Best President of my lifetime. Reagan is second, but well back in his dust. He will be legendary by the end of his second term.

Using the power of your government position to deny help to disaster victims because of their political leanings is evil.

Stark contrast. Trump sets the bar going forward.

Who sent the military helicopter to the private aid staging area? They deserve a stoning

I hope he met with the families privately, away from the cameras.

He usually does.

No wonder “The Apprentice” was such a hit.

I'm impressed with the private helicopter crews who bootstrapped the immediate response. IIRC it was NASCAR team owners who pitched in with fuel, machines and logistics. Veterans figuring it out, Real Americans.

Trump, in a news conference prior to his visit, said he thinks FEMA should be either completely reformed, or done away with... says he would rather deal directly with the state in emergencies. sounds good, if you have a decent governor, but what about newsom or some other retard who will piss the money away
Still, nice to know someone gives a damn, especially after biden and harris, ignoring those poor people since Sept-because they are mostly rural and republican.
havent heard from the dedicated leftists on this blog, as to why it's ok to say FU to American citizens, while giving billions to illegals and to Ukraine.
Can't remember a week when republicans have kicked the ass of every leftist they come in contact with. hope it continues. the people responsible for the disaster in the Carolinas , like biden, shumer and pelosi should be bitched slapped.

Pournelle's Iron Law of Bureaucracy:

"In any bureaucracy, the people devoted to the benefit of the bureaucracy itself always get in control and those dedicated to the goals the bureaucracy is supposed to accomplish have less and less influence, and sometimes are eliminated entirely."

Biden and his horrid handlers don't care about ordinary Americans.
They only care about power, loyalty, money and lies to benefit those 3 things.

You mean like skipping over people because they have trump signs.

Samaritan's Purse was also first on the scene in Maui. I strongly urge everyone to contribute to them in preference to the Red Cross, which IMHO has gotten sclerotic in its old age.

FEMA should be top priority for DOGE chopping

Later today, Trump wemt to LA and inter alia did a roundtable with Bass, Issa, and other local pols of both parties, He ran it as an actual unscripted discussion, with disagreement allowed but with himself clearly in charge. Not only can’t I imagine Biden doing that - i have never seen any president do that. Even Clinton, who in spite of all his other problems is a black belt debater, never dared to have a true on-camera roundtable.

Amazing how much can get done by a leader who isnt afraid to ask “why the hell should I do that?”

It's very On Brand for communists/socialists/Party members to ethnic cleanse a population under their control.

These hostage deals are exactly why the IDF should just kill Hamas terrorists rather than capture them.

I imagine that after all possible hostage releases are confirmed, Hamas will quickly cease to exist.

The problem is that most states do not have the funds to deal with massively destructive natural events, (hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, massive firestorms, etc.). The funding needed to address the aftereffects of such calamities can only be met from the federal level, with federal funds. This is just Trump shrugging off responsibility for addressing problems and simultaneously blaming anyone and everyone (other than himself) for the problems at hand.

Look what a capable governor like DeSantis was able to do during various hurricanes with local resources and federal funding. He did not wait for the Feds to get their heads out he just did the job.

F*** Fema. Punch those hurricanes in the f****** face!

Robert. You might have missed the part where FEMA completely dropped the ball concerning N. Carolina. They did hoever reserve the best hotel rooms in the least affected cities.
When government fails to those thing we specifically pay them to do don't come arpound fellating the government that has failed.

Arlo Guthrie's Alice's Restaurant Massacree continued:

They got a building down New York City, it's called Whitehall Street,
where you walk in, you get injected, inspected, detected, infected,
neglected, and selected. I went down to get my physical examination one
day, and I walked in, I sat down and got good and drunk the night before, so
I looked and felt my best when I went in that morning. 'Cause I wanted to
look like the all-American kid from New York City, man I wanted, I wanted
to feel like the all . . ; I wanted to be the all-American kid from New York,
and I walked in, sat down, I was hung down, brung down, hung up, and all
kinds o' mean nasty ugly things. And I walked in and sat down and they gave
me a piece of paper, said, "Kid, see the psychiatrist, room 604."

And I went up there, I said, "Shrink, I want to kill. I mean, I wanna, I
wanna kill. Kill. I wanna, I wanna see, I wanna see blood and gore and
guts and veins in my teeth. Eat dead burnt bodies. I mean kill, Kill,
KILL, KILL." And I started jumpin up and down yelling, "KILL, KILL," and
he started jumpin up and down with me and we was both jumping up and down
yelling, "KILL, KILL." And the sergeant came over, pinned a medal on me,
sent me down the hall, said, "You're our boy." Didn't feel too good about it.
