My wife just shared with me that in a neighborhood about one mile away (3 to 20 million dollar homes), a lady was followed home from a restaurant (takeout order) and robbed and beaten in her garage/house. She was not sexually assaulted and she lived. She said the 4 perps only spoke spanish, as they used phones to talk with her. They roughed her up a bit when they asked where the hidden safe was and she said there was not one.

2 points:

1. W does not live too far away. I wish he would speak out on stuff like this, but of course he will not.
2. I hope the DJT team knows how to take advantage of stuff like this. For all thier faults, Bush 1 and 2 would know how to own this issue/story.

Cheers all!

Arizona Democrats often run as "bipartisan" candidates because there are a lot of very gullible older people here who just want things to be peaceful.

Gallego and Engels are running ads saying that they are working to fix the border. Hilarious since they have been steadfastly for illegal immigration and benefits for the immigrants.

One gets the sense that Democrats in purple states are trying to run away from the Biden-Harris record, as if Trump has been in office the last four years.

I am waiting for the usual "Republicans want to end Social Security and Medicare" ads that have come out every four years since the 70's.

Isn't election season fun?

I'm of two minds this election. Donald Trump is vastly superior to Kamala Harris in every way, and he absolutely deserves to win. I also feel a bit of jingoistic go-team enthusiasm for the guy. I really HOPE that he wins.

Having said all of that, I think it might be preferable to see Harris elected, preferably with a clearly tainted and dishonest election. Trump is very old and he will start out as a lame duck utterly opposed by all of the DC establishment and media. Best case scenario is that he does a bit better than last time but is largely stymied in his plans. Also, he is inheriting an economy on the cusp of recession.

We will have 4 years of Trump hate and impeachments probably followed by a president Shapiro for 8 years. Shapiro is actually smart and effective and will be much more capable of really screwing up the country than Harris is.

If Harris is elected, she will be totally ineffectual and do plenty of damage where can, but no worse than Biden (same team running her after all). She will be a one term president. Provided she doesn't provoke WW3, we will very likely see a massive swing away from the Democrats and get 8 years of Republicans in charge. Considering how incensed the rank and file non GOPe Republicans will be, we might even get a really strong candidate. Our own American Javier
Millei perhaps?

I'm voting for Trump because I can't bring myself to support that woman, but I won't be brokenhearted if the halfwit takes it.

How is it that Kamala Harris is able to campaign as if she's challenging the incumbent? Democrats hold the White House and have 12 of the last 16 years.

This is a damning report on the behind the scenes machinations at Anthony Fauci's NIAD to save everybody's butts. It's compiled from FIOA requests of emails and correspondence by U.S. Right to Know. They are doing God's work.

There were a couple of white hats at NIH headquarters, in particular Michael Lauer, Deputy Director for Extramural Research. In the summer of 2020 he suspends Dasak's grant and sets conditions for reinstatement. Look at his letter and ask yourself if that's not exactly what he should be doing (like file your required progress report!) given the circumstances. But if this is a lab leak, Dasak can't do these things w/o being exposed, so he doesn't. But he still thinks he should have his grant reinstated.

His buddies at NIAID (which is one of 27 Institutes within NIH) tell him to chill and they'll give him a shiny new, $7.5M grant. Daszak pockets that, but still continues to demand reinstatement of the suspend grant. If nothing else, he has chutzpah .

I was an NIH PI who funded my lab off R01s, the same funding mechanism used by Peter Daszak of EcoHealth, for my entire career. I read through all this slack jawed. If I had failed to file progress reports or ignored a request for data from NIH I have no doubt my grant would have been cancelled, as it should have been. But when you have your program director and the institute director (Fauci) colluding with you, apparently you can ignore NIH-central (which is exactly what his NIAID collaborators were telling him to do).

The big picture here is, read through this article and ask yourself, is this how innocent players act? Millions of people died and these people are guilty as sin. And they're getting away with it.

IMO - Part of it is the heavy D tilt of MSM and Hollywood, part of is due to the limitations/shortfalls of DJT.

The internet: "The department (of justice) has an unwritten practice, known as the 60-day rule, under which it traditionally avoids taking investigative steps close to an election that could influence how people vote. The idea is to avoid any appearance of abusing law enforcement power to affect democracy."

I think they need to expand the unwritten rule to include no attempts on the life of former presidents running for re-election.

I'm just thinking about the caos of having to print and mail billions of ballots so close to the election deadline. It just wouldn't be fair.

Oh, and lookee here:

August 27, 2020
Another $8.9 million is also awarded to two coauthors of the “Proximal Origin” paper that Fauci cited to downplay the possibility of a lab leak at the April 17, 2020, press conference.

That would be Andersen (and I'm not going to look up who the other guy is).

Very early on, Andersen told Fauci the virus looked engineered. Over a weekend, Fauci told him to write a paper saying it was wild. He did, and he was richly rewarded.

The Proximal Origins paper was used as a "Science Says" cudgel for months.

Well, it’s because 1) the media is comprised of a plethora of corrupt, leftwing, corporate cheerleaders and only a smattering of journalists, 2) the Democrats - in the main - are malevolent, treasonous, lying sacks of shit who have set this nation up for cataclysmic acts of terror with their open border policy. How insane is that!?

Seriously… how can that treasonous action be excused or ignored. Fuck these people.

Okay then.

Sprezzatura said...

That means one of two things:

1) The evil lib government is like a broken clock, so every now and then they get it right w/o trying, even though all they care about is lawfare against innocent DJT.

2) This is the evil lib government going after a lib as trickery. They want to make it seem like they prosecute wrong doing when the find it. But really they only go after law fare against innocent DJT. But this indictment is meant to hide the Ds evil lawfare ways re attacking innocent DJT.

Obviously it's impossible to imagine that the gov is going after illegality regardless of the political affiliation of the perps. DJT is always innocent and saying otherwise is a witch hunt!

In a completely expected turn of events, even under the softest of the soft conditions, the usually inebriated kamala-la-la-la-la could not even "answer" the "led by the nose" "questions" (wink wink) the moron Stephanie Ruhle was tossing up in her "interview" with kamala-la-la-la-la.

You could see the look on li'l Steph's face as kamala-la-la-la-la struggled with 2+2 level teed up "questions", which she had in advance along with her team!

There really is no getting past just how low her IQ must be to have this happen time after time after time after time with out a single instance in her past where she has demonstrated anything but that level of non-thinking.

Talk about being burdened by the past......and the present.....and what's coming next........

Meanwhile on the Northern Border.....as we get invaded by GOD KNOWS WHO......what is she planning on doing about it?? Giving them education, healthcare, food and lodging isn't working....for us Americans who are paying for it all, whilst she is living like the Queen she thinks she is.

Well yes, quite so. Government dictating price levels for private enterprises is indeed far left policy. It is also profoundly misguided and counterproductive, some might describe it as very stupid, but that assumes good motives on the part of the politicians. I have my doubts about that.

She says this all the time now, same three nouns. She’s creepily robotic, with no on-the-fly response at all. Like a jukebox, she can only respond in limited ways when someone mentions a key word. It’s real but at the same time quite unbelievable that she could actually be the nominee of a major party.

So you want Trump, our convicted criminal and rapist, to become the first white supremacist and racketeer to be elected twice. He suddenly will have the authority to give our unique democracy over to Putin now that POTUS has granted him permission to do anything he wishes without penalty. U.S. president and Russian oligarch all in one. No elections after this one. Donald loves us - yes he does.

I too am old but not yet that slow. Trump, on the other hand, is totally demented.
