"Actress Cynthia Nixon has revealed that her son, her sister's kids and her best friend's kid are all proudly trans during a protest in New York City.
Nixon joined the hundreds of demonstrators that took to the streets of Manhattan on Monday to protest NYU-Langone after the hospital cancelled at least two children's appointments to receive puberty blockers following President Trump's Trans Care executive order.
The former Sex and the City star, 58, took the mic at the Pro-Trans Children protest to speak about the order and how it 'cannot happen in New York.'
'Most importantly, I am here today as the mother of a proud trans man,' Nixon said as the packed crowd in St. Vartan park roared.
'I am here today as the aunt of a proud trans man,' she continued. 'My best friend's kid is trans and my kid's best friend is trans.'
'My wife and I - our lives are filled with the most amazing, beautiful, brave trans people - young and old, but especially young.'

How many times do you to be told that the blogging software is defective and randomly deletes comments after they've appeared? It has nothing to do with the quality or political leanings of the comment: it's happened to me at least a dozen times, and the comments had nothing in them that would have attracted censorship. In fact, they had nothing in common except authorship and being deleted. It happens to the best of us, so if it happens to you, too, there's no reason to complain.
I've sent an email like this to the birth recording agencies around DC & NYC. I'm a freelance reporter working on a story about USA birthright citizenship. There is a great deal of confusion and disagreement about what the 14th Amendments phrase "and subject to the jurisdiction thereof" means. One aspect of this discussion that everyone seems to agree on is that the term "jurisdiction" was carefully chosen to intentionally exclude USA-born children of foreign diplomats. During their assignments in Washington, DC, many diplomats live in Maryland. Some of those diplomats have children during those assignments, and some of those children are born in Calvert County. So it would seem probable that your agency must routinely record births of USA-born children of foreign diplomats. Obtaining most USA identity documents, such as passports, driver's license and so forth, only requires presentation of a valid USA birth certificate. My question is: What techniques, procedures, policies and/or recommendations does your office use to ensure that the birth records of USA-born children of foreign diplomats establish that they are not eligible for USA citizenship?
She said he was the most unintelligent billionaire she'd ever seen. So here you have a thousandaire calling a the world's richest billionaire unintelligent. Okey-dokey!
On X now, I read that the CIA offered its entire workforce a buyout option. Thats a big deal I think. Cause: Rubbish communication from tower. Instead of Pass behind the CRJ, the call from Tower to the Apache should have been: "Maintain H1 at or below 200', traffic is a CRJ on a five mile left base to runway 33".
Separation between H1 and RWY 01/33 approach courses is procedural, the helo's primary tasks were to remain on the east side of the Potomac and below 200', *not* visually acquiring the CRJ.
Had Tower correctly described the CRJ's position with respect to the runway, the helo crew would have immediately ascertained that they and the CRJ would cross paths, because the CRJ's distance from H1/RWY 33 final approach course was about the same as the helo's. The CRJ is off the hook here, because clearance for the approach means there is nothing between the CRJ and the runway.
Contributory factor: Apache crew failed to adequately monitor and control helo's flight path. Contributory because Tower's incorrect direction distracted the helo crew's attention from procedural adherence to visual acquisition.
(Contributory) FAA failure to adhere to TERPS criteria. TERPS are the standards that apply to approach and departure criteria. Roughly guesstimating, at the point of impact, the *floor* of the approach corridor to RWY33 was roughly 300' — the floor being the shallowest glidepath that would be within stabilized approach criteria. The floor is a trapezoid with its narrowest and lowest edge being at the approach end of the runway, and the widest, highest edge at five miles (depending on things) and 1200' above runway elevation (depending on things). The slope of the floor is ~2.25º, compared to, desired 3.00 glidepath.
