"This is civilization ending philosophy where really bad ideas are being smuggled in under the guise of civil rights...."

"So they take a very distorted view of what black is. Black is, you listen to this type of music, you dress in this way, you study these courses, you have these political views, and we have created what a black person is. And if you don't fit into that box, it doesn't, you are not real. This is destroying the identities of hundreds of millions of people who have different ethnicities. They're all black, different cultures, different languages.... We did so much to get rid of stereotypes and now the stereotypes are coming back except now they're coming back as a norm to be enforced rather than something to be laughed at.... So I hate critical race theory...."

Said Kemi Badenoch, in the new episode of the Bari Weiss "Honestly" podcast, "Is Kemi Badenoch the Next Margaret Thatcher?" (transcript and audio here).

Badenoch, who grew up in Nigeria, now leads the Conservative Party in the U.K.

There's also this: "I remember I had a very interesting experience with this woman called Kimberlé Crenshaw, who apparently is, is the queen of this stuff. I had no idea who she was. It was 2018.... I was speaking at a festival... and I just talked about me and I could tell she'd never met anyone like me before.... We were on the panel and she couldn't out black me. I was like, look, I come from like the place where all the black people come from. This is not what we're like. People have different political views, they have different identities. And she was trying to squeeze people into this sort of minority identity. And I kept challenging her. And at the end of it, at the end of the panel, she came over to me and told me that I was disrespectful. And I said, why am I disrespectful? She said, you haven't, you haven't read my books and you shouldn't talk about these things until you've read my books. I thought, what a load of nonsense. You know, you can write a book about astrology, doesn't mean the horoscopes are real. Like just this writing rubbish and thinking that because you've written a book, it's, it's fine."

I listened to half of that podcast yesterday. I thought her assessment of the UK right now was insightful. Her willingness to say what others fear to say is refreshing.

"If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.” - Joe Biden

This is a quote by an old white reconstructionist-reborn 40-year Senator who hobnobbed with an actual Grand Dragon of the Ku Klux Klan for most of his career and attended his funeral.

Fully 80% of black people in the United States voted for him.

I don't want to hear any complaints from black people about who is defining their blackness until they start voting better.

She sounds amazing. I love how she phrased her pushback to a race grifter's insistence that there is only one kind of black identity "she couldn't outblack me." That was and is very powerful.

She's the Leader of the Opposition in the UK. And, given how Keir Starmer's support has imploded, I'm hopeful that she will be the next Prime Minister.

Starmer has to be the worst PM of my lifetime. Even if Kemi is flawed in multiple ways, she's a huge step up in basic principles.

She's English, you're racist, and not very bright.

Critical Racists' Theory

Diversity [dogma] (i.e. color judgment, class bigotry) or class-disordered ideologies

Political congruence ("=")

Sex or sex-correlated gender (i.e. attributes)?

Religion (i.e. behavioral protocol or model) or cult (e.g. directed consensus)? "Secular "?

#HateLovesAbortion and other wicked solutions... a progressive path and slope.

Dave Begley said...

And how about that British accent!

Wince said...

It’d be amazing to see her save Britain from its current suicidal trajectory.

"She's English"

Exactly. Close your eyes and who do you see.

That's one small step for a woman, one giant leap for diversity of individuals, minority of one.

Critical Race Theory: When a leftist party tries to maintain control by buying the votes of hardcore racist conservatives using doublespeak. If one scratches out the CRT label and describes the concepts, they would be rejected as reactionary and ultra-right. But, parties in power do what it takes to stay in power. Power corrupts. The left becomes the right and the right becomes the left.

n.n said...

The governance spectrum is from least to most. The left-right nexus is leftist.

Liberalism is a philosophy of divergence.

Progressivism is a philosophy of [unqualified] monotonic change.

Conservativism is a philosophy of moderation.

Principles matter.

This is such a moronic comment, I want to emphasize how bad this is.

She's not an American and doesn't vote here.

If she was an American and voted here, she would have voted for Trump, obviously.

To reduce her to her skin and to assume she's in the alleged pool of 80% of Harris voters, instead of the alleged 20% of Trump voters, is to engage in racism, straight up.

And you are literally ignoring everything she says!

Including her English accent.

Meanwhile, your candidate, seeped in identity politics, was so thoroughly crushed in the last election, that you feel the need to go underground and pretend to be a Republican racist, and a lynching fan.

You are a Moby Dick, sir.

I like The Free Press. I think Bari Weiss took the red pill. Here's the full interview:

An hour and 20 minutes. Very interesting so far. I'm probably going to watch the whole thing, which is rare for me.

We watched her on Prime Minister’s Questions a couple weeks ago. Keir hasn’t quite yet figured out that he is leading the government and fell into his longtime habit of attacking the Tories for not putting forth a coherent plan to fix the country’s problems.

She responded with “If he would like to see what we would do in office, he should step down and call an election.”

She is really fun to watch.

AMDG said...

I am not sure if she took a red pill. What she took is a truth pill.

