Rep. Moore (D) WI quoted saying about Elon Musk, " very concerned about this non-elected, non-citizen immigrant basically running the presidency."

Original Mike said...

Moore has never been the brightest bulb on the tree.

Who is acting like Biden is currently running the country? Can't make this sh*t up.

Leland said...

What Moore is really saying is that he is against an individual rallying the people to motivate the democratic process to represent the people.

Biocore. I’m using that to describe my lawn from now on. It will drive my son crazy.

" very concerned about this non-elected, non-citizen immigrant basically running the presidency."

Joe Biden is supposedly the president. Perhaps he should address the issue?

The Tablet magazine article Instaspudnik linked to was masterly. I, and I imagine most of us, was long familiar with the bits and pieces, but Samuels ties it together with virtuosity.

Clyde's Top 15 Favorite "New" Songs of 2024 - Part 7 of 16

#10 Old 97's - "Magic" - American Primitive - 2024

On my year-end review from Amazon Music Unlimited, I was informed that I was a top fan of Old 97's, having listened to them for a total of 2,469 minutes in 2024 (Top 0.5% of listeners). There are a lot of great Old 97's albums from previous years, but I also listened to their new album American Primitive quite a bit. There were several songs I liked, but I had to pick one for this list, so I went with "Magic." If you enjoy their music, I recommend the whole album.

Bonus song: Old 97's - "I Don't Know What Christmas Is (But Christmas Time Is Here) - 2022

This is from the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special in 2022. The band is all made up and costumed as aliens for the video. This video probably has more views than any of their other music, which on the one hand is a shame because their music is so good, but on the other hand at least it got them some more exposure. This song was an instant Christmas classic for me.

Has Moore wondered, at all, who’s been running the presidency for the past four years?

Mason G said...

Of course not. It's somebody he'd be expected to support anyway, so why worry about it?

Nice picture, Meade. Great composition.

I really like that pic! Something about the eye moving through all those visual textures is very relaxing, along with all the easy colors.

FYI, Gwen Moore, the representative for Wisconsin's 4th congressional district (Milwaukee), is a woman.

Original Mike said...

Though I don't know her declared pronouns.

Whiskeybum said...

Just to clarify - Moore’s first name is Gwen, as in she is Gwen Moore, from Milwaukee.

Oh, and she is a Democrat party-line hack and dim bulb as previously noted, which is evidenced here with her claim that Musk is not a US citizen, and is running the yet-to-be-attained Trump presidency (part II).

I have not been particularly concerned about this Left Fascist whore's presence in the House, but only because there are 435 of them, and nearly half are slimy cockroaches. I suppose the only way you get rid of 200 cockroaches is one by one.

Jupiter said...

Also, Elon Musk is not only a citizen, he's a US citizen. Not that I would expect a stupid left-fascist whore to know or care anything about that.

Jupiter said...

Pretty funny, really, a left-fascist whore whining about "non-citizen immigrants". You don't like it, vote MAGA, you dizzy twat.

Fair enough. I used "he" in my earlier post because someone else did and it wasn't important enough to me to do a fact check on it. Besides, when it comes to Democrats, how can you ever be sure?

selfanalyst said...

Agree, excellent article.

Jupiter said...

It does speak to Trump's political acumen, that looking upon the bitterly divided electorate he needed to win over to become President, he realized that there was one thing they all had in common.

Jersey Fled said...

Agree. The one thing it didn’t touch on, however, was the willingness the Democrats had to win elections by cheating. Which led to things like open borders, motor voter, and mail in ballots. All were necessary for the Democrats to win.

I wouldn't have looked it up, I just happened to know it. She has a reputation around here.

She's just upset because Trump's billionaire (Musk) has a lot more billions than their billionaire (Soros).

She/Her seems to be avoiding some issues?

She's made it clear in the past that she posts on what interests her. That's not the same as avoiding.

Today Senate Democrats FINALLY passed the clean bill for childhood cancer research that they’ve blocked for NINE MONTHS.

Yes, House Republicans passed it 9 months ago. Now let me explain the evil tactic that Dems used to leverage kids with cancer to get other things they wanted.…

Insurrection Barbie
@DefiyantlyFree
Chuck Schumer sat on a bill to fund cancer research for children for 9 months.

He passed it now because democrats embarrassed the hell out of themselves by pretending Republicans cut this from the CR.

Has anyone in the fake news media called him out on this? Or are they too busy with their heads up the democrats butts?

40% drop in ratings isn’t enough.

There’s a special place in hell for people like Hawaii Senator Brian Schatz, the only Senator whose last name is the past tense of the type of person he is (still, the most accurately named man in the Senate is Dick Drubin), and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts via a mythical Indian reservation controlled by the rich white lady tribe. Both of these sub-humans publicly claimed Republicans had denied funding to fight childhood cancer by rejecting that bill. Schatz tweeted, “F*ck cancer. Especially pediatric cancer. These people want to punish these precious little kids to pay for tax cuts for the wealthiest corporations in human history,” and Warren said Republicans decided “let's get rid of funding for research on pediatric cancer….so that we can make way for tax cuts for billionaires. That is Elon Musk's notion of efficiency.”

Nothing of the sort is true – the funding for pediatric cancer passed the House back in March and was in limbo in the Democrat-controlled Senate ever since.

Progressives are a sick bunch of whacked out violent haters...

"The audience of Saturday Night Live shocked Colin Jost as they burst into cheers at the mere mention of Luigi Mangione.

Jost began his comedic news roundup on SNL's Weekend Update with co-host Michael Che but was stunned by the response when he said the name the UnitedHealthcare CEO's suspected killer.

Within moments of Jost uttering 'Luigi Mangione' and his photo appearing on the screen behind him, the SNL audience erupted into applause and loudly shrieked in delight.
Jost appeared to be caught off-guard and slightly surprised as he looked out at the crowd.

With a hint of confusion, he said: 'Yeah... definitely woo.'

'You're wooing for justice, right?' he said with an awkward laugh."

So it turned out that the pro peace candidate who was looking to win in Romania, before they cancelled the election, and who was banned from the media there, wasn't promoted on TikTok by the Russians, it was by other parties, who thought that he was easiest to beat, setting up a lead pipe cinch run off for the pro war candidate.

The only TV network to criticize cancelling the election was taken off the air. All of this was done in the name of *democracy." Because, you know, like in Georgia, there is no way that a country seeing what happened to Ukraine when it took a pro-EU, pro US, confrontational line with Russia, would think twice about following Ukraine into that hellscape. No, it had to have been Putin!

Anyone else see the Chinese Spacejunk Fireball last night?

I was in the backyard with the dog when I glanced up and saw about six or eight very distinct, bright yellow-orange streaks, moving south to north--they were visible for long enough that I could run to the back door, shout ay my wife to come look, and she had time to run out and see the last of the display. Covered maybe 60* from when I first saw them.

Really cool.

Narr, Chinese Spacejunk Fireball would be a great name for a rock band. Or some concoction being shot up/snorted/smoked in a Hunter S. Thompson book.
