Very much un-midwestern.
"I'm not going to give my money..."
I wonder if it really is "her" money or if it's money from her parents.
Is there a greater marker of "privilege" than pairing supreme confidence with an aggressive uptalking speech style?
She's keeping somebody posted with these periodic updates.
Did I miss the one where she says she's not dating white men anymore?
This is kinda like her dad taking a promotion then deciding he doesn't want to go to Iraq after all.
The road apple did NOT fall far from the tree.
I am Privileged White Woman.
Hear me mewl.
“ the privilege that gets the cuomos the ferraros the bidens into college,”
Even Davy Hogg got into Harvard with a 1200 level sat. And his dad was not a catered too pol.
Brainwashed with wokism. Also, I don't know of any higher ed institution that "doesn't support students' right to protest." That sounds like code for wanting break doors and burn shit. No one is being arrested for protesting. They are being stopped from violating the rights of other students less privileged than Ms. Walz.
But then her father did extend the privilege of burning down Minneapolis to people and call that "protesting" so maybe she's just a little fuzzy on how normal people see that shit.
It's not surprising that she's an idealist. If she spends the next year building houses with Habitat for Humanity, I'll applaud her. I still won't agree with her politics, but at least she'll have done something useful.
Not getting a graduate degree in sociology/womyns' studies may be the best choice she could make.
That she even applied to a school that doesn't protect rioters - er, protesters - speaks poorly of her.
Her father decided not to support a country that fails to protect student protesters and forewent his opportunity to be VP. Thoughtful bunch, this family.
A smug little leftie snot. Nonetheless, everyone is entitled to spend Daddy's $$ wherever they want based on whatever smug little leftie snot standards apply.

Nothing more privileged than choosing to do nothing. She's just doing nothing for a year. It's like "stay home, save lives" during COVID. Nobody love the do nothing heroics of that bullshit more than liberal white women. Pretty sure it's how the term "Karen" became so popular.
Personally, I don't give a shit what they say and I cannot understand why they seem to think any of us should....
Quoted for truth.
Well, there's always Only Fans.
There’s a phrase, “Good for you,” that’s every bit as contemptuous as “Bless her heart.”
"Anyone else think of Piper Ratliff?"
I had to look it up. The internet says she's the 'only normal member of her kooky family', so the Fact Checker rates this thought connection as 'Partly True'
She needs to pluck her eyebrows.
Must be real hard walking around carrying the weight of that virtue. Add in some privilege; white flavored, and she's like a beast of burden. A donkey maybe?