She strongly opposes the cult of the narrative which dominates “thinking” on all too much of both the left and the right (but much more on the left). Instead she focuses on searching for the truth.

I am pretty sure that outside of Israel and Wokism/Critcal theories/gender ideology she is a standard Democrat in the mold of Patrick Moynahan.

The Free Press is great. The podcasts that feature Eli Lake are always worthy listens.

Look, the Tories were in charge for 14 years. Who do think implemented all this DEI and censorship in the UK? Who do you think lied to the voters every election, promising to get immigration under control, and then deliberately let in record numbers of migrants?

And yes, isn't it nice their current leader is black woman from Nigeria. But why was she picked? Its not because she's the most talented. Its just more Affirmative action nonsense from the Tories. "Look at us, we're not racist, we have a black female leader". Pathetic.

The Tory party must die, so that England can live.

AMDG said...

RCOCEAN II said...

BTW, people don't seem to understand that the british system is different than ours. The PM is just the first among many. He's not "the boss" as FDR said of the Presidency. The PM can be voted out by the party at any time (ask boris johnson), and the PM can't change the Tory party unless a majority wants to. Plus, cabinet members are also Members of parliment, and usually resign if they dislike what the PM does.

So, I don't think this woman will change anything. The Tories aren't changing. They need to be replaced by Reform.

"Civilization-ending" = Death Cult. She's on the money. But isn't Keir Starmer in office for quite a long time yet, having just been elected? The Brits wanted to penalize the conservatives for (effectively) being a British GOPe, and now they're really stuck themselves with this mad joker.

Her accent is as close to Oxbridge as you can get without becoming obnoxious. She's not a true child of the oppressed. You need a Cockney accent to pull that off......For all I know, the English retain more class prejudices than racial prejudices. They sort of accept that people with Oxbridge accents should be in charge.......I read a biography of the Duke of Wellington. The poor kid was developing an Irish accent and his mother importuned a wealthy relation to get him into Eton before Arthur's pitiable pronunciation declined further. Thank God, she managed to pull it off. England never would have accepted a supreme commander with an Irish accent.

In the movie Green Book, there is a scene where the white driver tells his black employer that he (the driver) is blacker than him.

The black guy was a suave, sophisticated classical pianist who had just finished a performance at a swank country club in the segregated South while the white working class driver had just spent his time shooting craps outside with the black wait staff on break.

Sorry, I listen to the interview and while I found her elocution to be impressive and thoughtful, the substance was pretty thin gruel. On the subject of both the heavy handed policing of “ mean tweets” - jailing literally hundreds for the offense of speaking their minds - as well as the Islamization problem in many areas of Britain making many no go Sharia states and cultural wasteland areas, it was platitudes all the way down. No wonder Farange is eating her lunch on gaining support throughout the ( dwindling) English majority. If you listened to her describe where the bulk of the “immigrants” are coming from, it’s all from the same religious tradition.
If you can’t speak and identify the problem, you certainly can’t fix it. I’ll call her Barack 2, the she/ her version.

No. Cultural relativism is prima facie bullshit. Mark Twain was wrong. Travel IS NOT "fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness". If you've traveled and lived in some of the places I've been, including 2 warzones, you will immediately become prejudiced, bigoted, and narrow-minded in your views of some cultures and 'the way they do things'. There is such a thing as bad culture, violent culture, self-destructive culture, and vice-versa. Same goes for sub-cultures within our own nation.

Bad. Culture. Exists.

I, for one, appreciate with great amusement the revision of the "No True Scotsman" logical fallacy into the "No True Black" logical fallacy. I suppose the Scots, like the rest of the people of pallor, are no longer a disctinct enough national ethnic group to use as a stereotype. Thankfully, idiots can still use skin color as an alternative aggregator for their racist, collectivist, authoritarian argumentation. And when, in 50 years, racial intermarriage has produced enough people of mixed racial heritage to make a new fallacial category necessary, perhaps we can go to the "No True Martian" logical fallacy. I, for one, expect the inhabitants of Mars to be all in favor of the renaming. At least the true Martians.

Bob Boyd said...

"There is such a thing as bad culture, violent culture, self-destructive culture, and vice-versa."

Here is an article by a college professor (ex-military) who came to the same conclusion.

The World's Most Toxic Value System

"The more I travel, study history and read the papers, the more convinced I become of the superiority of rationalism. With that attitude, I should spend all my time traveling to northern Europe and Japan. However, fate has also seen fit to send me to many places where people think with their viscera and gonads instead of their brains. The more I see it in action, the more convinced I become that societies that place personal "honor" before everything else are truly cursed. This value system has ramifications that pervade the societies infested with it. It is, in my view, the most toxic value system on the planet."

Ironclad said...

They didn’t import them into the UK because at that time they had surplus native population and didn’t need extra hands - and labor at home was cheap. They just took them to the malaria infested colonies where ( because they had been exposed at childhood in Africa) they didn’t die off like flies from exposure.

One reason they got “ morals”, didn’t hit them in the pocketbook.
