You know, Hillary used to try to promote herself with drinks.

I see Kamala is using alcohol as a come-on to Hispanic voters: Trump wants to tax "your tequila, Modelos, and Coronas."

I remember Hillary using beer:

Notice how the Communists want the taxes to only fall on beer produced in the US.

They want everyone/everything to be imported and domestic producers out of business.

Fiesta! Then siesta. She doesn't think much of Hispanics. At least she doesn't insult their people with the transgender label: HispanicX.

If they won't take a knee, how can they be "good" Americans. You can't be a "good" American if you don't take a knee.

Hillary’s Chardonnay-fueled rages could be the stuff of a kaiju renaissance—“Hillary vs. MechaHillary”, “Godzilla vs. Duh Thang” (viewable only in South Chicago cinemas), “Shin Hillary”, “Crankle Hillary”, “Hillary on Epstein Island”, “Destroy All Democrats”.

Hillary and Elizabeth Warren (?!) tried to chug beers because they were confident of being taken "seriously" but needed "working class cred." Kamala's problem is that people don't think she's actually aged out of giving handies at the frat house, so beer won't strengthen her.

These idiots don't realize that President Trump never has to guzzle beer, possibly because his policies are actually welcomed by voters and certainly because his popularity isn't entirely astroturfed. His personal preferences mean almost nothing in the face of that.

I don't buy the bullshit that Trump wants to tax spirits. But even if all that part was true, the alternative is an administration that ramps up inflation on energy, food, and healthcare that will make you want to drink. Hell a 12 pack of sodas now costs twice as much as when Trump was President.

My unscientific observation from my catbird seat in Las Vegas is that the Hispanics who live here don't like being patronized any more than anybody else does. Victimhood does not sit well with them.

I was about to mention 'Fauxcahontas' and her completely phoney 'having-my-beer-in-the-kitchen' routine.

That's still a lot of people.

I know quite a few Hispanic people, some of them born in the US, some not. I've helped some get green cards, and employed them. But all of them, the ones I know, are hard working, and have a strong work ethic. To a 'one', they don't like the open border situation. It might be because it reminds them of what they've left behind, or it might be because they have a sharper vision of when it means, and what it will come to mean, in the near future - knowing what these people will bring with them. I think it's the latter that is dominant.

But quite a few of these people get relief, too - from the charities, from SNAP and the food banks, generally from the social safety net. And that will tend to split the vote, because that is the message they are susceptible to: The scare-mongering racist-classist message from Democrats, that Republicans will abolish these services.

Well, on the plus side, it wasn't as heart wrenching as Elizabeth Warren's struggles with alcohol. Also to the plus side Hillary can speak fluent Wonkinese. I have heard her say many comprehensible things unlike Kamala who lapses into "See Spot run" gibberish whilst trying to enunciate a policy. Kamala even sounds phony when she talks about smoking marijuana.,

The people behind the "Stormy Daniels" hoax ignore Trump's germaphobia. Why would anyone think he would get close to an old "glory hole" like her ?

In order to be taxed on your alcohol beverage of choice, you must have the money to purchase it in the first place.

I was today years old when I learned that there were no Federal taxes on alcohol.

alcoholics PROBABLY should NOT film themselves drinking.. It gives people the wrong idea.

Some survey some place claimed to show that Democrats were pandering and patronizing African-Americans and other minority groups while Republicans just treated such groups the same way as other Americans. This would be an illustration of that. It's like Jill Biden's comparing Mexican-Americans to breakfast tacos. Now, Hispanics are as diverse as tequila, Corona, and Modelo.

My internet radio station, which would never skew conservative, has a constant commercial about the proposed menthol cigarette ban. It's an issue with traction the GOP ignores.

Donald Trump, "The Tariff Man," has identified what he sees as an all-purpose fix for what ails America: Slap huge new tariffs on foreign goods entering the United States. He has proposed a 60% tariff on goods from China and up to 20% on everything else the United States imports.

This week, he raised the ante still higher. To punish the machinery manufacturer John Deere for its plans to move some production to Mexico, Trump vowed to tax anything Deere tried to export back into the United States — at 200%.

And he threatened to hit Mexican-made goods with 100% tariffs, a move that would risk blowing up a trade deal that Trump’s administration negotiated with Canada and Mexico.

Trump insists that foreign countries pay for tariffs but American-domiciled companies pay tariffs, and the money goes to the Treasury. Those companies, in turn, typically pass their higher costs on to their customers through higher prices. That’s why economists say consumers usually end up footing the bill.

Trump must have a below-90 IQ, because he has proposed a 20% tariff on all imports everywhere except China where the rate is three times higher.

But you already commented about this, above. Squeezing that turnip, amirite?

Tariffs, like taxes on unrealized gains and price controls are proposals made by either ignorant or cynical politicians to appeal to either ignorant or stupid voters.

How did Trump’s tariffs which were enacted to save US Steel?

How did the Smoot-Hawley Tariffs workout?

20% tariffs on all imports are a tax on US consumers. If you believe Trump’s assertion that they do not impact US consumers you are an imbecile.

I assume AMDG also thinks Reagan was "an imbecile" for tariffs on Japanese cars that caused Japan to move car factories to the US and create thousands of jobs.

AMDG said...

Michael K - Reagan did not have tariffs. There were quotas but they were not broad based like Trump’s idiocy. A better comparison point would be the Smoot-Hawley Tariffs which exasperated the Great Depression.

It's not global tariffs. Its a policy targeting labor and environmental arbitrage, and monetary manipulation underlying immigration reform, Green deals, and progressive prices.

If the Great Depression was so exasperated, why would it stick around to be further irritated, nettled, peeved, provoked, and riled?
