One of the most satisfying aspects of this election is how oblivious most Democrats are to how and why they lost. Racism and misogyny are their hammers and every vote for the other side is a nail. As a normal conservative American I'd be worried if Dems were demonstrating even an ounce of introspection and self-awareness, but so far that doesn't appear to be in their makeup. This means they'll likely continue making the same mistakes, running the same empty suites, and losing future elections.

These are all existential fundamentals and stuff people figure out without a school education or government instructions. So, the power elite either want to miss the point or hate them.

God = A stable global moral framework. Despite many warts and evil interpretations, this viewpoint is far better than not having any framework at all. Contrast God with random Woke fads and recent murder/death cults (e.g., Mao, Pol Pot, Hitler, Stalin, inventing the need for transgender sterilization for medical industry profit and reducing the environmental impact of humans, etc.). Humans will fill a moral vacuum with some sort of religion, so respect it and make the best of it.

Guns = protection against totalitarianism and an indicator of whether average people are vulnerable to rapid eradication by warlords, other tribes, or evil governments. In this era, consider drones and media devices as their equal. Consider how the west shut down Russia's electronic devices and accounts (e.g., Youtube, smartphones for subways, etc.) with the 2022 Ukraine invasion. Consider recent efforts to ban China's DJI drones in the US.

Gays = evolutionary dead ends, economic dead wood, and not relevant to families focused on the next generation. See the four "Fs" of biology. Feeding, Fighting, Fleeing, and Fu...Reproducing. It's not so much hostility as economic reality. Some hate gays but most non-gays don't live that way and simply don't care. They are too busy working to keep the kids alive.

Like QAnon a couple of years ago, and Project 2025 that came next, both of which I never heard any conservative friend or relative talking about, I've never heard one conservative friend of mine say it's all about Guns, God, and Gays. It seems the left finds a boogie man, gets their teeth into it, and never let's go. Never. Not once have I heard anyone in my lift talk about any of these things in this way. I could ask my gay friends and relatives who voted for Trump to find out what they think, but...it just never came up.

Here is what I've seen the Left learning from this past week: Bupkis.

Guns: After what happened on Oct 7th - law abiding citizens are not giving up their right to self defense, as written in the US Constitution.
God: The left hate it when they are supplanted by God. They demand that role.
Gays: Most conservatives and right-leaning folks have no problem with gays, as we have gay friends. We DO have a problem with Tran-sexuals competing in women/girls sports - and these same trans (still men!) removing our right to privacy in the women's locker room.
We really detest the sexualization of children under the corrupt left’s guise and beat-down of “inclusion” (and lies of book banning) – all while the left horrible things to our kids. Including but not limited to – homosexual and other sexual books in the grade school library.
We are also not keen on using taxpayer dollars to give male prison inmates free sex changes.

Pelosi, and the Ds in general, are misreading the election results. Ds continue to implement policies without considering the effects. They essentially mandate EVs, without considering that buyers don’t want to be told what they can drive, then when the buyers rebel and vote them out of office they blame the voters. The Ds are particularly tone deaf in recognizing that voters will respond to laws they don’t like. The Ds have missed the “cause and effect” aspects of legislation. Until they change, they will continue to lose.

Pelosi denies a woman's capacity to choose [sex]. With Democratic legalization of queer sexual orientations: incest, pedophilia, casting couches, neighbors with "benefits", sadomasochism, illegal aliens at the border and in Democratic districts, males who identify as the feminine gender in women's spaces, faces, there is a religious imperative to support planned parenthood the wicked solution.

That said, human rites are exercised with liberal license for social, clinical, criminal, political, and climate progress. Keep the feminine gender affordable, available, reusable, and taxable, and the "burden" of evidence aborted and sequestered in sanctuary states.

You know, you could garner massive rightie support for government funded prison sex changes if you just re-marketed it as convict castration.

The prisoner would have to get the whole works, though: top, bottom, hormones, the whole nine yards. Can’t stop at the boobies-and-wiener phase.

I remember when I did Youth & Government, every year some wisenheiner kids would float a castration-for-rape bill….the suppor is out there!

Some countries do castrate sex criminals. It's been 20+ years since I read a news story that revealed in passing that Germany does. (I would have thought the legacy of Nazi doctors would have made them less likely to do so. I think there may be other countries that do this as well.)

Anyway, a German who had raped more than one (I think) little girl was surgically castrated, missed having sexual urges, and convinced a doctor to provide substitute hormones to replace the ones his missing testicles had provided. Whether he convinced an honest doctor that he'd lost his balls in an industrial accident, or paid a crooked doctor a lot of money under the table, I do not know. Then he raped a little girl (7? 9? I forget), killed her to make it less likely that he would be caught, was caught anyway, and brought to trial. The girl's mother got hold of a handgun somehow (probably not easy in Germany) and shot him dead right in front of the judge and jury. She probably had to serve some time in jail, but not a lot of years, and no doubt thought it was worth it.

That shooting was what made the story international news, but the fact that they castrated rapists in Germany, treated as mere background information, struck me and stuck in my memory. I had never suspected that.

I concluded that maybe they should have cut off the entire "meat and two veg", as the British euphemism goes, not just the metaphorical vegetables.

I hate to say it but nancy is right. From the leftwing point of view. The Right is always stuck on stupid, and incredibly lazy since they don't really like Politics. And so the minute they win a victory, they want to stick out an olive branch to the Left, assume all is well, and go drink a beer and watch a football game.