The vertical separation between the top of H1 and the TERPS approach floor was somewhere between 100 and 150'. My knowledge of TERPS is conceptual, at best, but 100-150' sounds like an exception to TERPS. If I am correct, adhering to TERPS would have required either eliminating H1, or adding a restriction: H1 N/A when DCA landing 01/33.. That Tower directed the Apache to pass behind the CRJ meant either ignorance of procedural separation, or accepting that it wasn't adequate.
Causal: Normalization of Deviation. There had been prior instances of path crossings at unusually close vertical separation without adverse consequences, so airspace managers and helo pilots became inured, abnd tower controllers would issue instructions inconsistent with procedural separation. (Airline pilots would not have been aware of H1.)
The CRJ and Apache crews will be found to be both current and qualified. DIE, while contributing to FAA manning issues, will not be relevant, because Tower manning didn't prevent the controller from making the situationally correct radio call.
Whenever I read one of Dinky’s posts, I imagine the photoshopped picture of Kamala’s post-election speech with the mostly consumed bottle of alcohol in one hand.
Now there’s a buyout offer to the CIA. Do any of you think these moves are all done on the fly? This is a well planed choreographed attempt to reign in the deep state. I don’t know if it will succeed but nothing that has occurred since at least March of last year is accidental. A lot of the grunt work was done years before. This put’s President Trump’s urgent message of “Fight. Fight. Fight.” in a bit of a different light. It was not only a message to us the electorate, it was also a message to all of those who had prepared so diligently for his second term. BTW, as a side note, Piers Morgan asked him why he got up and spoke after he had been shot. (I’m paraphrasing) He said he knew that if he didn’t get up immediately and address the folks there, he wouldn’t ever be able to face a crowd again. Extraordinary bravery. Back to my main point, all this time we thought this was a personal battle, this has always been an effort to free us of the deep state.
I would say Dinky is perfectly representative of the modern Democrat. And so, not necessarily drunk and, by weight of numbers, not actually insane. Just a more verbose Bob Cook or Inga.
FBI agents are suing to prevent the release of the names of almost 5000 FBI agents that worked on locking up J6ers. As usual, they're claiming the FBI work is super sensitive, and super secret, and the poor little dears might be put "at risk" if the USA Public knows who they are.
Look for some Leftwing BIden Judge to agree with them.
As far as I know, NYC police detectives get to keep their names "secret", and nor do most police detectives in other cities. Why the FBI would different, i don't know. But the American people accepted 20,000 national guard troops showing up in DC in Jan 2021 to protect Joe Biden from a phantom threat, so hey, why not use that excuse again. It worked before!
So, do the 20 something’s know JCL, ISAM, COBOL, VSAM? I think they have to be looking at report files and not code. Everyone maintaining govt systems has to be approaching retirement.
The ATC advised PAT25 that the CRJ was passing over the Woodrow Wilson Bridge over the Potomac on the south side of Alexandria and south of DCA. The crew acknowledged the sighting but their night glasses may have impeded their view. If so, they likely were watching an AA Airbus instead that followed the CRJ upriver. As the colliding aircraft got closer together the ATC ordered the Black Hawk to pass behind the CRJ. Also, the collision occurred at an altitude above 300 feet when the turn into Rnwy 33 was made and the military route was set at 200 feet which is unexplainable unless the instrumentation on the Black Hawk was registering wrong or the Sikorski pilot made an error.
If the Blackhawk had maintained 200 ft the incident would have still been a near miss and reportable. A 150’ separation at a combined closing speed in excess 300 mph is too damned close.
Maybe if there had been two controllers in the tower the one handling the helicopter could have screamed into the mike “You are on a collision course with a passenger jet! Turn left and get your ass down on the ground now!”
Read the whole thing. It will make you sick to your stomach. THIS is tyranny.
“When I asked about my 6th Amendment right to a speedy trial, I was advised by Federal Court Judge Randolph D. Moss that the Sixth Amendment had been suspended due to Covid-19 and the large number of arrest made from the January 6th incident.”

Let the RIOTS begin, because we all know they are coming back. But it WILL be different this time, and I doubt if they crying Progressives will like it very much. Payback IS a bitch afterall.

