Rose and Valerie screaming from the gallery say he must go free....

I'm reading "Grinning Luigi Mangione yuks it up in court as he enters plea in execution of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson" (NY Post):
At least two dozen women packed the courtroom for the twisted heartthrob, with just six men watching on....

He was just relieving a "burden". #EquityInclusion

The gallery is filled with empathetic advocates.

The internet on "Beetles fire": Melanophila is a genus of buprestid beetles commonly known as fire beetles. They have extraordinary sensitivity to infrared radiation (heat), using a specialized sensor organ near their legs. They seek out fires in order to mate and lay eggs in freshly burned wood.

It's biological my dear Watson.

The again, the reference is Beatles, as in the rock band.

My ObamaCare monthly payment is $1,400 (this consumes 65% of my Social Security payment as I am not yet eligible for Medicare that I paid for my whole life). There is a $12,000 annual deductible that I have to pay before this insurance policy kicks in. I have cancer and this insurance policy only covers 80% of thee costs I incur at the hospital.

I am financially ruined.

I hope he does walk and finishes his important works.

And how does the murder of Brian Johnson approve your situation?

Be thankful you don’t live in Canada where you receive a visit from a bureaucrat whose job is to sell on the idea that the most effective form of treatment would suicide.

Cute smile. Inmates will find it exciting in prison.

Obamacares, Medicare, Medicaid. Hopefully, Trump will address the causes of progressive health, health care, and prices, and not offer another cover-up with empathetic appeal.

AMDG said...

Trump has promised to not touch Medicare.

n.n said...

Medicare is not the problem, but it has been used as leverage to sustain the problem.

AMDG said...

Medicare, along with Social Security, are, and will be, the primary drivers behind the growth of the national debt. Of course it is a problem.

The problem is that our political leadership refuses to address the situation. They have let a mole on the big toe become full blown Melanoma.

Don't worry Discus. Obamacare reduced your costs by $2,500 per year and gave you exciting new coverage. Plus, I assume, you kept you doctor AND your plan.
One of our kids, at age 34, is being financially drained because his prior coverage was dumped when O-Care began and the alternates are almost as awful as you describe,
Another reason to hate MSM is one almost never hears that O-Care is a key (negative) factor in today's health insurance mess. (Immigration too, of course.)

It seems, so far, that Mangione intends to take this to a trial. We will learn a lot in the coming trial, I suspect, about our viability as a functioning, law-abiding society.

Everybody wants healthcare that is comprehensive, cost effective, and timely. The problem is that, at best, we can only have two of those characteristics. Other systems have cheap healthcare but it is rationed by long wait times or the lack of coverage for treatments.

Why do well off Canadians and Europeans come to the US for treatments?

n.n said...

United Healthcare is affiliated with AARP under the Obamacares umbrella.

He sells shit shows but the rising waters at the seashore where illegal aliens are joyfully deported and the climate changes in a ratified atmosphere.

Social Security, but for progressive prices ("inflation"), is nearly fully funded at current tax rates. Medical has a two-fold problem: price inflation and elective health deficits in the population. Trump should address the former through statutory law enforcement and Kennedy the latter through a review of health care practices and advice.

The problem for single payer advocates is that they are the same people clamoring for open borders. You can't have both.

Oh, and single payer will require either massive new debt, or regressive taxes, even if we draw the line on medical care for the millions who cross our borders. The way they do it in Canada is with regressive taxes.

Jaq said...

You forgot to tell him about the "free condoms."

We won't learn anything that we don't already know.

I was once on a flight to London, and fell ill, and they landed the plane in Canada and took me to the hospital there. The care was pretty good, IMHO. To get home I had to fly to Montreal, and I mentioned to a guy who worked at the airport there that I thought that their health care was pretty good. A vein grew out of his forehead. I distinctly remember it. So I shut up. I was just trying to be friendly.

That’s the link. “The cult leader’s claim that The Beatles’ White Album had included hidden messages inspiring him to kill…”

Single payer will. Ring in euthanasia and significantly higher taxes for all.

Luigi is 'dead man walking'. He will get a needle in the arm or a bag over his head and nitrogen gas... maybe 10.. 20 years from now. Evidence is just so overwhelming. Don't matter if he has these groupies.. his fate is sealed. And good riddance.

Put the people's money to work for the people's benefit, and not for enriching arms makers and peddlers. I've been recommending forever that (at least) 75% of our War Department's bloated and unauditable budget should should be shifted over to Social Security.

It's a start.

Another tangential connection to music comes from the killer’s last name. Luigi Mangione and legendary? trumpet player Chuck Mangione. No relation maybe.

Mangione should immediately plead guilty so he can take advantage of Biden's "Get out of jail -er, death penalty - free" limited-time offer.

"watching on". That really pisses me off. They were "watching". Or they were "looking on", as onlookers will. There are no "onwatchers".
The byline is "By Kyle Schnitzer, Zoe Hussain and Matt Troutman". To give discredit where discredit is due. Would these morons write "Things are watching up!"? Christ, I wouldn't put it past them. It's not even illiteracy, it's some kind of generative stupidity, that makes it possible to get the wrong answer when there was no question.

That really sucks, dixcus. Are you a veteran?

Many vets don't realize they are eligible for top notch medical care even with no service related in but it is fantastic. I ve gotten all my medical care there and local outpatient clinic for 20+ years now. jury.

Under 65 the charge per visit is $50. That's per visit so if you have an xray, see a GP, 2 specialist and a hearing test on the same visit, still $50

Prescription are $8 per month regardless of whether it is 10crnt aspirin or $1000 per dose something else.

When Medicare kicks in, all free. Including Stent placements in a high end cardiac clinic.

Only one I can speak to is San Juan hospital

Jupiter said...

"Hopefully, Trump will address the causes of progressive health, health care, and prices ...". What does that even mean? "The causes of progressive health"? As opposed to the causes of regressive health? I assume you mean that the rent is too damn high. How do you expect Trump, or anyone else, to fix that problem? Capitalism addresses the limited supply of certain goods and services by restricting their consumption to those who can pay. Socialism addresses the same problem by forcibly limiting the price, thus further limiting the supply. Take your pick, you're gonna get one or the other. The necessity of paying for what we consume can be shifted onto others, but it cannot be magically eliminated.

United Healthcare manages corporate policies with Obamacare rules. I've never had a problem with UH, but my company has historically been very good to the employees regarding healthcare. If you have problems with you company insurance, chances are the problem is driven by your HR department.

Well Cook. None of this would be necessary had Lyndon Johnson and the Democrat congress hadn't used the funds to finance the "Great Society".
I've explained this to you before Cook. Congress is constitutionally obligated to "provide for the common defense". You might not like it, but it's our law. Also. The money spent by congress on their continuing resolutions far exceeps what we pay on defense.
Do try and keep up.