The underlying trend is in the D's favor. Its in the Lefts favor. Trump victory wasn't a "Landslide", it was fairly close in the 7 swing states. The R's barely won the Senate, and House is up for grabs.

This all after the D's ran one of the worst campaigns in history. With one of the weakest candidates in history. And with high crime, massive illegal immigration, an inflation ridden economy and most of the country saying we were "on the wrong Track". And yet they haven't been wiped out, but barely beaten.

You still have 45 percent of the USA that will vote D - no matter what. You simply CANNOT get through to these assholes. Until they are hurt personally, big time, by D policies, just before an election, they will continue to vote D - no matter what. There's no reason why Minnasota, Washington, Colorado, or Oregon, based on their demographics should be voting D. The only reason is you have moronic libtards living in a fantasy world. And they will never wake up.

All the D's have to do is swing 5 percent of the USA, and they're back in the saddle. Pelosi has reason to be complacent.

It shouldn't be surprising that legal immigrants are among the strongest supporters of anti-illegal immigrant legislation. They live in the same communities that must direct resources to provide basic welfare to them, compete for the same jobs--which acts to lower their wages--and also have to deal with the crime that can result in neighborhoods where unemployment is high.

Republican governors' strategy to transport illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities in blue states- like New York, LA, Chicago--may have been cynical, but it worked in bringing home the issues of illegal immigration to blue states which resulted in sharp drops in support for Democrats in big cities across the country.

"The big underlying groundswell out among the American people is a deep-seated desire to move the national leadership down a generation. Harris has hit this moment both beautifully and with perfect execution. She's not a punchline in anyone's joke anymore.

Harris' acceptance speech was an example of first-rank speech writing well delivered. One can expect to hear these themes expanded and driven home in the fall campaign. FDR-like.

The Harris campaign is also hitting Trump where he ain't. That will most likely destabilize the Trump campaign and personally unhinge the Personality himself.

Harris also picked the right guy to be her vice presidential candidate--a strong complement that strengthens her campaign and the Democratic party in the vital Midwest middle class. Harris has also picked the right national security adviser in Phil Gordon. Picking the right topnotch person for the big jobs is a crucial skill for presidential success -- and Harris far exceeds Trump at this vital skill.

The consolidation of support after Biden's withdrawal, the VP selection, the smooth runup to the convention, the perfectly managed convention that was competence on display -- all of this should be a powerful boost to the assurance and confidence of Democrats going into a consequential election where the Democrats have a chance too capture the future in a once-in-a-generation way. She is a proving to be a perfect candidate for a turn-the-page election.

The deeply flawed Republican party is going to become even more flawed. Will Trump become an indelible stain?"

That is Bich from August above.

This is not surprising. Hear the same thing from friends in Brooklyn. I think part of this can be explained by a deep-seated need not to look to closely at your own values and positions. A chief benefit of this type of reaction by Pelosi is that it obviates the need to look at your own positions and actions and ask "Did I get something wrong?" "Is there anythng about my own worldview that I should rethink, or look at more closely?" Zero reflection. Like Tallyrand's comments about the Bourbons. "They have learned nothing."

The first lesson for liberal Democrats, is to understand that populists don’t have ‘resentments’. When you lose the election, stop explaining to the other side that they chose the wrong answer.

Brexit and Trump have a lot in common; it’s a fairly understandable reaction to overreach by a liberal establishment. This is why (for e.g.) the trans issue cut through so much in the US. I shouldn’t think that many Americans care all that deeply, but it highlights to a baffled population (who thought they knew the difference between boys and girls) that the Democrats are spending quite a lot of time living on another planet. The EU did much the same thing: loads of issues which were of minimal consequence, but were totemic in illustrating to Brexit voters that “these are not my people”.

Nancy Pelosi Insists the Election Was Not a Rebuke of the Democrats

Actually, yes it was. Yesterday a young woman named Evan Barker published an article in Bari Weiss’s Free Press that begins as follows:

I was 17 when I started working in Democratic politics. While still in high school, I was an intern for Barack Obama’s first presidential campaign; later, I served as a field organizer for Hillary Clinton. By the time I turned 26, I was a consultant for dozens of U.S. House and Senate campaigns, four George Soros-backed district attorney races, and a wide range of Democratic organizations. I’ve raised at least $50 million for the left.

And yet, on Tuesday, I voted for Donald Trump. It felt like the biggest middle finger I’ve ever raised to the party I’d supported for most of my adult life. When he won, I was utterly euphoric.

Let me tell you why.

It’s a story of betrayal, and of hope.

Why did they vote for Trump? Because they didn't want to pay off the White House intern's college debt, nor anyone else's debt. They earn less than $100,000 a year, and no one is paying off their debt nor have they asked that others do.

2. For the radicals, the Almighty State is their god, even though not by name but in practice.

3
What they frame as 'a woman's right to choose,' whatever a woman is these days, or reproductive choice if you will, is a cover for what they really mean: preventing over reproduction of the deplorables. They have made it an article of faith, a sacrament, and a holy obligation.

Nope nope nope, you left out a step: violent rapists could be actually castrated, given top surgery, put on estrogen and progesterone - but NOT transferred into women's prisons. Because they would still be people who committed violence against women and would still have the advantage, on average, of considerably greater size and strength.

But then they could not be kept in a men's prison gen pop either, in good conscience.

So, full transition surgery as the inmate requests, followed by solitary confinement forever?
