"Musk is notorious for sharing edgelord memes on X, the kinds of things that might be passed around by teenage boys."

"He also has a remarkably juvenile sense of humor. For example, he edited the X bio of the Canadian Broadcast Corporation to say it is 69 percent government-funded (69, get it?). He recently changed his name on the same platform to 'Harry Bolz.' His Department of Government Efficiency is itself named after an internet meme about a shiba inu. He proposed 'a literal dick-measuring contest' with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. He bought Twitter and turned it into X after being annoyed by its moderation policies, which he compared to censorship, but once in charge, he experienced serial emotional meltdowns over content he didn’t like, some of which he then censored. He has gone on sprees of banning accounts that offended him in some way, while allowing white supremacists and Nazis to proliferate on the site. He often communicates on X using video-game jargon, the lingua franca of teenage boys...."

Writes Jill Filipovic, in "The Adolescent Style in American Politics/The version of manhood placed on display by Trump and his aides is the one imagined by teenage boys" (The Atlantic).

Another attack on Musk. Pick a target, freeze it, attack it, said Alinsky in famous "Rules for Radicals". Good the MSM of following the playbook. Out of all the media outlets in the USA, I can think of only 3 that are not hammering Musk 24/7 with almost the same attacks, WSJ, the NY Post and Fox News.

A Journalist (cough) should know the difference between government insisting on censorship (laughing at the equivocation 'compared to censorship' -- No, it was actual, honest-to-God censorship! Does Jill recall Hunter's laptop?) v. a private individual deciding what is best for their company.

I think we've all long noticed that most techies are, in many ways, still teenaged boys. You can listen to the All-In Podcast regularly and you'll know those guys are like boys when it comes to some of their stuff (any more Uranus jokes, guys?). But we see it throughout the tech world. It's almost weird to see someone in that world who is fully mature in all ways. And sociable in a normal way.
In my own life I have a techie friend who recently took his kids to Disney World in Orlando. Telling me about it later, I swear it sounded as if he had the time of his life hanging out with Star Wars characters, with barely a mention of his kids.

So...yeah...Elon is full-on techie. And he's also abnormal when it comes to social interaction. That, too, is normal for the techie. But Musk has spent so much time in the public light, though his approach to social interaction is not normal, it is true to who he is. He is NOT evil. He's just the most productive and wealthy man on the planet. And it takes hard work to relate to regular people.

This woman is projecting. Her husband (like Elon Musk) is probably some sort of emotionally immature jerk who engages in dumb*ss childlike behaviors that she no longer finds endearing.

So, what's wrong with teenaged boys now.
If Musk displayed effeminate gestures, would the Atlantic be writing think pieces about it? But, teenaged masculine, the humanity, the horror... and the galls.

Musk is like a engineering version of Greta Thunberg. How dare they slut-shame Elon for his spectral quirks. And another thing, slandering teenage boys by characterizing an entire protected class as the bad apple minority. Temu is right, it's a tech thing

It's true. Elon's sense of humor is exceptionally juvenile. It's right in line with the coderboi culture he grew up in.

Elon also does nine impossible things before breakfast. He's got a paralytic operating a computer with his mind. His rocket launches cost 10% of what other rockets cost. He catches boosters with chopsticks. He started a car company and a rocket company, two endeavors that shouldn't have worked at all.

He's exposing the dark money machinations that have been going on in government for decades, and cutting their frivolous waste, all by returning to first principles, which is his superpower.

So he posts dank memes. So what?

I'll take Elon over our "sophisticated betters" posting fetish obsessions in their chat rooms.

All day, every day.

Jill Whatever at Atlantic. Expert on “manhood.” LOL! The leftmediaswine exploit foibles attributable to Musk’s reputed autism. Of course they have reasons. Despicable people always have reasons justifying their despicable behavior. I learned this during my first year as a prosecutor.

Now we need to see the reverse angle shot. Tell us more about Laurene Jobs and the magazine she bought. Wikipedia will provide a few bullet points to get you started:

• In the 2016 U.S. presidential election, Powell Jobs donated $2 million to Hillary Clinton and raised a further $4 million for her.

• Powell Jobs's philanthropy has been described as of limited "transparency and accountability." In 2019, Powell Jobs was designated the "Least Transparent Mega-Giver" by Inside Philanthropy.

• In 2025, she visited India for Maha Kumbh Mela 2025. During her visit, she adopted the Hindu name “Kamala” and participated in the traditional Kalpavas ritual, which includes daily baths in sacred rivers, meditation, and a strict vegetarian diet.

• In October 1989, Steve Jobs gave a "View from the Top" lecture at Stanford Business School. Laurene Powell was a new MBA student and started up a conversation with Jobs, who was seated next to her. They subsequently had dinner together that night.

Grrrrrl Power!

Apparently adolescent humor can be found among the sub-heading writers at the New York Times, too.

Filipovic is reliably childish in her reaction. If Musk was saying things she agreed with, she'd be talking about how in tune he is with youth culture and the online zeitgeist. But he says things she doesn't like so she hurls insults. Really pathetic. And, for her, predictable.

I see this from leftists all the time, but I'm on X every day and I never see any content even approaching that. Of course I confine myself to the "Following" feed and not the crazy "For You" feed but even when I've been there I don't see that crap.

My conclusion is that Leftists seek out that Nazi content, wallow in it, then convince themselves it's important in general because it's important to them. I view with suspicion any "journalist" or "columnist" who dwells on such fringe issues in order to smear somebody. And not the old "smear by association" because Filipovic has no evidence Musk associates with Nazis, but just smear by mention. Since so many lefties have been caught creating sock-puppets in order to then "report" on their existence on X, I believe there's an open case now that Musk will win in the regard, my new standard policy is to reject any writer who uses such lowball BS techniques, from the smear to the setup. Just degrees of difference.

Well, one could take the view that the complete abduration of traditional masculine traits from the public and private spheres might have had something to do with Musk and his generation's education.
