What horrible music. All the riots from Jan 2017 to November 2020 against Trump were presented as "mostly peaceful" and expressions of "the right to assembly and protest". Then came J6 - which was so different. It was a "deadly insurrection".
I just read the new on mitch mcconnell, it seems he agreed with Liz Cheney and wanted to Convict Trump and remove him from office for J6, but decided to vote "Not Guilty" because he was afraid a vote against Trump would damage his re-election chances and cost Republicans in the 2022 mid-terms.
McConnell and Ryan were Trump secret and deadly enemies from Day 1.
In the book which quotes interviews with mcconnell, mitch hilariously says "Trump had no agenda". Which is more true of GOPe and Mitch. The GOPe agenda was help the Democrats maintain the status quo and cut taxes. That's why Mitch was so happy when biden got elected.

My feeling about "taking it to the streets" is that, if you can take it to the streets and win something meaningful, at low cost, and that you get to keep, why wouldn't you take it the streets? Susan Glasser, Derve and his millions of dervish followers should do the smartest thing they can think of. I don't know what they will decide to do, and I don't know what the outcome will be.

As I pointed out to my wifes friends. When all the major news outlets and the courts and the bureaucracy are behind you , you aren't the resistance.

It's amazing the quality of insights that you can get by listening carefully to their accusations. Like the shrink likes to say "You spot it, you got it!" or the kids "He who smelt it, dealt it." The EU accuse Russia of being a "managed democracy," which is what Europe has become. Austin Bay accused China of fighting a "disintegrative war" and that made me think, who is trying to break Taiwan off from China and the Muslim regions off of China... What country looks at rival or target countries with ethnic differences and uses those differences to try to split and control the smaller pieces? The US is very good at spotting "disintegrative warfare" yet no foreign power is trying to split the US. If China was like the US, it would be working on Hawaii right now. Well, I did see some video of USAID parasites leaving the building with their boxes of personal possessions, being cheered by a (small) bunch of idiots on the sidewalk (mostly poorly-dressed, elderly women), holding "Thank you USAID" posters (hand-lettered). The parasites seemed a bit sheepish about the whole thing. I suppose it is a bit disarming, to realize that the people you have been robbing blind for years are so sad and poor and clueless. These are the worn-out widows on Social Security who have been paying for your Caribbean vacations, your three-bottle restaurant dinners, your Tesla, your fancy apartment, your millions for transgender clinics in India. They came to thank you, for your "service". They look like your Mom, you dirty rat.

I worried right after the election that AntiFA, et al, would reappear, riot, and cause havoc across the Blue and Purple portions of this country. So, I had AR-15s and body armor, so that we could drive from Vegas to Utah, less than 100 miles away. Turns out that it wasn’t necessary. Thankfully. We were getting protests every week or so, but with maybe only 5% of the expected protesters actually showing up. Mostly older pink haired harridans and soi boys. LVMPD is inevitably out in force, and apparently haven’t had to arrest anyone yet.
And now, it’s probably too late. With Bondi and Patel confirmed, and Bongino picked as FBI DD, AntiFA seriously rioting can expect to be declared a terrorist group, risking a trip to Guantanamo if caught engaging in violence. This time around, I don’t expect organized rioting during Trump’s 2nd term, among other things, I would expect RICO prosecutions of the participants- and their founders. That’s what RICO was designed to address, and not former Presidents and his supporters, protesting a rigged election.