Drones. Biden enacted a bunch of new rules for drones such as self-ID and Congress has tried to ban Chinese drones. They have 1,000x the potential of any rifle. Reconnaissance from miles away. Payload delivery from miles away.
I doubt it'll result in the complete destruction of NGOs, as lobbyists and NGOs blur together. Those who seek influence and recognition will continue to invest some of their own money. DC is a relatively small city to have so many luxury dining options, but lobbyists and diplomats have adequate expense accounts. However, the NGOs that got used to skimming $200K off the top of federal grants for executive salaries may be left high and dry.
I'm convinced that a backroom effort began with Musk's purchase of Twitter. His businesses have close government ties, and his first act was to release dirt on the Biden administration's censorship and COVID actions. There must have been a lot of work behind the scenes to bring the billionaires club on stage at Trump 47's inauguration too -- Apple, Amazon, Meta, Alphabet (Google) beyond Musk.
The anti-Biden, anti-crazy-deep-state oligarchs have said enough is enough. Trump 47's execution has been extremely well planned, and this is the polar opposite of Trump 45. He's had lots of help.
@WK: Doesn't matter. The old systems are so dated and incompatible that hand data processing (i.e., lots of bodies and often basic Excel) are required in many, many situations.
One question is did the Blackhawk know they were too high, the other is did the ATC? Looks like the tower would have software alerts to tell them when a helo exceeded 200 ft around the airport. The helo was traveling over 100 knots, so they closed quickly. Someone needs to do a video simulation from the helo's perspective to see if the CRJ was easily visible and if the plane following was.
Maybe Trump et al are asking for the names of all the agents and AUSAs who worked on J6 so that they can task the exact same people to work on J6. But this time, to investigate the investigation. This way, no one can claim Trump is wasting resources. "Hey, these people were doing nothing but J6 for the last four years. They're still doing nothing but J6."
Alternatively, he can just use the number as a headcount, and task the same amount of different people to investigate J6, while reassigning the original J6 agents and prosecutors to, I dunno, DC street crime. He would still have the financial counterargument, and get a much better product.
On the one hand, what is going on with the USAID revelations seems incredibly reckless, but on the other hand, it was being used as a slush fund to fund Democratic Party priorities, including payoffs to propaganda shills like Bill Kristol, whose sudden shift in party allegiance, and likely the same with a lot of other "Never Trumpers" suddenly makes a lot more sense. He was getting rich off of it. I wonder if The Bulwark gets any money from the Federal Government?
What Big Mike said. I've read a couple of different things but IIRC correctly the controller handling the helicopters was also handling runway 33 landings and runway 1 takeoffs and may have been picking up the landing of the CRJ (I've read that it was redirected to runway 33 off its original approach path). I suspect the controller was expecting the helicopter to keep visual separation because he was too busy to focus long enough on the radar to give the Blackhawk positive instructions, and if they stayed to their approved path and altitude they wouldn't have been needed. If there had been even one or two more controllers on duty so there could have been a dedicated controller for helicopter traffic it's likely (though of course not certain) that either aircraft could have been warned off the collision course they were on. Why was DCA control at less than 2/3 staffing? Likely because the FAA was juicing their DIE (sic) numbers by not hiring white males.
That's what the headlines say but it's not accurate. The *DOJ* wanted the FBI (they eventually coughed them up) to give them the names of resources assigned to J6 work. There was, to my knowledge, never any indication that the names would be made public. This is just Trump's DOJ trying to regain control over a rouge group, like State and USAID.
Billionaires are not stupid. They saw coordinated and false anti-Trump lawfare dating from 2016, and they saw how even the "Empire State" of New York and "business friendly" Delaware made up laws and rules to go after Trump and Musk. Trump is a tiny billionaire relative to Musk and others, but they are all understand bad and hostile governments.
Biden's team was as obviously corrupt as the Communist party during the Brezhnev-era USSR, and the USSR collapsed only about 10 years after he died. Billionaires don't want to lose control over the conditions that made them rich.
Twitter: Musk employs literal rocket scientists through his various companies. He has an incredible bench of talent (and likely many with security clearances per SpaceX and StarLink). Government tech employees are often very good at their work, but rarely in the same class as the top private industry tech people.
Trump's an idiot. I put the odds at about 50% that Netanyahu has him smoked now. Any time you lay down a "red line" and say what you are going to do if it's crossed, you are really saying "If you want me to do X, just do Y," and a lot of dangerous people may very well want "X" to happen in a very bad way.
BTW, Biden was worse, and leaving our government in the hands of whoever was pulling his strings, which is what we would have gotten with Kamala, would have been worse.
My lay opinion is that expecting a controller who is placed in a position of doing two people's jobs to perform perfectly is a little too much. I still put a fair share of the blame, and there is plenty to go around, on the supervisor who let his coworker leave early.
Those who love big government want an 'official' way to direct work to what they cannot legally execute inside government, and a way to legally pass gifts/rewards/bribes to their friends and associates. The NGOs sometimes have transparent ideological missions, are sometimes shell companies, and sometimes a bunch of incompetent people who'd otherwise be gas station clerks.
The neocons *love* red lines, they get little boners every time one is laid down. It's the same in Ukraine. Zelensky wants NATO troops as "peacekeepers" and you know very well that he is thinking, "as soon as we are ready, a little 'incident' will happen, and it will trigger Article 5."
History books are fascinating, to understand how world leaders and players on the "Grand Chessboard" play, you have to understand that they think of it as a game, and a million dead is just a statistics. We always talk about Stalin saying that, and he was murderous fiend, but Madeline Albright also said that half a million dead Iraqi civilians was not too high a price to pay to get rid of Saddam.

