Judge Merchan and Judge Cannon respond to Trump requests.

Merchan says no: "N.Y. judge denies Trump effort to block sentencing in hush money case/Lawyers for Donald Trump asked a New York judge to stop Trump’s sentencing scheduled for Friday on his convictions for falsifying business documents" (WaPo).

Cannon says yes: "Cannon temporarily blocks report on Trump classified-documents probe/Two Trump employees charged alongside him in the classified documents case separately asked Judge Aileen Cannon to block the release" (WaPo).

I think the NY appeals court is hearing Trump's appeal of the Judge Merchan case today (at least the requested stay of sentencing)

Trump’s demand that Smith’s report be suppressed is a useful reminder that he really hates truthful accounts of January 6th, even if—especially if—they are based on testimony under oath from many different individuals, including many who worked for him.

Where is the truthful account?? So far, all we know is that the FBI, Nancy Pelosi and the media lied to us.

That opens the authors to lawsuits for defamation.

What's the January 6 connection?

The mendacity and corruption of the Biden DOJ knows no bounds. It will be interesting to see how the Biden white house concocted much of this lawfare against Trump during the last 4 years. You would have thought they wanted to lay low and skulk into anonymity after their campaign against Trump failed but you would be wrong.

The Trump sentencing: Curtain to fall on Merchan’s Hamlet on the Hudson

Read every word - It's spot on. Yo - leftists - you might learn something.

Vikkki - you will get your talking point. "He's a felon!" - but that's about it.
Another bullshit disappointment for the corrupt left.

I have been thinking about who Trump should put in charge of unpacking the Biden DOJ years to prosecute those that broke long standing statues and regulations to go after Trump. From the archivists that worked hand and glove to create a phony "stolen document" narrative which was the basis of Jack Smith's bogus case to the coordination with Alvin Bragg and Fauni Willis. We need to have a full investigation into this so future presidencies will think long and hard before they try to lock up their political opposition.

Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) severally overplayed their January 6 hand and lost, yet they still seem to believe if they just keep talking about it that will change. The majority of voters didn't buy it and moved on. But whatever. If believing that people need to know more about January 6 makes you feel better, enjoy yourself.

Disinformation bot confuses Trump's request to stop the release of a report related to previously classified documents found at his home and the events of January 6. 2021.

I’ve sad before and I’ll say again. I wouldn’t convict a dog of chasing a cat based on the evidence presented in Merchan’s courtroom.

It is funny to see people with so much vile and hatred that they misstate simple facts such as the proper spelling of a Judge's name. Slow down your hate train if you have any hope of getting others to board it with you, because otherwise your intended destination is confusing.

@Gk1, he’s been dead for a while now but someone like Albert Pierrepoint would do nicely. To those in the DOJ who attempt to defend themselves by saying they were “just doing their jobs,” I would remind them that a lot of Nazis ended their lives by falling through a trap door with a rope around their necks.

Two items I recall from the trial of Trump in front of Merchan. Ms. Clifford gave a narrative of events between her and Trump that did not match previous versions she provided to others. This was something even Bill Maher noted. The other item is that Michael Cohen admitted that by the time he was handling Clifford for Trump; Trump had a low opinion of Cohen and was withholding bonus money Cohen felt entitled. From these two items presented as evidence; I came away with the notion that Cohen and Clifford's conspired to defraud Trump of $130,000, which is similar to what Cohen admitted doing to Trump in the past.

A world where everyone but yourselves are liars. So, don't release that report because it's just a bunch of lies, yup.

Big Mike, GK1,

How about if instead the effort is headed up by some Lt Colonel and his artillery battalion? Quick, efficient, and effective.

Falling through the trap door wasn't in their job description maybe, but everybody subsequently agreed that it looked great on their résumé.

Novel pretenses and selective persecution.

That was pretty good. The Trump guy nailed it.
