I am shocked, shocked I say, to learn that California's Governor, Gavin Newsome, is less than a totally honorable and honest gentleman. This public lie, so easily exposed, is almost as bad as his public partying at the high end restaurant the French Laundry while enforcing a lockdown on the California citizenry. For that, he should have been vilified out of public office. For this stupid lie, he should be laughed out of public office.
Newsome is California's Justin Trudeau. He'll be and say whatever you like, but he wants to be in power to tell you what to do. Unfortunately, California has destroyed its voting system, so the residents will not be able to change their government. Newsome may move on, but his replacement will be just as bad.
How's that rebuilding going in Palisades and Altadena?

I thought I saw a link here a few days ago to an article that laid out how leftists, in their current state, deny their tenets and at the core, don't really believe all the lies they promote about equity, diversity, and inclusion. All I found was this, but I thought it went into greater depth. The link was in the comments, IIRC.
Having had had a surfeit of exposure to the Gav-man during covid, I had hopes that his idiocy and mendacity would be exposed under the national spotlight he desires.

I had to scroll through the whole thread to find one post about the 2nd order effects. Ragging on Gavin Newsome is boring. He is obviously dishonest and positioning himself to be the leader of the "New" Democrat party. Tulsi gabbard is more likely to take that position but I digress.
When you see Gavin Newsom, someone who has no soul or any other goal than political power, switch gears like this he is preparing for what happens in a year. Gavin Newsom is betting on the strong horse right now.
This is a Preference Cascade in effect. In a year there is going to be humiliation and jail sentences. The midterms are going to be historic. If they pass any sort of election reform they will be biblical. It will be a massive shift off the mean in 2026.
No party can stay popular like that for long and the Republican Party will be no exception. Party popularity naturally falls the longer it is in power. There will be a democrat "resurgence" in 2028. Republicans will still have massive majorities. If the wrong Republican wins in 2028 it will be George Bush all over again.
Gavin Newsom is just trying to be in position to lead that resurgence. If he is smart he is looking at 2032 by which time Latinx will be distant history.

In a year there will be a "DOGE Dividend." This might be the single most popular government action in history with the possible exception of bombing Iraq for fun and profit.
Cutting government waste and giving it back to people who don't pay taxes will probably poll at 93% or whatever % of people who don't work for a University/Government/Public School is.
So a lot of people who suck with money are going to get a big fat check. A fair percentage are going to try to be smart with their money for the first time and invest it in stocks. Most of these people are working class and guess what publicly traded stock is associated with the person who is currently polling around 60% and will in a year be hanging out around 80% approval. In a year millions of people will buy their first stock with free money and most of those people will buy the green candle.
Previously TSLA was in the portfolios of tech nerds who wanted to save the planet. They are divesting their holdings. Right now TSLA is down 50% in the last 4 months for no good reason. Sales are still good and Musk Industries have full government support for an administration that with a successor has at least 7 years left in power. The CEO of TSLA doesn't care about fluctuations in the stock price and focuses on the fundamentals. Risks are very low.
This is the easiest call on a stock in a long time.