But the American people accepted 20,000 national guard troops showing up in DC in Jan 2021 to protect Joe Biden from a phantom threat, so hey, why not use that excuse again. It worked before!
Marc Andreessen had an amusing tweet about how the NYT once had a very different view of 20-somethings showing up in DC to do important work:
"I'm so old, I remember when bright young people serving our nation in her capital was thrilling and inspiring."
The tweet included some screenshots and quotes from an NYT Magazine article titled "All the Obama 20-Somethings".
"FBI agents are suing to prevent the release of the names of almost 5000 FBI agents that worked on locking up J6ers."
5,000 is a mind-boggling number. Were there any agents left to do anything else?
So, do the 20 something’s know JCL, ISAM, COBOL, VSAM? I think they have to be looking at report files and not code. Everyone maintaining govt systems has to be approaching retirement.

Old news since Kayne West's wife already did this at the Grammys. If you search there are unblurred photos.

"I've never seen Dave Begley complaining about a single comment that he's posted getting deleted."
He's smarter than that. He understands what's going on and doesn't bitch about it.
Her work as a bartender prepared her for Progressive Mensa. Just when you think she can't say anything dumber....she surprises us, yet again.

"My home has now been searched 7 times in 4 years. It's been searched by the FBI, the Federal Marshalls, the DOJ, and Federal Probation several times. Everyone always come wearing SWAT vests and heavily armed even though the only crime I've ever been accused of is illegally walking on the grass."
Let the RIOTS begin, because we all know they are coming back. But it WILL be different this time, and I doubt if they crying Progressives will like it very much. Payback IS a bitch afterall.

@Dixcus -- Maybe you are being targeted by the Crack Emcee. He knows when you've been naughty and he knows when you've been nice.
Drones. Biden enacted a bunch of new rules for drones such as self-ID and Congress has tried to ban Chinese drones. They have 1,000x the potential of any rifle. Reconnaissance from miles away. Payload delivery from miles away.
Cat sometimes bite and claw their human, but they still depend on their human to survive. Cats will never understand.
Haven’t scene so many large chins since Leno went off the air.
@Original Mike: That's from about 35K -- 1 in 7 agents were targeting the J6ers.
@WK: Doesn't matter. The old systems are so dated and incompatible that hand data processing (i.e., lots of bodies and often basic Excel) are required in many, many situations.
There are approximately 1.5 million NGO's in the USA, Hell, there are over 34,000 NGO's in Ireland! These things are a plague.
Call them “shell companies” and it all makes sense.
@ NorthOfTheOneOhOne AOC has been in Congress for a few years now. She's probably grafted her first million by now.

@Enigma: I had forgotten about Twitter. Maybe it was 2 parallel streams that merged at some point.
Not Elon's crew. It was the DOJ working to regain control of the FBI.
Attention whores attention whoring.

COBOL isn't that hard.
Most likely they didn’t realize they were too high - it only takes a few seconds of being distracted to gain or lose 100’
Most likely they didn’t realize they were too high - it only takes a few seconds of being distracted to gain or lose 100’
That’s where Hunter missed the boat. He should have called his shell companies NGO’s.
Why did I just get a flashback to BHO’s famous red line right here.
